Hi /k,
I have this torque screwdriver type wrench at home, but sometime it is a bit difficult to operate at high torque setting.
If I want a ratchet type wrench, 1/4 socket, is there a good alternative?
And anyway, what's a good range for gunsmithing? Thanks.

Absolutely, just search for "1/4 drive torque wrench". You posted a torque *driver*.

>And anyway, what's a good range for gunsmithing?
For what? Mounting optics uses a very different range than, say, mounting muzzle devices or barrel nuts.

yeah fair point. now that you mention it, mostly would be optics and accessories, so for now let's see that torque range. I guess from as low possible to 40 in-lbs?

any good brand or the general purposes are the same? I'd say the latter, just look for good quality? What about the digital ones?

I have to wonder if you couldn't just make a "ratchet wrench handle" DIY attachment for the driver handle. Hell, maybe just throw a rubber strap wrench on the handle when need be and use your left hand to keep the shaft/grip of the driver stable. Curious what you mean by "high torque setting"; I've never needed much over 30 in lbs but I mostly use my Wheeler FAT Wrench for scope mounting and 22s with aluminum receivers.
