Washout rangers.

It's just good solid light infantry. The vanilla flavor of war. No matter what people say before a war, afterward, they always admit we needed more well trained ordinary infantry.

Two good brigades. One of them isn’t even at Drum.

The Division they send Virgins to pop their cherries among the water buffalos and Rangers to die. If you want to know what it doesn't take to make it through Delta selection, find someone at the PX with a 75th Deployment scroll.

I knew 5 or 6 11 bravos who were finishing out their 18X contracts after opting out of training recycle. "What's that? I might have to wait 2 months to get Airborne School? I'll renegotiate my contract for basic infantry."

"IT'S -40 DEGREES WITH THE WIND CHILL. HAVE A GOOD PT SESSION."

I greatly regret not putting Drum on my ASK as a clueless private. Everyone I've met who was stationed there was extremely solid, actually got to deploy, and didn't have a huge superiority complex like airborne fags do.
