Probably inadvertently. Corrupt Chinese military personnel are probably selling off their equipment which then finds its way through weapons markets into Ukraine. Then again if the theory that they want to take back their old Chinese lands (and other far eastern territories) from Russia is true then they have reason to draw out the conflict as long as possible to make Russia collapse so they can seize that land.
