With only Emerald and Crystal coming close to it.I like what they tried to do with X/Y. But I think they ultimately failed due to a combination of hardware limitations, little narrative ambition and a general lack of development time.X/Y actually has some of my favorite pokemon in the series and the customization (as limited and painfully overdue as it was) was very welcome.
