ontopic; Think I'm going to go to home hardware soon and see if i can convince them to stock my favourite ammos, it's like a 45minute drive but its the closest place i know that carries ammo.
(t. anon who cant order ammo online due to PObox bullshit)
>>
>>62865516
Ammo is usually shipped by UPS or purolator (depending on where you order from), which can't deliver to PO boxes anyway. I used to live in a small town with no street mailboxes, all mail goes to PO boxes only. Purolator still delivered ammo fine to my house address.
>>
>>62865705
>Ammo is usually shipped by UPS or purolator
I know, and i am outside of their service areas, neither of them come anywhere within an hour of where i live, unfortunately.
The only way to get things shipped here is cadpost, to the post office. Or some obscure 3rd party shipping company i cannot remember, did ship a package to my house once, it was just a dude in a minivan lol.

Yeh other than grocery shopping and this shit, its fuggin great.
'Good' news tho! i do seem to be able to place an ammo order anyway, inspite of my location; ofc i must set the shipping address as my home/onfile address, but it(reliablegun) automatically changes the shipping destination to the nearest purolator centre
The catch; it is 154km away, a 2hr 2min drive according to googlemaps, lmao
I just want some fuckin 22subs man..

Also, fuckin 15min wait, i waited it, then as soon as i hit the getcaptcha button, it reset and i had to wait it again, shits broken.

Any tips on using 7.62x39 projectiles and powder to reload .30-06 ammo for the range? Can I just get a bullet puller and put the bullet and powder back into fired .30-06 brass? How many times can I use fired brass like this? If this works I only need to buy primers, since you can't really remove

I've never shot skeet with a SxS or O/U, just pumps & semis.
>>
>>62866441
well its worth experimenting with. are bullets and powder hard for you to find though? i only disassemble poor condition ammo, generally not to convert calibers because its technically a waste of resources

You can sort of make old Boxer primers work a second time by flattening the dimple in the cup and putting a little Armstrong's compound between the cup and anvil. They become corrosive as fuck, so you need to clean your gun ASAP after shooting same as if you were using surplus ammo.

I'd recommend against using 7.62x39 bullets and powder. .30-06 bullets are .308" in diameter, 7.62x39 are about .311-.312". They're also much lighter than the sorts of bullets you want to use in .30-06. Likewise, the powder charge would be super low, and would be less efficient in the big case over the smaller intermediate case.

You're effectively putting in a shitload of effort to make cartridges that'll have less performance than an x39 out of your full-power hunting rifle. You could make 7.62x54R work a LOT easier and better, but then you'll need to drop a grain or two of powder per cartridge to keep the pressure safe, and you'll want to resize all your bullets before reloading them. At that point, why not spend the time, effort, and money on a Mosin?
>>

Sask was hiring recently too, they pay better. Their firearms officers aren't RCMP employees so their benefits packages might be less generous, but on the plus side they don't have to follow the RCMP's mandatory homosexuality policy.

Thank you. I may have made a couple mistakes here and there in the process.

I saw some AKs online with weird coloured stocks (emerald green, firetruck red) that'd been dyed or stained, and thought blue might look good on my gun. It didn't. Sandpaper and alcohol helped fix that, though, and the little bit of blue that remained actually helped deepen the grain and shadows in a couple areas when I through the red/brown stain on.

Now I just need to find the time to disappear into the woods for a while and test it out

I find it super helpful to have a surface to push the stock back into my shoulder with, and to push the muzzle down. This does both. I also really wanted a place to mount a light. I was running one of the TI Chinesium m-lok forends, that worked and felt great right up until several of the heads on the allen screws holding it together started stripping out. Not a fan of the idea of loosing access to my gas block and piston, so that had to go. This works a lot better.

bending? converting a standard mosin bolt to the bent version involves cutting off the old handle and either welding or drilling and tapping a new one onto it
the easiest solution is just finding a bent handle bolt body or buy an entire mosin that already has one

>t. literal jeet propaganda
>"DON'T TRUST THE PEOPLE WE FORCED TO FLEE TO YOUR COUNTRY THROUGH GENERATIONS OF STARVATION, REPRESSION, AND RAPE, THEY WANT TO KILL YOU!"
That's very strange, why would the jeets want us to think that the people who have been here for generations and commonly known for being respectable members of most communities, want us all dead?
And all this so suddenly after their diplomats were expelled, and their government linked to an assassination both here and in the US?
Isn't it strange that an unstable Canada rife with internal conflict would stand to benefit the brownoids by removing the one region they usually flee to when their government chimps out once every few decades?
Man, those sure are some weird coincidences.

Sikhs, Hindus, whatever - they're all jeets to me and they all need to leave.
>>
>>62867680
as long as the clamp is set firmly on but still removable it should technically hold zero. thats the whole point of the siderail, to be able to remove the optic by hand if necessary
>>
>>62867691
Maybe we should be sending them back armed so they can carve out the chunk of India they want.
Maybe instead of dealing with the problems India sends our way, we should start send bigger problems back to India.
>>
>>62867680
The main point of a siderail is to do exactly that, so you can take the gun apart for cleaning and not lose zero. I've found my SigmaCo rail and CSA Vz. 58 mount retain zero better than my Mastermount mount and rail, but both do a decent job.

>>
>>62867878
$275 for the handguard (with grooves, but unfinished so I could match it to the stock and grip), $80 for the M-Lok plate, and $80 for the grater. My T81 is a weird one, so I actually had to modify it a bit with a dremel and some shims to get it to fit right. If you have the tools on hand, I'd recommend buying the m-lok direct from the states and install it yourself, and make your own grater. I just don't have access to my router table anymore, and I was worried about getting the bend on the grater right, so I bought it all from him at the same time.

Ok one the master sailors got in a world of shit for matching with a student on tinder.

We had just done a course on showing respect to others. This lady with the family services comes in. Her English was pretty poor but we could understand her. One of the dumb fucks in my platoon spoke French. This mother fucker said something to her in French so bad she left the room crying. Our staff come in and flips the desk and tells us we have 30 seconds to get the north doors. We got north doored on week one. That’s how my platoon got north doored on week one

Last one
The teens were pretty bad for not locking up their laptops. I mean one black kid had 6 swipes in one week over it. As punishment the staff came into our rooms and flipped all our shit even personal stuff. Funny enough when I VR as I had to come home with my wife being pregnant the staff asked me not to report that during the exit interview. I didn’t report them for that but I did complain about how the staff didn’t seem to care and would half ass drill lessons and weapon lessons.

Oh during my exit interview they asked if I wanted to work from home after BMQ…. Which idk how that would work as I was a combat trade.

TLDR it looks like the Canada post business gun seizure won’t be happing in Saskatchewan as Canada post hasn’t gotten a permit under the Sask firearms act. As well it’s causing quite a legal headache for some observers.

If the BCL 308 thing proves better than already demonstrated, I've been thinking about getting one.
I got the opportunity to shoot a friends RFB and the recoil was pleasant, being a bullpup with no real estate for a WML or bipod, and taking FAL mags of all things, really steers me away from getting one.
The ButtCrack Labs 308 takes normal mags and AR triggers, I want it to be good for the pricetag anons

BCL tends to put out garbage so id be surprised if their qc suddenly improves on the 308 but will definitely be a more budget option if so

I made my own beef jerky recently. Just cut thick slices of beef, with Worcestershire sauce, honey, salt&pepper and dehydrated in air fryer at 180° for 4 hours. It's only lightly seasoned so it mostly tastes like beef.

Nah, that's the biggest lie the "Brahmins" will tell you. It's true that the caste system was originally race-based about 3500 years ago when it distinguished between the Indo-Aryan invaders and conquered native jeet slaves (the "Shudra" worker caste), but the Indo-Aryan kingdoms were eventually overthrown by other jeets who adopted the caste system wholesale.

tl;dr: all jeets are the same kind of scum, and have been a willing slave race for more than 3000 years

Guns are completely normal where I live. Everyone has at least 1 friend who hunts. The other day I saw an old man at the post office wearing an "IN GLOCK WE TRUST" shirt. I've never heard of a single person getting red flagged and I am not concerned about it.

There's more to it than that. (I don't know what though). The quebeckers were just as bad, and the Canadian tendency for war crimes continued post-WWI & WWII.

The guy told me he was planning on getting his PAL so I recommended him an instructor which was closer. Also I think the box with a shipping label from a gun-store that's pretty long and heavy is red flag worthy itself.

someone asked me what was in the box once and i said a golf club

Well maybe we need to get rid of them if they're so unimportant. Police and doctors aren't allowed to strike because the consequences would be so dire. Clearly posties don't value their jobs.

I hope PP rams a big fat union-busting dick up their ass. They're not the only ones who can deliver firearms anyways.

Public service unions consist of government employees who are incentivized at all times to raise taxes, negotiating "against" the government who are incentivized at all times to raise taxes, about how much they should raise taxes.
They shouldn't be allowed to exist for any public service, any time, anywhere.
Not even for the the Department of Public Free C1A1 Supply (although those fellas should obviously be well paid).

Also the cant really go to the artic even in summer because the hulls to think. Also 20mm tiny useless gun it cant even point down which is where anything it be good against would be.

Heard noises outside again.
Should i shoot the skunk if it comes back?
They actually havent caused me any major issues other than skunking the dog several times (but the dog is gone now) and making a mess in the garage last night. but i am concerned it may be a threat to the chimkens. (to my knowledge, skunks like to poach eggs, but only attack the chickens if provoked, but the same is true of weasels, who have killed multiple chickens, because a broody hen or a rooster will set them off)
Shoot to kill, Yay or nay?
will probably use a 22mag with hornady varmint rounds, then have to scrape the stanky fucker off the ground.

There are giant ass bill boards, tik tok videos and recruiters in India, some being paid by Canadian universities and diploma Mills to advertise to East Indians. They tell them if they get a study permit it’s a guaranteed path to PR.
>that’s a lie
They tell them if they work at Tim’s and get a degree they can make a million bucks
>that’s a lie
The recruiter then charges the dumbass poo a fuck ton of money to get to Canada. The poos family will sell the farm or take on tons of debt. The poo arrives and then realizes it’s hell and would push through to not look like an ass to his family or will kill him self. Some will never realize it’s a scam and will protest when they realize they’re getting deported for over staying study visa. Others will scam, commit crime etc etc.
>tldr scammers getting scammed

>>
>>62874992

>>
>>62875741
Never heard of them, I love Aliexpress but I'd never buy something more than like $50 from there. Especially when it's a fragile precision thing like a scope. Getting help or a refund from support sucks, maybe they'd even ask you to return something that expensive which would be worse. Can't you find the same scope on Amazon? Or buy a used one for that price?
>>
>>62875741
For that price you could buy a Vortex Diamondback which will have far better build quality.
>but muh lpvo
The nashville shooter was shot at point blank range. LPVO is a meme. Eotech+magnifier or Acog is a better option unless you intend on shooting really long range and in that case get a proper rifle scope.
>>
>>62875804
>>62875831
Seems like it btfo the strike eagle for hundreds less. I don't care for eotechs. I am used to using scopes and I prefer them by far to a red dot or holo. I know it's a meme and I don't care.
>>
>>62875741
Dude just buy a poortex or a primary arms if you’re gonna pay 400+ after shipping and taxes for a scope
>>
>>62875831
LPVOs suck. +1 for acog
>>
>>62875919
Wow you mean according to their own advertising it does better than XYZ competitor product?? Waow!
>>
>>62875741
ive tried vector micro red dots and they work fine. i just needed an inexpensive red dot that was nv compatible for the very unlikely chance id want to passive aim at close range
>>
>>62875979
It's a guy on youtube that reviews scopes but yeah....any scope less than $3500 or so is gonna have drawbacks. Even the "entry level" $2000 nightforce stuff is crap with lots of bad reviews.

lpvos suck unless you pay 2K+ for the best ones e.g. razor, atacr (I know you poorfags didn't)
>>
>>62876155
lpvos inherently suck just based off what they are designed to be so i will never pay 2k+ for one
you could get a really good 2-7x with half that kind of money that would do a better job than an lpvo would
the only advantage an lpvo has is it can go to 1x but the 1x is absolutely terrible compared to a traditional red dot so its not even a real advantage
>>
>>62876155
I have an ACOG, hardly a poorfag optic
>>
>>62876189
for me its the eotech + magnifier
>>

>the only advantage an lpvo has is it can go to 1x but the 1x is absolutely terrible compared to a traditional red dot so its not even a real advantagethe only advantage an lpvo has is it can go to 1x but the 1x is absolutely terrible compared to a traditional red dot so its not even a real advantage

whats so bad about them? I hear all the bitching about how its no good for a 1x but havent really heard anything other then that. my Primary Arms SLx 1-6 is perfect for me needs. Other then my elcan
>>
>>62876356
so aside from lpvos having slight distortion at 1x meaning you cant effectively aim with both eyes open like with a red dot, with a red dot you have a ton of eyebox meaning your eye doesnt have to be directly centered behind the optic to see the reticle. lpvos have a very limited eyebox where you need to have your eye centered in order to use the reticle. that can be a problem when it comes to close quarters shooting or shooting in an awkward position
>>
>>62876388
>you cant effectively aim with both eyes open like with a red dot
>lpvos have a very limited eyebox
not true, unless maybe with shit chinesium lpvos
more limited eyebox than a red dot for sure, but not in a substantially impairing way
>>
>>62876407
yeah its not as good as a red dot at 1x thats what i said
>>
>>62876407
i can come up with more stuff... like an lpvo is much heavier than a red dot, it obstructs back up iron sights unless you run 45 degree ones which isnt too common, lpvo doesnt work with night vision.
all this stuff can apply to the elcan also. elcans got really limited eye relief which sucks... lpvos beat elcans in that respect. i compare them because they weigh about the same

Sup,babes.
Man, I gotta get a new optic. Luv me elcan, but fugg is it not optimal.
>>
>>62876388
okay im the anon who asked the question whats so bad about them?

>effectively aim with both eyes open like with a red do
I get that but i dont see an advantage to shooting with both eyes open on a rifle (i can see the two eyes open on shooting a pistol).
>eyebox
I get this one, i agree that the eye box is limited but can be overcome with training, and with the 1x distortion problem i 100% dont think is a problem, if its within a certain tolerances.

overall i think people need to stop focusing on the little draw backs on their gear since nothings going to be perfect and play with the strengths, use what youre used to and what you train with. As well as buy things that suit you and your environment. If im at my cottage i got a LPVO for hunting and a elcan if im in the woods. IMO i think LPVOs are great for my uses
>>
>>62876607
it looks cool but i think lpvos outclass it, though in fairness the elcan was a thing before modern lpvos hit the market
>>62876609
both eyes open is good for peripheral vision so dont have a blind spot in a boog situation
no optic setup is perfect though. obviously an lpvo will be superior at long range, its the short range thats the tradeoff
