Not sure why you're overthinking a one-off character despite it being well-explained

Everything after Taiga is great apart from Trigger. If you are prepared to spend 25 episodes on a plot that goes nowhere you can watch Blazar too. The show itself is pretty decent but the ending is severely disappointing despite the mystery and build up.

Biggest issue is how you establish a worldview where it makes sense for something like that to happen, what with having to explain how kaijus somehow remained unknown and the damages it's left is just being treated as a natural disaster

Easiest trope will be something like the Night Raider, where the defense team has been working overtime hiding everything

Frankly, they should try to give us that again, where the defense team is a morally grey organization and maybe antagonistic towards the MC. After five series in a row, a little shake up is welcomed

It seems really weird than the professor in this episode just kind of presented the fact that kaiju have special powers as justification for why he was smuggling samples, when as far as we know in this setting, there's nothing in particular he could do to make use of that. What was he gonna clone them? Feed them to a robot that can copy powers? Really weird to leave that all in the air as if the application would be obvious.
Also kinda fucked up that Rin thinks of that time she kept the guy away from his fiance when they were supposed to be planning their wedding, as some precious memory she holds dear.

But they are usually just fully gold. They decided to get creative with the Blazar Firdran form and make him half gold for some reason. But the colors aren't even split the way they were in the original form.
