Yeah. Be really careful about the career paths that are available to you. I've seen many talented dudes get sidetracked into dead ends they can't get out of (Like being the FEA person for an entire floor), just because they didn't have people skills and/or were too autistic.

Find the person you want to be in 5,10 years, and look at what they did to get there. Don't bother with 15+ years, things will have changed too much. Keep learning all the time, every new tool in your toolbox is a bargaining chip for switching positions.

Or maybe you love running FEA on parts you barely understand, because you can spend a week setting up meshes and constraints, and then do nothing for hours at a time while your shit converges.
