Hi /k,I have this torque screwdriver type wrench at home, but sometime it is a bit difficult to operate at high torque setting. If I want a ratchet type wrench, 1/4 socket, is there a good alternative? And anyway, what's a good range for gunsmithing? Thanks.
>>64575570>is there a good alternative?Absolutely, just search for "1/4 drive torque wrench". You posted a torque *driver*.>And anyway, what's a good range for gunsmithing? For what? Mounting optics uses a very different range than, say, mounting muzzle devices or barrel nuts.
>>64575580>For what?yeah fair point. now that you mention it, mostly would be optics and accessories, so for now let's see that torque range. I guess from as low possible to 40 in-lbs?>>64575580>just search for "1/4 drive torque wrench"any good brand or the general purposes are the same? I'd say the latter, just look for good quality? What about the digital ones?
>>64575570I have to wonder if you couldn't just make a "ratchet wrench handle" DIY attachment for the driver handle. Hell, maybe just throw a rubber strap wrench on the handle when need be and use your left hand to keep the shaft/grip of the driver stable. Curious what you mean by "high torque setting"; I've never needed much over 30 in lbs but I mostly use my Wheeler FAT Wrench for scope mounting and 22s with aluminum receivers.
