you are lame
>>

Why? warfare always change, ww4 will be fully computerized.
Sadly the only thing that will never get replaced are the men and women being sent to the grinder

>Can't be used in storms

>>
>>62933242
And you don't believe MIC's won't try to upgrade drones to face those obstacles?
>>
Not even Ukraine says that drones are a replacement for everything you listed. But is another tool to improve the effectiveness of existing systems/units. The answer isn't to build a goofy drone force but to attach every combat unit a specialist drone operator.
>>
>>62933301
Because it's the beggining, just give it a couple of decades, and there will be drone operated bombers in massive quantities
>>
>>62933176
If you mean small quadcopters, then lolnope

If you mean unmanned platforms in general then the things making certain types of tanks, planes and ships obsolete will just be unmanned tanks, planes and ships.

The thing with drones is that the energy density in lithium batteries are still pretty shit for military purposes. It will always be a fragile toy. The only reason it works against slavs is because they're incompetent as fuck.
>>

The war in Ukraine proved everyone was retarded

>>62933176
I want a future where jamming is so universal, that even electricity is knocked out, and we're back to fighting with swords and cannon.
>>
>>62933242
uh how so?

You drop a million or so over the enemy from you missiles, each one can explode.

Your fucked and your infrastructure is fucked.
>>
>>62933897
What the fuck are you even trying to say.
>>
>>62933897
>Got perfectly functional high-yield missiles
>"Nah let's instead waste the payload space by cramping it full of shitty low-yield slow af plastic toys because papa's musky crotch said 'jone gud'"
>>
>>62933897
and wheres the drone to drop the drones onto the enemy country?
>>
>>62933176
You can stop a drone swarm by jamming their comms with an EA-18G Growler, this is a platform that is 15 years old already. Not that it matters because drones are limited by their range and unable to do many things.
The idea that drones will make everything obsolete is a midwit take.

Yes we will have drone swarms, and they will be used situationally but they won't replace everything.
And they have weak points, the tech isn't there yet.
>>
>>62933932
are growlers really only 15 years old? what did we use before then?
>>
>>62934102
the Prowler.
>>
>>62933176
I don't think this little plastic toy will hold up well against 40mm airburst munitions.
>>
>>62933176
Why didn't they work against Israel then?
>>
>>62933852
"The tiniest the better" will become the new motto in the future
>>
>>62933176
They dominate so hard on the cost front. APS systems, drone jammers, GROWLERS, all a lot more expensive than a chinese plastic toy with a grenade. Only solution I can imagine with cost-parity is a dude with buckshot shooting them like skeets
>>
>>62933617
It's not even just about batteries, aerodynamic drag is disproportionately worse the smaller and lighter the aircraft is.

If only it could make niggerfaggots like OP obsolete too.

I don't think any of your meme arrows are correct.

why do you people assume the drone cannot function autonomously from within its Faraday cage
>b-but the antenna
yes, nobody has ever developed any sort of concept of a limiting device for electronics. i sure hope this doesn't blow the fuse in your brain
fucking hell you could probably airgap the actual antenna input if you wanted to be autistic about it (thanks, photons!)
>>
>>62936278
Until those concepts modernized and countermeasures were actually made, then biplanes became worthless, which lead to even newer more deadlier aircraft and so on and so forth.
>>
>>62936492
I wonder how countermeasures against massive swarm of drones might look like
Refined cope cages, more jamming, or another swarm of droned

Every single time an AI has been tested for live combat it has been a fucking disaster. Half the time they attack their own side, and the other half they attack trees and shadows that are "99% confirmed enemy combatant"

So the US military is incompetent?: https://www.twz.com/air/drone-incursions-over-usaf-bases-in-uk-enter-second-week

Endgame for drone warfare is nanobots inside everyone's body and around infrastructure.

If you don't do what the person in charge of it tells you to do they can kill anybody anywhere at any time
>>
>>62944887
that's totalitarianism not war
>>
Could big surface ships theoretically just turn up the juice on their radars and fry drones?
>>
>>62944912

I was talking about on a geopolitcal standpoint, not controlling populations. "Russia stop invading Ukraine." "No." (all Russian government top officials die, or all Russian military who cross a defined gps line drop dead)

Nuclear weapons would legitimately be the only defense, have to wipe the entire sky, emp from it helps too.
>>
>>62933176
What these needs are QI wireless chargers. Have them land on a strip/pad with inductive chargers or magnetic resonance chargers and be able to hop from location to location. The country needs to build them like they build post office or EV charging stations. Or maybe EV charging stations of the future will offer wireless charging stations for autonomous drones.

Then they could roam for hundreds of miles to go scout and kill if necessary.
>>
>>62936107
predator drones are expensive. 20 mil for a single one (MQ-1) with all the necessary tech. mass producing thousands of quadcopters and attatching them with some IED would be cheaper and unstopable while the predator could get destroyed by some jet or whoever.

only problem atm is that you would need a single drone operator for every quad so its not possible for now

the future of all naval operations are fucking loitering, sleeping or submerged drones

The only reason small drones were so effective for so long in Ukraine was because it was novel. Now it's just a known tactic. Jamming will stop small drone like quadracopters unless you do the fiber optic line thing they are doing now, but that limits range and effectiveness.

>>62949117

Sure Epirus says that it works , but where is the proof that it does against drones not specifically used in their own marketing.
>>
>>62933176
Tesla coil type weapon system might be an option also lasers could work
the affective kill radius for modern grenades is 15 meters if you can prevent drone slop before that your golden.

I guess it depends on the drone. Like a remote controlled F-18 would have enough kVA onboard to have a decent hybrid gps, large power output antenna and so forth. Similar with globalhawks or other "big" drones.

Your bargain bin fpv doesn't have the juice to go through jamming or run a couple laser gyros to be spoof resistant.

I also don't think drone or UAV is a fitting term. In my mind pic related is basically a higher fidelity TOW missile. Which is completely different from some skynet type surveillance drone that can measure if you mowed your lawn this week.
