What if instead of a silencer i used a loudener to deafen enemies? Also what if i used a flashing strobe light that burns retinas to blind enemies?
>>
>loudener
muzzle brakes already do that
>>
>>64585068
For the ears of the shooter and especially others at the firing range to the shooter's sides, it does, by directing gases sideways, more towards them.
But to a listener downrange, the loudest muzzle devices are those that direct the gases forward as much as possible, so probably a conical interior.

That's essentially what every under-barrel light is intended for.

>No improvement was noted, however, unit H provided some interesting data. Apparently the open section at the
entry to the convergent section provided an air supply to support additional combustion because the unit created an exceptionally large flash on every round - an indication of what not to do.

It would be very painful.

yes.

Instead of all of that effort for a device you can miss with, often,
Why not just take your idea all of the way to its end.

Make a tight beam projector housing and lens, fit 8 Cree 30w LEDs in it, and blast your target faggot with instant 20,000 lumen @ 400,000 lux eye damage from 400+ meters?
Make an array of 100w single frequency tuned 400hz speakers and a focuser, deafen them permanently in the useful hearing range with 120+db blasts
Grab yourself a high collimation 20 watt output laser, make a focusing lens, literal instant blindness out to a mile or more.

Come on OP commit some serious geneva convention crimes, and law felonies.

It’s called a linear compensator
>>64584912
They already make loudeners, they’re called linear compensators and you can get them for as low as $15. I suggest only getting ones that are aluminum.

werent "loudeners" only ever used in vietnam by special forces to make it sound like there was more guys firing in the scenario they had to?
sorta an "oh shit they have more firepower than we thought" situation, in tandem with shorter barrels to make the gas less muted?

or am i misremembering
>>
>>64589181
I think you might be misremembering the reason for the XM177's "moderator" which had tons of reasons why it supposedly existed. To protect your hearing because of the barrel length, to make it sound more like an AK, to make it sound more like an M16A1, something to do with gassing/reliability (?), the list goes on and on.

Also, boards with more or less what were fancy cherry bombs and firecrackers and fuses existed to allow someone to plant the device, light it, GTFO, and cause confusion when it went off as the varied timing of all the different devices going off made it sound like a firefight happening in a different area than where US forces actually were as a distraction. Fuck if I know where I saved that pic.

Pulled said -60 on a Nig and he pissed.
Then I perma-blinded him. Kicked him in the balls. Good luck picking me out a line up Rastus.

Just do what the artiti did, load up on a shitload of grenades and throw them left and right while assaulting trenches to cause chaos while you go around stabbing enemy soldiers.

what if we took all those ideas and put them into a handheld device that we could throw into a room before even going into it

>14'' 308 thumper-dazzler-deafener

Mirror surface reflector, regulated to concentrate flash 50m forward for the largest ghost image in low light conditions (significant enough to be a problem if indoors in daylight). Destructive interference muzzle device, with dissonantly tuned tines/exposed 'baffles' to the same area (e.g. Aztec death whistles), preferably LOW audible frequency/-ies. Rear facing 'whistle' ports tuned to 'notes' which attenuate the operator's real or perceived decibels against that of the forward cone's.
>>
>>64600532
"Aztec death whistles" don't really exist.

There are Aztec whistles, some of them are skull shaped, but there;s no primary source evidence or claims made by academics that originated the idea of them making screaming noises or being used for intimidation in battle

Those are both wild claims coming from viral online shit. There's one paper investigating those claims that establishes some might have some auditory similarties to human vocalizations, but it's inconclusive as far as I can tell, doesn't specify screaming, and is more similar to other intruments then human vocalizations
