Oh I know about the original romanizations since the first SEED. But when the series got an official English release they adapted some names. Some are minor like the surnames Jule to Joule or Amarfi to Amalfi, but things like Andorew and Raww Le Klueze got better spellings in US. For the movie, we learned that Bandai wanted to revert any name spelling that previously appeared in the OPs of the series.
And that decision probably means that if Stella appeared in the movie she would be called Stellar.

To be fair, spelling often doesn't mean shit because Fukuda doesn't bother/care. In the Seed Remaster Cagalli's name is still spelled wrong on the Skygrasper scoreboard, even though he had 9+ years to fix it.
>>
I decided to pass. Beyond the price if I actually interacted with any of you in real life I'd just have gotten into multiple fistfights and spend the night in jail.
>>
>>22558693
Several episodes earlier Cagalli told him it wasn't too late to try talking with his father again. Athrun was trying one last time to convince his father to change his ways but was too late. So that's why he went into Jachin due instead of just destroying it.

>>
>>22557710
>What's your point? Are you saying sending equipment between Earth and space is hard? No anon. Sending equipment between Earth and space is absolutely trivial by the time of Seed Freedom. They do it on a daily basis.
No, the point is that, if it can't dock with Rising, the Proud Defender is just a waste of valuable hangar space that could go for another pilot with an extra GOUF or GELGOOG. Just leave it at the base on PLANT and do your development there, not while you're on combat orbital patrol. That would've been an interesting prologue: Millennium was only doing tests/combat exercises in Earth's orbit when they receive the urgent call to intervene in Africa
If they really need to carry the damn thing around, then put it on the Archangel, which is being used for COMPASS' rear detachment.

We don't even have a number for the Millenium's complement (CE never has exact numbers in many regards). Perhaps it can only carry those seven: Freedom, Justice, GYAN and four GELGOOGs. Besides, the ship is filled with a bunch of sophisticated weapons and has fully transatmospheric capabilities, while Archangel and Minerva required external boosters.

Chiming in to mention Freedom incident as I’ve seen the movie too. It’s seen when Shinn and Luna are in the rec room before Hilda enters and embraces Luna. One of the Dom boys (Herbert I think) mentions that there’s rumors Foundation is haunted and that someone saw a “kelpie”. Shinn asks what that is and he’s told it’s a monster, he looks to the side and gets lost in thought for a second. It then cuts to a shot of one of the Black Knight suits (it was pink iirc so it was Liu) charging at the camera before it slashes the SF straight down the middle. The background makes it look like it’s in some sort of desert region. The whole scene lasts a few seconds at most. I thought it was meant to be a training exercise at first and the Knights were fighting against some copy but then I remembered they mentioned the hijack a few scenes prior. That’s all that is mentioned of it in the movie, that and Lacus and Cagalli’s brief mention of the incident in their convo after the opening fight

Dunno why anon seems to be denying it. When leaks started to come out from Japan when the movie hit theatres, nearly all of them mentioned something about a freedom hijacking and a flashback to it happening. Fukuda himself even directly commented on it, outside the context of the novel.

The discussion started when one anon (probably you) started quoting the novel as a source in debates. Other people said the novel wasn't canon. You replied by replying the novel follows the events of the movie exactly and should be accepted in debates. Other people said it doesn't matter as gundam novels were never canon regardless of what happens in them.

As I've said before, the Schizo is most likely an autistic agnostic. Any claim he cannot personally verify cannot be considered true or false. Nobody is "changing" any filename.
The 4chanX browser extension allows you to directly copy and paste images from your clipboard, which is useful when you, say, want to share a highlighted passage from an open PDF. Was it in this specific debate? Did anyone mention anything about the novel in this specific argument? No, you brought it unprompted because you are a mentally ill individual that is holding a weeks-old grudge for no reason.
The idea of 4chan is that threads come and go, without a central memory of what came before or even who is posting what. Those worthless archive pages ruined a lot of the ephemeral thing, but the logic is still there.

>>22559113

When? Where in this specific debate did that happen? In fact, it was quite the opposite, with a number of posts saying outright that nobody is saying anything about the novel here except for one person that keeps going back at with his "canon" obsession.

Twitter posts of Japanese people who watched the movie as soon as it premiered, before the novel was released, who pointed out the Freedom hijack incident.

The point is that, without usernames, there is no certain way of knowing that. Not even the IP counter is working now.
And that logic only works in "general" threads in a slow-moving forum like this one, where the pool of users is small. Go to, say, /r9k/, and tell me it's just less than a score of "regulars" talking to each other.

Unless you want to go through the 'dead internet' rabbit hole. Which, considering the endless Twitter posts without comment or context we see in these threads, could very well be the case.

The biggest question people should be asking is if it's Meyrin or Cagalli piloting the Z'Gok when they invade the Foundation fortress to save Lacus since Athrun is in the Strike Freedom fighting Shura. Meyrin is physically in the Cavalier which is docked onto the Z'Gok, but they also had the Rouge with something similar on it around the same time.
So my vote goes to Cagalli but some people in the theater thought it was Meyrin piloting the Z'Gok.
>>
>>22559142

AA's top capacity it ever held was probably in the Berlin-Angel Down arc of Destiny where it held 12 MS. Freedom, Strike Rouge and 10 Murasame's (Andy's and the 9 that bailed on the Orb fleet). And there's at least one shot that shows they're all basically crammed in there.

The surprise can be explained by Kira not expecting to see SF at that specific moment. It's not a big deal. Kira was depressed, and Athrun had to beat Kira up earlier to motivate him. The databook's aren't in conflict since Kira knew exactly how to use Strike Freedom and all its upgrades with zero on-screen practice - including the head beam disruptor, funnel beam barriers, and all the Proud Defender weapons.

Archangel saved 15 Murasame (14 Murasame if you don't not counting Andy's custom yellow one).

3 Murasame fly ahead as the vanguard during the Orb battle. Then behind those 3, Akatsuki was surrounded by a group of another 12 Murasames.

That means Archangel held:

Freedom + Strike Rouge + Andy's Murasame + 14 Murasames + 1 Skygrasper unit (possibly 1 more).

So 18 combat units in total inside Archangel.

So what with Athrun Cagalli novel being called as Doujinshi and same with latest scene in the 2nd novel too, they have no intimate moment not even hug just Athrun holds Cagalli hand while running from her bodyguard and mostly just them talking casually more like friends than lovers what with the fuss. I think without Athrun delusional scene It will really feel there is nothing going on with them.

I don't understand why Orb and Compass developed the Proud Defender weapon back in the first place. Compass was getting supplied with the latest weapons and gear from other nations. As far as anyone in Compass knew, they had the latest technology.

So what was the point of Orb making the Proud Defender weapon pack? Seems like pointless escalation. There were no enemies to use it against.

The Proud Defender Pack was an upgrade for the Rising Freedom since that shit runs on a battery and is powered by presumably any even stronger fusion engine since it fully replenished and cooled down the Strike Freedom's overloaded engine. It's a last resort to end all fights if he got the clearance for it.

Though we never get to see it in action due to the Rising Freedom being destroyed and it gets manually tuned and adjusted by Not-Lelouch for the Strike Freedom Type II with Lacus as the pilot and he's the one retrofitting it to the Strike Freedom's back.

Most Japanese are incapable of portraying shades of Grey in anime. Every villain has to be a bloodthirsty, demented, or psychopathic animal. While the good guys have almost no flaws.

>it also doesn't properly protect the legs, allowing a beam rifle shot to puncture a PS-protected limb
What the fuck were they thinking with this, ultimately all the Assault Shroud ends up doing is giving it a bit more firepower, the armor did almost nothing since EA forces except the Archangel don't have beam weaponry that could penetrate the PS armor anyway, and the extra thrusters only cancelled out the additional weight. The MS got shafted really fucking hard, on top of being piloted by Yzak it jobbed hard in almost all of its engagements. I feel sorry for it.

SEED is horrible, at least Destiny onwards. S1 was sorta ok, underutilized the supporting cast, plodded into the finale & didn't develop its final villain. Destiny onwards it sunk down to the level of Twilight. Code Geass could be said to have done everything SEED did but better. That's why Code Geass is the defining mecha of the 00s rather than SEED.

Yeah that sounds right

With whatever bullshit people throw I don't think Cagalli old VA quit because anything to do with the story, her character could voice just one line every episode and she would get paid the same with when her character gets many screentime and line, maybe just behind the scene production maybe she's not in good relationship with staff and especially Fukuda.
>>
>>22559664
His character evolved outside of the series itself, kinda like the prequel movies of Star Wars, which were reviled back when released but got more positive opinions later on. I recall Suzumura even said back when SRW Z released that he finally understood what his character was supposed to be about, and after that he had more of a positive relationship with Shinn.
>>
>>22559975
Well her character went from bad ass warrior girl to whiny helpless girl. Plus the supposed harassment behind the scenes. She probably decided it wasn't worth it anymore.
>>
>>22560015
>Well her character went from bad ass warrior girl to whiny helpless girl
Actually a make sense considered she was still not used to being a leader what do you expect she became instant bad ass even in her badass moments in Seed she caused many problems and again seiyuu in most case except the characters suddenly gets killed won't give a shit because she will still get paid no matter what they did to the character, so behind the scene problem is more the reason than bullshit about story or characters
>>
>>22560032
What are you talking about? Anime voice actors get deeply attached to their characters. The VA's care what happens to them in the story. It's even more hardcore for Japanese voice actors. They become the character, and fans despise recasting. It never usually happens unless the VA dies.

I don't know whether to be impressed or disappointed with Orb technology.

Their mobile suits seem to be lightweight trash. M1 Astrays can't be even match a a first generation EA Dagger.

But then they make technology like the mirror coating on the Akatsuki.

>>
>>22560099
Lacus and Cagalli are too popular and Stellar has that mysterious damaged girl thing going for her that Japs love so poor Luna gets the short end of the stick. She beat Murrue though in that poll so 4th place isn’t a terrible spot I guess

>>
>>22560080
>>22560084
I wonder if the writers decided to purposely lean into Shinn's 'regular everyman' image relative to the other leads.
>>
>>22560099
>Why doesn't Lunamaria have more fans?
1. They changed her character model from Destiny and made her less curvy. Her skirt is also not as short anymore.

2. They changed her attitude from Destiny. She used to have a bubbly and fun personality. She knew how to have a good time and go out and party. Now in the movie she's always serious. She doesn't have the fun bubbly personality anymore.

3. They got rid of the Hawke sister dynamic. One of the best parts of Destiny was watching the contrast between Lunamaria and her younger sister Meyrin. Luna was the athletic and outgoing girl who wasn't afraid to wear a short skirt. Even blatantly flirting with Athrun in front of everyone. She wasn't some whore like Agnes, but wasn't afraid to be a little flirty with someone she was interested in.

Meyrin was the less athletic young communications officer who was more meek. She was still slim though. Watching Meyrin secretly try on her sisters clothes, and be annoyed and jealous that she couldn't fit Lunamaria's skirt was funny. But Meyrin was also very loyal. She had a ride or die personality and was willing to believe Athrun when no one else did. She put her life on the line to save Athrun.

Without Meyrin around, Lunamaria just seems kind of bland. Luna has no one to bounce her personality off of. No one to tease or have her sister Meyrin around to tease her.
>>
>>22560143
>made her less curvy
Going off the little bits of the movie that have leaked, I swear her butt looks bigger than before.

>>22560143

>>22560080
Shinn exemplifies problems with the Destiny Plan, just not for the reasons you think. Durandal correctly assesses that Shinn is capable of performing at monster levels, but Shinn doesn’t live up to his potential in the back half of Destiny because he’s having a mental breakdown.

Durandal creates the Destiny Plan based on what people can and should do. Rau and Lacus (correctly, in the context of this universe) point out that what people want/desire to do will always be more important. Late-Destiny Shinn lacks the willpower to perform at his potential, and tanks Durandal’s military push.
>>
>>22560186
There were a lot of dads in OG SEED, they just all died. (Patrick, Siegel, Uzumi, Rau.) Now everyone has two dead parents (Kira and Cagalli, Lacus, Athrun, Shinn) or no dead parents (Kira’s adoptive parents), except Yzak (living mom) and Dearka (living dad).

>>
>>22560143
It’s not like she’s lost her attitude, it’s just she’s having to take care of Shinn who is basically retarded anyway.
>>
>>22560160
Well that’s just flat out wrong considering Lacus’ tits bounce around like crazy when she launches in the Defender, even though she’s in a skin tight suit. The camera zooms in on her ass when she’s in the thing. You also get to see Murrue’s lewd legs when her stockings get torn up and Luna gets a shower scene that hones in on her legs. Plus there’s the whole naked kiss at the end.
>>
>>22559552
Because they are not yet at that point in the relationship. Some people are very horny with the scene he imagines, but all I see is that these two have come as far as realizing that they have the same idea of the future and that at some point they will be able to be together. I think they've only kissed at most.

Technically speaking, they had to modify the base Impulse so much to fit it with Destiny Silhouette that it isn't compatible with other Silhouette Packs (for instance, the forearm shields). Lore also says that since the frame was compromised so much (modifications for Destiny Impulse, core block system, etc.), it can't be recharged too many times per sortie since even a recharge puts additional stress on the frame. The whole reason that Destiny Gundam was built in the first place was because Destiny Impulse proved to have too many flaws.

>Thirteen. There were some behind Akatsuki,

Damn good catch. It also makes more sense how a smaller elite force of Murasame pilots were able to turn the tide of battle. Those pilots were the best and most experienced pilots that Orb had to offer.

But those that remained on the island were leftovers and raw recruits. That's why ZAFT was steamrolling them so easily.

>meaning that the Archangel's maximum complement is 19 units.

I'm just going to say 20 at this point. 10 in the main central hangar and 5 in each leg. And even then I don't think AA was at max capacity. I'm sure they could cram a few more units inside AA. It was built to be a carrier after all. So it wouldn't surprise me if it could go to 25 or maybe 30 units at emergency capacity. Maybe even strap a few more to the outer hull and ride on the outside.

Since Millennium is even bigger than Archangel, that means it can hold even more. Millennium is downright cavernous and empty by comparison.

The beam rifle shot only blasted the bridge, which is relatively unprotected. If Murrue escaped, she could've made it.
However, the ship is blanketed by missiles immediately afterwards. Her survival is yet another example of plot armor: a character that is too "important" to get killed.

Gundam Seed treats explosions like you're getting hit with a water hose. It just knocks you around and can slam you into the ground.

In reality, explosions would fry you to a crisp in an instant. Plus shrapnel from exploding metal would fly through the air like bullets and tear through flesh and kill you.

Well shit, I am still on the original series but when I heard about the movie I skipped forward to seed and watched the movies and just finished the third one, I was pretty upset with myself for being too damn ADHD to just sit down and finish the movies quickly because it meant I was going to have to ask here for a QRD of destiny but then I just realized the movie is out of cinemas here already and I missed my chance, I ruined it for myself by watching the recaps instead of the series for nothing, although I suppose that makes it a good thing I was too ADHD to watch the destiny movies in time.

When do you think will be my next chance to watch a gundam in cinema and more importantly what universe will it probably so so I can focus on that, the fucking kimetsu recap movie is still getting some showings here yet this original film was quickly out of cinemas how is that fair.

Yzak murdered a bunch of civilians and otherwise only really killed weak enemies until the end. The suit was too good for him.

>>22561563
No, I still hate the lips. Fukuda could have asked for some much better age-up designs for the characters, and Hirai is more than capable of delivering on that front. Look at how the 00 characters aged up between S1 and S2, and between S2 and the movie, that's how it's supposed to be done and that was almost 15 years ago now. Ah that's what I was missing. NTA but thanks for the clarification. It all makes sense to me now. The only thing we don't know is how much power is used by the disruptor. We know it's more than 100% the internal SF reactor can provide, but I wonder if the beam maxing out the second nuclear reactor in the backpack too? I suppose we'll never know since Fukuda doesn't like explaining tiny little details like that. He just wants us to pay attention to the pew pew lasers.

Because I can't think of a use case for it.
>>
>>22561732
>Did he think he was going to be fighting hundreds of destroy gubdams at the same time?
Hmmm...not sure the disruptor would work on Destroy Gundam. It may suck at close combat, but Destroy has the strongest beam shields in the entire anime. Destroy can block direct Taunhauser positron cannon blasts with no effort at all.

Are the Black Knights and Compass basically reusing the scrapped idea of ZAFT's "Concluders"? An elite team of ZAFT pilots under the direct command of Chairman Durundel. Each given a custom Destiny Gundam, and the team is sent to specific war zones to "conclude" the battle and make ZAFT win.

>>22561809
The Proud Defender has ITS OWN NUCLEAR REACTOR! The machine is meant to give the RF a nuclear reactor as reserve battery in exchange for its beam cannons, and will never be able to transform as a mobile armor with it equipped. All that backpack can give is the EMP and improved HiMAT, though if the Futsunomitama was shipped to the Proud Defender when the RF is still active, it can also use the anti-ship nodachi as well. But with the addition of the Strike Freedom Type-2, they also installed the Disruptor as a Proud Defender-unlocked hidden weapon for double safety reasons, and that thing wasn't even at full power when it was used in the movie. Imagine if it was used at full power, that could destroy more than just the fleet hacked up by that thing, it could hit friendly fire if they aren't careful.
>>

The main issues with Destiny Impulse were:

1. The MS Frame can't handle the stress of Destiny pack.

Impulse Gundam is known to already have structural issues and instability due to the core splendor system. The constant separation and reconnecting of body parts required constant maintenance, and made the overall frame weaker. When you add the high performance Destiny pack, the Impulse Gundam frame couldn't handle it.

2. Power consumption. Impulse Gundam's battery couldn't supply power for all the new technology in the Destiny pack. Operational time was unacceptably short.

----------------

These issues with the refined version of Destiny Impulse.

1. The frame issues were fixed by removing the core splendor system. No more core fighter that separates. The body and legs are permanently attached now, and the frame has been reinforced.

2. Removing the energy guzzling beam shields, and going back to a physical shield.

These changes helped bring Destiny Impulse performance and battery life to more acceptable levels.

>Power consumption. Impulse Gundam's battery couldn't supply power for all the new technology in the Destiny pack. Operational time was unacceptably short.
>Removing the energy guzzling beam shields, and going back to a physical shield.
This makes no sense. Rising Freedom has more high-consumption weapons than a Destiny Impulse R, and battery was not an issue there to include a beam shield, as well as a flying physical shield.
>>
>>22562421
1. It was built by Orb. They are the leaders when it came to making energy efficient suits and weapons.

2. It still had a physical shield that it used as its primary defense shield first. The beam shield was more of an emergency shield that Rising used when the physical shield was not available.

3. Battery power was still a moderate issue for Rising Freedom. In movie, every time it blocked an attack with the beam shield, energy levels dropped rapidly. Kira tried to use it sparingly.

In my opinion, Rising Freedom was pushing the absolute limits of battery power. RF was designed to defeat local insurgents and Blue Cosmos remnants. A rapid response suit designed to fly in, hammer the enemy into quick submission, then return home before the battery was drained. It was not designed for an extended battle.
>>
>>22562448
>It was built by Orb.
No. Just like the Millennium, GYAN and GELGOOG, it's a ZAFT-built unit. Rising and Immortal only incorporate Orb's transformable technology from the Murasame:
>これまでの「ZGMF-X20A ストライクフリーダムガンダム」の運用データを使用し、「MVF-M11Cムラサメ」でオーブが培った可変技術を取り入れて設計 された。さらに、武器類はプラントのメーカーが開発・製造を行うなど、国家・体制の枠を超えた最新技術が集結している。

If there was a treaty that prohibited nuclear-powered mobile suits, wouldn't both SF and IJ be scheduled for immediate decommission?
Also, why would any new government in PLANT ever agree to such a thing?

There is no material whatsoever in any databook or the like that supports the idea that there was any sort of agreement limiting "nuclear-powered mobile suits" by any party (which wasn't a thing before, since the Treaty of Junius prohibited the military use of NJC, only indirectly banning nuclear MS). There's no reason anyone would agree to such an arbitrary restriction after it failed the first time around to prevent a war.
You're concocting utter bullshit out of whole cloth to explain why Rising and Immortal are battery powered, when the simplest guess is that batteries are cheaper and more efficient for COMPASS. After all, SF also ran out of juice.

Hate Lacus as much as you want. Fucking hell, I hate her guts as well. But don't be lying, please.

NTA. Lots of Money. Someone has to pay for Compass members salary. No one works for free. Plus all the fuel Millennium uses.

>Millennium
I would guess since it has a big "02" painted on the side of the hull, that there is a "01" ship somewhere. Maybe the Atlantic Federation built it.

PLANT has half of the Earth sphere's GDP. With them and Orb, they don't need the Atlantic Federation's money.

>I would guess since it has a big "02" painted on the side of the hull, that there is a "01" ship somewhere. Maybe the Atlantic Federation built it.
That's the Archangel. Which, if you remember, was built by and is now operated by Orb.

Can you stop? We are having a nice discussion. But You always try to turn every Seed thread into an argument about pointless minutia. You haven't been correct in any one of your assessments.

-First you tried to claim that Strike Freedom was floating in space based on a few blurry pictures.

We told you to wait until the movie comes out, but you insulted us saying crap like "these are directly from the Japanese spoiler threads you idiots."

-Then you said Strike Freedom would get recharged by a Deuterion beam.

Again. You were wrong and insulted anyone who disagreed.

-Then you said Rising Freedom was meant to work with Proud Defender backpack. You claimed the novel is exactly the same as the movie.

We told you to relax and that the novel is not always correct. But you insulted everyone. What happened? Turns out you and the novel were wrong again. Every new databook says Proud Defender was meant to work with Strike Freedom. That Kira helped design the PD pack, and supervised the refit of Strike Freedom.

Just stop. Your batting average is 0% for being right. You are just ruining the thread your hostility and argumentative posts.
>>
>>22562717
>With them and Orb, they don't need the Atlantic Federation's money
Orb and ZAFT aren't infinitely rich. More money is ALWAYS welcome.

(Side note: Apparently Akatsuki is so expensive that the money used in its creation could have made a huge amount of Mobile suits and ships. Orb decided to not make anymore Akatsuki units due to financial strain, and even just maintaining the Yata armor on a single unit insanely expensive for Orb.)
>>

>First you tried to claim that Strike Freedom was floating in space based on a few blurry pictures.

That wasn't me, dipshit. Can you even wrap your mind around the fact that there are several people in this board? Or is that too tasking for your brain and you'd rather cling to the delusion it's the same person all the time?

>Every new databook says Proud Defender was meant to work with Strike Freedom. That Kira helped design the PD pack, and supervised the refit of Strike Freedom.
That doesn't negate the possibility that Proud Defender could be used with Rising. All we know for certain is that the forehead beam doesn't work unless Proud Defender is attached.
>>
>>22562722
>Orb and ZAFT aren't infinitely rich. More money is ALWAYS welcome.
PLANT is, at the very least, three to five times richer than the Atlantic Federation. Perhaps even more. It's like if the UK was splitting hairs about Slovenia's contribution to NATO.
>>
>>22562726

>That doesn't negate the possibility that Proud Defender could be used with Rising. All we know for certain is that the forehead beam doesn't work unless Proud Defender is attached.

True. It also doesn't negate the possibility Proud Defender could work with Strike Gundam or Impulse Gundam either...........oh wait I thought we talking total bull donkey nonsense??

Stick to the FACTS please. The databooks say the pack was meant to work with Strike Freedom Gundam. So that's what we go with.

That's not as farfetched as you are trying to make it sound. From the Impulse's MG manual...
>The [Silhouette's] development was aided by the cooperation of Coordinators who had emigrated to PLANT from Orb. The parts completed as a result were found to be usable with the "IWSP" Striker Pack used by Orb, as well as with the ORB-01 Akatsuki's unique "Oowashi" and "Shiranui" packs, which were manufactured according to the Striker System's data. Naturally, all genuine Striker Packs from the Earth Alliance can be used [on the Impulse], and the one-off AQM/E-X09S Noir Striker is no exception.

>The databooks say the pack was meant to work with Strike Freedom Gundam
No, the databooks say the pack is required to use the forehead beam. Nothing else.
>>
>>22562717
It's the principal of the matter. Everyone must pay their share. It's only fair. It's like the real life NATO Alliance. Every participating NATO country is supposed to contribute 2% of their GDP towards NATO costs. The USA and President Trump revealed that the USA was paying the majority of the cost of NATO and it wasn't fair to America. That every participating country must pay their fair share of 2%. Regardless of how you feel about President Trump or the USA, the Americans had a point. It's not fair they covered most of the costs. It only builds resentment when someone doesn't contribute in a group effort. Same idea with COMPASS. They all must contribute.
>>
>>22562735
>No, the databooks say the pack is required to use the forehead beam. Nothing else.
They say Kira helped design it and supervised the design of the pack and modifications to Strike Freedom. Or are you just going to ignore the latest stuff because you are wrong and don't like it? Don't be a baby.
>>

>>

This is going too deep on to the weeds. The original point was asking whether the Atlantic Federation was making any contribution to COMPASS, since they don't have any MS, or ships, or personnel. What are they giving and/or getting in the agreement?
Orb gets to act as the world's police via nepotism, ZAFT protects its interests on Earth from Blue Cosmos' rampages, while the Atlantic Federation gets and does... what exactly?

It gets to suppress and heavily weaken their political rival the Eurasian Federation. All without committing any of their own military forces. Compass will handle everything. It's a bargain cost.

I don't see how COIN operations against Blue Cosmos insurgents are, in any way "heavily weakening" Eurasia, even if the latter are giving them covert support.

It would've made more sense if the Atlantic Federation was the one that supported Foundation in its war for independence rather than PLANT, with the bonus of having Eurasia's capital blasted by Genesis.

The toy maker is saying it to give it more gimmicks to sell more toys. Has the same vibe as toy commercials when they give the action figure a weapon it never had in the movie.

>"Now Robocop has super rocket punch action to take out the bad guys!"

But quite frankly I think it's more interesting that it's not Dragoons. Dragoons don't need to be the Endgame tech for every Gundam show.

Not sure if mentioned already, but Akatsuki couldn't actually fully use the Zeus Silhouette at maximum potential. After firing a single shot, Akatsuki's battery was almost completely drained. The Akatsuki had to leave the battlefield due to battery almost empty. Only a suit like Destiny Gundam with a nuclear reactor can use it at maximum potential.
