>can only read 1 or 2 chapters at a time, then need to take a break or read another bookIs it over for me?
Why read another book? Why not just take a break, get a snack or a glass of water or tea and read another 1 or 2 chapters of the same book?
Nah. Honestly finshing one book just leads you to have to find yet another book to read. Finishing a book now just makes me upset that I have to wade through crap again
>>25293536If you read regularly and this still happens it's because you don't actually enjoy what you're reading. Proust at some point only read memoirs and discarded the rest because that's what he truly enjoyed. Just gotta find your niche or find a way to power through (by changing scenes, habits, and all that). Also switching between different books during the day is not bad by itself, just have a small number of them in rotation only.
Does anyone remember how long the chapters in the Harry Potter books were? Like, really long sometimes, esp in the later books.
I can only read a few chapters at a time, then I have to pace around, contemplating what I just read
Some people don't even read books
I always try to pace my reading to mostly a chapter a day, no matter which book I’m currently reading. I finished Moby Dick with the same pace and it paid off massively. There’s no shame in taking it slow, especially regarding denser texts. The important thing is consistency.
>>25293536I can only do a few PAGES at a time because I'm so overstimulated, you're fine
>>25293536You are simply reading boring shit. Read something engaging.
