Canada Post strike must be fucking over rural Canadians right now. News is that negotiations still haven’t gone anywhere and chance of a government intervention (order back to work) is high. Basically, the union wants a pay raise, full-time employment and more paid leave. Canada Post is, apparently broke and therefore wants to layoff and move over to a part-time and gig-based work model. Canada Post won’t budge in the negotiations because they’re broke and probably knows the government will eventually force the union back to work. I mean, if you’re broke you’re broke. The union claims that’s a lie, but I bet everything I own that they don’t believe that and the leadership knows they’re fucked but has to put up the image of fighting for their members.

>goes broke

Best case scenario honestly, because it removes the government's lackey to help with gungrabbing. If government doesn't have the posties to do their bidding they'll have to open the door to other couriers carrying firearms, which means more shipping options for us!
>>
>>62940197
All the other shipping companies charge a gazillion dollars for anything though. That's why i always used Canada post as you could send letter mail for $1 and most packages would set you back less than $30. They really are fucking over the country right now though.
>>
>>62940154
There was talk going on that the government won't act on back to work legislation because that'll force the NDP to not look weak in front of their voter base and call an early election. This whole strike might actually work in our favor.
>>
>>62940236
The government doesn't need legislation to force them back to work. Just like the port worker's strikes a few weeks ago the Minister of Labour can order binding arbitration which has the same effect.
>>
>>62940236
NDP is all talk and full of shit. They'll force them back to work and Canadians won't give a shit, if anything they'll be happy.
>>
>>62940222
Economy of scale though; the more jobs they do the less they need to charge per job, and prices come down. Right now they're competing with Canada Post who is heavily subsidized to give cheaper rates overall.
>>
In regards to the NDP. I wonder if all Canadians go through a phase where we get disillusioned with Liberals and Conservatives and check out the NDP just to see if they could be a viable alternative choice — only to quickly discover that…no, they’re absolutely not. Oh well whatever. Being charged through the nose for parcel service will just be another sub-3rd world experience being a Canadian.
>>

The only people who consider the NDP are people with brain damage, usually lifelong Liberal voters who have shifted even harder to the left.

In reality the Libs and NDP are two sides of the same coin, they have been the same party for the past 9 years which is why everything has gone to shit.

NDP definitely do not want you to own guns, there was 1-2 MPs in the far north who made a stink about C21 but the rest were silent.
>>
>>62940306
If they were gunpilled and actually workers rights and not a bunch of faggy woke morons they would be a lot of palatable.

File: operator.jpg (195 KB, 826x1024)

>>62940342
The only workers the NDP represent are unskilled low-income retail workers or other depressed wagies. They aren't a party for working class in the sense of a plumber or truck driver. Those jobs all provide decent incomes and opportunity for growth, and combined with our current tax system it means the harder they work the less pay they take home. This pushes them towards lower-taxing idealogues (i.e. Conservatives). Plus most are rural or blue collar and tend to lean farther right socially speaking; they don't want their sons being turned into girls and jeets stabbing their daughters for refusing to date them.

NDP is basically a hobo shitting and pissing everywhere, demanding you give them your spare change. Liberals are the police officer with the gun demanding you hand over your change to the filthy piss soaked lunatic.

Majority of gun owners are conservative, so the gun grabbing is not just an attack on individual property rights but an attack on a political group. Gun owners are direct opposition to their intentions for the country and the fact that they have GUNS makes it even more difficult to oppress them.
I used to think sensible gun control was "reasonable". After seeing what follows in places like UK/NZ/AUS I actually want a huge relaxation in gun laws, and complete de-registration of all guns.

shit pay, shit work, shit options upon leaving, difficult to leave even when your contract is up, shit people to work with, shit gear, and an increasing likelihood you'll be sent to get your shit pushed in over in Ukraine or Middle East

also you'll be forced to move wherever they station you, majority of bases are in shitty places you would never want to spend any time.

if you're thinking it's a long term career thing you better be a bootlicking triple vaxxed boostie boy otherwise you'll go nowhere and be ostracized until you quit.

PLUS they don't even have HiPowers anymore, literally no good reason to join.

>>62940795
Even if they were shot out the government is still gay and retarded for not letting Canadians buy them up. We paid for them with our tax dollars and they're just gifting them to bums.

I'm still inclined to think it was just a scheme to get more SIGshit into peoples' hands, globalized NATO force requires uniformity. Haven't you noticed every NATO force steadily adopting AR-platforms over anything else?

Each country did what made sense for them, but now it's being forced upon them to adopt a singular weapon platform. That isn't coincidental and it's the first time in human history it's happened. ARs are great rifles, but this is about global militaries recruiting from standardized forces across the world.

We will see WW3 in our lifetime.

Yes, but Rob Ford was an absolute madman and for something to be a scandal it needs to be unexpected.

(Also the Ford family, like the Trudeaus, are basically modern day nobility and are untouchable anyways but that's less funny)

Ford family has high-level protection from criminal enterprises (or so I've heard in Minecraft), not unlike the Trudeaus (in Minecraft as well obviously).

Because they're doing it with borrowed money. When a company is almost 1 billion dollars in debt they are never coming back. They start borrowing money to keep the gravy train going until it derails. well it's bad at penetrating barriers, it just fragments easily. the type of combat they were facing was heavily fortified with manmade barriers that 556 just didn't punch through.

as far as the M14 being used, that was more a function of the US not having a proper DMR, guys in SF just used whatever they could cobble together from the existing armory stock.

>>
>>62942480
Standalone wooden stocks aren't very common. The reason there's ATI/tapco SKS's being sold is because their wooden stocks were in terrible shape. They pull the gun out of the stock, scrap the rotted wood, and slap it into a plastic one.

Not often that someone pulls the internals out of a perfectly good wooden stock just to sell them in separate parts.

You will just need to buy a proper wooden stock SKS, you can get decent Chinese ones for $500 and Russian ones for $620-650 sometimes.

As time goes on the Chinese ones are actually a better buy. Many are like-new or new/unissued, whereas all the Russian ones are easily 15-20 years older, likely service guns, have been shot a ton, and have way more wear/tear on them. I got my Chink one a few years ago and it was mint, rifling was immaculate and the chrome in the barrel was mirror shiny. Not a speck of rust either.

>>62943420
How so?
>>62943409
Yeah would be cool
>>
>>62943436
Covered under ITAR, so you need an export permit. CBSA don’t really care, but if you’re caught with it in the US you’re fucked
>>
>>62943441
Oh yeah I’ve had a few items I’ve said fuck it and got lucky and it went through. Fucking ITAR makes no sense man.
>>
>>62943441
are scopes even covered under itar?

kek, based Paul would rather murder a gun than sell it. think he gave this poor kid ptsd.
What does /cangen/ do with their guns when they jam too many times?
>>

I think pants if they’re considered “tactical” can be too. It’s retarded

buttermilk pancakes are pretty good
plus easier to carry pancake mix for going out since you just need water mix is some freeze dried berries or make a dehydrated spread and you got yourself very decent long lasting breakfast

Adding fruit can indeed improve pancakes immensely. And yeh would be better for innawoods because who would want to carry a loaf of bread in their pack.
Something i like aboot french toast at home though is saving leftovers. Pancakes tend to get all starchy and weird as soon as they touch a fridge.

is it a stupid idea to put a precise optic such as a PA 7.62x39 acog on an inaccurate gun like the type 81?

some people are insane and actively look to be attacked by bears I swear

and yea leftover pancakes are actual dogshit no argument there

Idk I’ve carried fresh food all the time and haven’t had an issue with bears, though fucking deer have came into my camp and woke me up. Assholes
>>
>>62944137
Yeh i fuckin triple wrap all the food in my bag, unless its in a thick foil type package.
>>62944158
Location plays a big role; how many bears are in the area, and are they accustomed to humans leaving garbage around etc.
>>
>>62944158
>>62944172
location is big
>and are they accustomed to humans leaving garbage around etc.
and this, people "feed" the bears too which just makes them think everyone will burst into treats once they get a whiff of anything and makes them generally fearless to approach you

>i fuckin triple wrap all the food in my bag,
for real
>>
>>62944172
North woods and not many mostly humans shoot them so makes sense. I also tie my food into a tree away from camp I know that doesn’t do shit but it keeps it away ish from where I am sleeping. That said I always keep my gun on me, but I’m not too worried about wildlife.

Mikhail Kalashnikov never said that and its a Chinese cope to make their pot metal rifle seem less like trash. Keep on coping though you're doing a great job at that.
>>
>>62944464
if it's pot metal rifle then what the hell do we make
how much would a canadian made sks cost

$1799.99+tax and the bolt shatters after 20 rounds.

>>

But is it really bait, if it's mostly or entirely true? The source may be questionable, but the t81 has last bolt round open, and safety superior.
>>
>>62944597
The T81 safety sucks, it's the worst part of the gun

It always was, but he's now doing a "collab" with you know who, and is apparently paying her discord to spam nvg and his store in particular here. Furthermore, there's been several credible reports of him reselling returned merch, being hard to do a return to, and just in general Cangen coming around to the fact that $4000 for Chinese-made NV that's the equivalent of aliexpress crap is insane.

yes. mounting optics on the 81 is a hassle with all the shit mounting systems out there. proceed if you dont mind throwing some money down the drain. if you do get it to work congrats but i would first see if your specific 81 is good with irons or not. if its one of the "less accurate" ones than dont waste money on optics.
