I have a obsession with non-military militia and ragtag units, so I look up a lot of their videos of combat and all I see are sks's mosins AK-47s and a host of AR variants but I have not seen any usages of m1 carbines I've even seen MP40 used in combat in Ukraine but yet the sturdy little carbine rifle seems to have absolutely no usages outside a few Christian militias in the Philippines I'm just wondering if anyone else has any more information regarding its use in modern combat or guerilla operations in the modern context thank you
yeah
gee i wonder why a rifle that the US army stopped making 80 years ago isn't commonly seen in modern-day warfare
>>64572921I understand that, but there were several million of them made and Mosin are not being produced they still make ammo for them in the Philippines and there are various militias that use them https://youtu.be/ah7a72rLN4Q?si I was just hoping there was a bit more information on other usages on other continents, they're still using world war II sub machine guns in Ukraine so you would think somewhere out there there'd be heavily used somewhere
>>64572932Who makes .30 carbine in enough quantity that a militia in buttfuck nowhere can use it for warfare? Rebels and militias use whatever the national stockpile happens to be.
>>64572932those countries were us alignedwhy would we hand m1 carbines directly to communists?
>>64572958Considering that the Chinese had a love of them capture quite a lot during the Korean war, and during the Vietnam war I'm sure there was huge stockpiles of carbines and ammunition that went somewhere. I am just a little surprised of the lack of usage you would think there would be tons of them considering they were given to the Mexican military as well in South America. I know that's some African countries receive shipments of them but I just am confused by the lack of usage in the modern context. I was just hoping someone with more knowledge would have some pictures or video
>>64572899>Why militias no use M1 carbinesThey are boomer or hipster gun. You are going to need to build a time machine to go back into the 1960's or 70's if you want to see them in the service of terrorists/freedom fighters.>>64572958why would we hand m1 carbines directly to communists?Lend-lease program and FDR being a communist sympathizer. That's why.
>>64572969>the Chinese had a love of them capture quite a lot during the Korean war, and during the Vietnam war I'm sure there was huge stockpiles of carbines and ammunition that went somewhereand you expect china to give them to ukraine?its like your timeline is completely fucked up or non existent
>>64573046You know Ukraine is not the only conflict in the world right. And I'm sure the Chinese would have sent them to some group in southern Asia
