What does more damage, a dozen drones or thousands of large caliber rounds haphazardly being shot into a 250k sized city?
>>65051418A dozen drones can cause millions of dollars in damage to military systems and/or infrastructure. Bombarding a Russian city with AAA stimulates the domestic economy by creating thousands of new jobs in construction and potential for urban renewal and real estate development.

>>65051433>For it to be Keynesian economicsyou have to have an economy. Russia is broke. The toilet has no door and is blocked, the cars left are rusting piles of scrap and the kid beding the counter needs help trying his shoes laces and was taken out of school at 7 because he kept drooling. The things that his me most is Russia population decline, in 2022 was 145-146 million. The guesstimate now is 142 to 144 and no one really knows because Putin suspended taking a census. Russia is evaporating away. IT's giant socirt stockpile is gone, itr's national wealth fund is gone 1.3 million men are gone or amputees and another million of it's youngest and most able have vanished overseas. For what? a 100KM strip of bombed out land on the coast of the sea of Azov and to do what? Spite the Ukranians and stop them from having ikea? >>65051630Kek, how would you even tell the difference from the ground?
I would very much like to see the repair reports for how hard it is to fix damage from stray rounds like 14.5mm AP-I on things like refineries, i have often though about what something like half a ton of incendiary lazydogs hitting a refinery, airport or oil terminal via ballistic missile would do. Against a large target intercepting them would not do much since there is no warhead to detonate and it was going to airburst miles above the target anyway.Might not even need missiles, a Baba Yaga could carry a hundred or so and carry them high enough so they would drop at terminal velocity. 14.5mm AP-I lazydogs would go through at least 25-30mm of steel (.50 could do 20mm) so just start pissing them onto storage tanks.
>>65052411>the air defence cuckold will be forced to watch his refineries be subjected to golden shower treatment
>>65052451The place would be pissing itself for years with a solid attack; it would be almost impossible to find all the holes (especially in back up systems) and in a shitty refinery the fault detection might not register a few pin pricks. So just imagine a refinery covered in hundreds of piss puddles but flamable piss. Or if it's Natural Gas it's constantly farding itself near a lighter.
>>65051418I'm out of the loop, what is this? Is that air defense shooting at drones or something?

The apartment buildings catch incoming ordinance and the schools and such inside are protected. Same deal with blast waves too.

I can't speak to the intentions of whoever it was that said it but although I broadly align with the transhumanists and anarcho-techno-fetishists, it doesn't make me a blind follower of any of them and nobody else I know is either. Now if you said "billionaires will own nothing" then you'd be advocating something closer to my views. You're just simping for power, do you hope that they'll give you some wealth or power if you glaze them enough?I suppose that these are at least deities that could potentially answer a prayer so your position isn't entirely irrational.
>>65061513>I think maybe some futurist like Cory Doctorow said something like that once?NTA but that quote comes directly from German economist and former Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab
>>65061361DOGE got pushback because they cut erratically and they were redundant. We have auditors and decision makers for cutting funds already. Trump is just a retard in his faggot era with Musk, trying to make headlines. They cut several homeland security programs that actually had to be refunded.
>>65061513>Nobody I know has ever said thatwhich, as >>65061522 pointed out, just goes to show how little you know
>>65061361>you've seen how it's impossible for anyone to advocate small government in this day and age, the amount of pushback that DOGE etc receivedThe pushback against DOGE is from people not trusting Musk to be honest about the job and how he handled it. In the end he didn't save shit thanks to tax cuts for the rich, cut the parts that regulate his own companies and a bunch of 19 year olds ran off with your SSN.Literally everyone wants an "efficient" government, but people just can't agree on what is efficient because they can't even agree on what are the goals of a government.>>65061513>I think maybe some futurist like Cory Doctorow said something like that once?Doctorow is the guy who invented the term enshittification, he's been raging against that type of economy for years. You really got that example tremendously wrong, from what you wrote you'll probably quite like the guys writing.
>>65061573this is too nuanced a take for me to get truly buttmad about
>>65060546>Every one of those was resisted, lobbied, sued overWhich is good and correct, because there should be pushback on government initiatives. By definition. Doesn't matter if you view a specific initiative as "good".
>>65061361You don't even need to knock out $1 trillion per year. Even if you knock it down by $100-300 billion per year consistently it will go down over time both in absolute values and relative values (as the GDP grows the % drops).
>>65061573The issue is how people hijack terms and then discredit them. All of the retarded and damaging bullshit DOGE did was done under the PR umbrella of "small government" and "government efficiency", thus when they've obviously and expectedly fucked up they took the terms with them. It's similar to how in russia "democracy", "liberals/liberalism" (which in Europe means way different things than in the US btw) and "reforms" are borderline curse words because all of the fuckness of the 90's, which as by and large a results of decades of soviet rot finally exposed for everyone to see, got blamed on democracy, reforms and liberals.
>>65061616I think some drastic pruning is in order. it could also be as simple as 10% off every govt spending category. but 1 trillion is a nice round number for the sake of illustration>GDP growthin a *controlled* landing, slashing 1 trillion of govt spending is at least going to cause 1.4 trillion of GDP shrink, that is if the shock of the US flipping to austerity for the first time in decades isn't further exaggeratedbut it's a much-needed correction, IMHOand look, before anyone accuses me of defending billionaires *again*, the main losers should be stock market speculators
>>65060522>GUBMINT BAD!!!>Lists things like product labels, financial statements and as proof of free market working when they're proof of regulations attempting to fix market failures and which companies would immediately abandon if no longer enforced get a load of this guy lel
>>65053528there was a line where we should have stopped and we crossed it a long time ago, so lets keep going and see what happens
>>65060522>turn the packaging around and read exactly what it provides you in terms of calories and vitamins, or Ghz, or mileage, or sqm of shelterbecause of government intervention mandating that such information be included>read the price tag telling you exactly how many units your $ is buyingbecause of consumer protection laws requiring fair and easily understandable pricing strategies>look up the company and read about how much revenue they got and how they spent itBecause of government legislation mandating transparency>read the financial statement and calculate for yourself if they really are that good, or just blowing smoke up your arsesee above>decide to buy a competing or alternative product on the same shelf, and switch over within a matter of days or secondsbecause of antitrust laws made and enforced against burgeoning monopolies by governmentYou really aren't selling neoliberalism well with arguments like these
>>65061361just kill old people
>>65061689>>65061671yes, and then you decided to bin all that in favour of a system which has none of thatbut it suits you because then the free market can't hurt your dole
>>65061701no one has actually stated or argued for this you retarded manchild
>>65061638>going to cause 1.4 trillion of GDP shrinkYes and no. You do realize that there will be in fact also positive change with that money not being spent on shit? Including but not limited to the fact that some of those budget financed bozos actually having to go into the labor market and get a job which creates wealth instead of destroying it? Here's you surplus of work force right there. >the shock of the US flipping to austerity for the first time in decades isn't further exaggeratedHence why in a sane situation (oh boy do we wish lol) you'd ease into that, i.e. spend 4 years of decreasing the deficit year after year, e.g. $1.8T -> $1.3T -> $0.8T -> $0T. And then switch to a surplus budget, e.g. $100B -> $150B -> $200B -> $250B and keep it around that for at least a decade (ideally two).
this nigga think fake money is worth anything compared to men with guns
