What would be the best subsonic caliber to use to take these fuckers out quietly within 100-300 yards?I was debating on using 300 blackout but l don't really see it being all that effective past 150 yards.8.6 Blackout looks really nasty but lm still dissapointed that nobody makes a cheap bolt action for it besides the Fix.Any recommendations?
>>64494473you should call the army, it's clear that you cannot solve the hog problem, somehow.
it's too late for small arms
>>64494473What’s the issue here? Range or terminal ballistics? If you can make your shots with a heavy subsonic loading, I’d go for something like 45-70. Rossi makes a cheap one with a threaded muzzle if memory serves.
300blk subs are out, even at point blank range. I built an 8.6, but think your range should be under 100 yards. How about 45/70? I looked at a stainless marlin with threaded barrel a couple days ago. Run suppressed, it should still flatten big hogs in a hurry.
>>64494473Imagine an FPV drone just flying into the middle of that hog pack
>>64494473>subsonic>300 ydit's indirect fire at that point. you'll be larping as an artilleryman

>>64495572>>64494679BS.300 blk subs are just fine for up to 300. get some phantom defense 238-242 grains and go to town. You're going to be using a night time optic anyway so get one with a ballistic calculator and laser range finder for longer shots.if you're actually worried about shot placement or giga hogs, you can step up to subsonic .350/400 legend, .338 arc, 450 bush, 458 socom or 45-70. There's a guy on youtube named coyote down who uses subsonic.300 and 458 on deer and has taken deer up to 4-500 yds
