>>23750035He is talking about the difference between jarheads and literall commanders like Char or Sirocco. A good foot soldier is still a foot soldier. I know you are trying to pull an extremely disingenious argument right now, but i will bite. Kampfer is not an ace unit, it is a half assed police tier robot designed for hit-and-run with 0 survivability. These kind of niche low tier mech is not that uncommon in Gundam, you got Cancer in Gundam Wing, Dennan Gei in F91, Guncannon in 1979 show and more.
>>23750051Looks like you'll have to mix other colors into the green
>>23750051Just add a few drops of blue
>>23750054>Kampfer is not an ace unit, it is a half assed police tier robot designed for hit-and-run with 0 survivability. Well, that is pretty misguided. It's an extremely high performance unit. Nothing about it is "cheap," it's very high spec. It's just meant to be easily disassembled and assembled. Its actual performance is very forward thinking, adopting a similar mentality to later MS design in minimizing armour for mobility. It's arguably the best MS Zeon made during the war, kneecapped only by being so high performance it can't keep up sustained engagements.
>>23750045Not that anon but you don't know the middle tier MS? It is not always the clear cut ace and grunt, sometimes they just make a limited run, low performanced robot like this guy.
I always thought the Kampfer was meant to be a guerrilla warfare type MS. In 0080 it was smuggled in parts to Side 6, apparently easy to assemble and lacked any real armor outside of maybe a coat of that anti-beam coating stuff they started slathering on shields at the end of the OYW
>>23750058>>23750060That's what I was afraid of, but I can't mix paints to save my fucking life. Each time I try, I end up with something completely different than what I wanted. Is there some kind of secret or rules to mixing paint that I'm just ignorant of?

>>23750035yeah 'special' pilots that had to be blackmailed to pilot that beercan with thrusters and some explosives
>>23750029Fresh batch of reprints?>just bought overpriced quadFUGWell, I'm glad to see more Crest kino in stock regardless.Gotta be honest though I'm glad this goofy ass machinegun nipple isn't a thing anymore.
>>23750061that's like claiming the gelgoog shouldn't count as a grunt because it's a high performance machine when it was introducedlook at it another way, would you consider gouf to be mass production grunt when there weren't that many built before it was replaced in favor of the dom? gouf still reached a stage where it was given a production model number, same as the kampfer
>>23750064It is. It's a special operation machine. It minimized armour and maximized speed and mobility. The real thing comes down to what you consider a grunt, and what the groupbuild terminology is concerned with it. It's undoubtedly a high spec, rare machine. We don't have numbers but it's pretty likely they made single digits with how few of them ever show up in anything. But ultimately it was a machine with some production run, not a complete one-off like the Zeong. That said, we've seen more RX-78-x then we have MS-18s.
>>23750066Oh that's perfect. Thanks anon, love you.
>>23750061>it's very high spec.It is not. Kampfer was designed to runnaway because it can't survive mild damage.
>>23750072Judging from the anime, i feel like Kampfer is worse than a Grunt because Zaku could last longer infront of Alex Gundam while Kampfer got shredded into scrap by the gatling.
>>23750070It's not really like the Gelgoog at all honestly. Of other major Zeon MS it's closer to the Gyan. An MS they thought about producing lots of but didn't and made basically none of them.
>>23750063One of these have fucked up scaling. Wish I could say for sure it's the old 1/100 but given how they fucked up miniaturized MS scaling for Victory who knows.
>>23750072>ZeongApparently now in a lot of extended lore there was 2.5 Zeongs made by the end of the OYW>Zeong that Char piloted>Zeong that was packed away with the retreating Zeon which ended up at Axis and was completed into a Perfect Zeong where they realized its short comings and used data gathered to improve on MS psycommu miniaturization >the frame of a unfinished Zeong capured by the Federation who continued building it to operational status and studied it and the psycommu system
>>23750075Plenty of high performance MS are fragile.
>>23750082Wtf the Zeong is a grunt suit!?
>>23750068I sure as hell would love to be blackmailed into piloting the Kampfer.
>>23750081Loto is bigger than it supposed to be, given that it is the HG, it should be much smaller than that.
>>23750082Plenty of stories like to do whatever, it's a little dumb given how we see it in MSG but 40 years of stories does this
>>23750063What a cute and dopey thing
You guys wouldn't have this problem if you took the IBO pill.
>>23750075Yea it is. It has light armor, but basically all Zeon MS do because they're made of bog standard steel or titanium. A Gelgoog or Zeong would go down the same way to the Alex's 90mm autocannons. The GM Command and Customs also use 90mm rifles. 90mm is firmly in the realm of anti-MS weaponry.
>>23750094I would rather neck myself.
>>23750081Hard to tell unless there was a measuring tool next to them to measure them both. If the Loto was 1/100 it should be 2cm taller than the R-44
>>23750096Despite having inferior armour material a few Zeon designs are specifically pretty well armoured. Gelgoogs and Doms notably. We see them losing to the gatlings in the simulation anyways though so it's a moot point they definitely aren't protected enough to defend against them how it happened in the show no matter what.
>>23750065>Is there some kind of secret or rules to mixing paint that I'm just ignorant of?Red + blue + yellow = black. You should nudge your color in desired direction by adding a little bit of simple primary color at a time instead of mixing multiple complex tones at once which can easily result in mud.Be mindful of whether your primaries are warm or cool.
>>23750102Doms aren't heavily armored, they weigh the same as a zaku but are larger, that just means bigger internal space for reactor and fuel
>see a mention of the Kampfer>like it but wonder why it's so fragile>see the discussion>too afraid to ask anymore
>>23750096Hell, it punches right through the Zaku FZ's cockpit. Straight through.
>>23750094I'd rather chop my thumbs off than own a single IBO kit.
>>23750104The Dom is specifically called out as having heavy armour protection in basically every source and is referred to as a "heavy" mobile suit
>>23750111it's called heavy because it carries heavy weapons>having heavy armour protectionfucking laughable since it still dies to short machine gun bursts
>>23750105It's lightly armored to achieve high speed. The thing's just a ton of thrusters.
>>23750096>A Gelgoog or Zeong would go down the same way to the Alex's 90mm autocannons. The arm gatling is a high bar to pass but Kampfer as whole is just so fragile, beside pulling stealth kills, that thing can't last a close ranged battle. No shield, no armor, limited amount of firepower for a long operation. It is still one of my favourite Izubuchi design, but killing some GMs is not that impressive in my opinion.
>>23750106Having the armor that's on par with a Zaku is insulting.
>>23750094I don't even see Japs making cool customs of IBO grunts anymore
>>23750067It will definitely getting RE100 if Bandai wants to keep grinding the late UC.
>>23750113>short machine gun burstsNot him, but don't forget that those "machine guns" are like 120mm auto cannons. Pic related shooting 20 rounds at you in 3 seconds. Nobody really appreciates how ridiculous everything in Gundam kind of is. The vulcans on the Gundam for example fire 60mm, again, that's another tank round and Gundam shoots dual ones from its fuggin head.
So can I submit my gunmetal painted Kampfer as my Ace build or will it trigger some of your guys autism too much. Mines the one from a few threads back
>>23750115Oh, I see, thank you.I guess it was just fucked over because it wasn't doing space combat, huh
>>23750113It's a heavy mobile suit because it weighs at 80 tons (90 originally) and once again it's specifically called out for having heavier armour. Just because it's not impervious doesn't mean it doesn't have it, and having lower quality armour materials doesn't change they put more on it.
>>23750130It lost because Misha lost. Its capabilities don't really play much into its demise, it got surprise gunned down after having gotten cocky thinking he'd won.
>>23750129You already built it? I mean, ace custom is literally just take a robot and make it slightly unique for some dumbass who is an "ace" so technically yes.
>>23750133>it got surprise gunned down after having gotten cocky thinking he'd won.More like out of ammo with nothing left but a beam saber. Kampfer kinda sucks imo.
>>23750129not sure i remember which one this isdoes it have anything custom at all apart from the paint
>>23750129Autist here that pointed out the Kampfer's rare, I don't really think it helps anything to overthink the groupbuild. I'm not in charge of it but I think it's better to err on letting more in than less but I think F91 should be eligible too
>>23750133>Its capabilities don't really play much into its demise, it got surprise gunned down The lack of defensive qualities like armor and shield definitely took a play in its demise. Kampfer is just an early Dennan Gei, simple as that.
>>23750133What a rookie mistake, I'd never do that in MY Kampfer
>>23750140It seems like formula project gundams are a lot less special than their predecessors.
>>23750147F91 proper is incredibly special but the MP F91 cuts out a lot of the advanced technologies
>>23750137Yea im adding on different weapons on the back instead of the boozakas and a spiked knuckle duster on one hand Front Mission style. Probably more but im just brainstorming as I go. It was just me practicing hand painting metallics but it seems to fit the criteria of the Ace groupbuild
This discussion could've been avoided if we just picked Silly theme

>>23750213that's like 10 deductions

>>23750201The head seems pretty big
>>23750210Initially I gathered various 30MM optional parts and started to mix them up but turned out that a lot were not really compatible so I kept replacing them with polystyrene elements, started adding some on my own and in the end it's more scratchbuild than 30MM custom - basically what's 30MM proper are torso (still had to drill inside to fit the neck since Bandai leave lots of Spinatio-type spares but not the old ones), part of the head, jumpjets on the back, hips base structure and legs. Arm joints and hands comes from Builders era optional kit. I actually had to restrain myself from scratchbuilding entire head and sword.
>>23750211>animeholy based? can't wait to sperg about it in the plamo general and call out anons who custom them wrong
>>23750205These samurai shoulders beg for some ace emblem decals

>>23750226I hope I will find some fitting one from my decals selection. Too bad most of the stuff from the hobby shops I checked are WWII orientated (and mostly German. Why it's always German?).>>23750222Previous attempts were even bigger. Spare heads Bandai provide in few optional 30MM kits have oddly placed connection points so I had to make it larger than planned and still start with wide structure made out of several polystyrene elements glued together and then cut since otherwise structure would break apart.>>23750219The initial idea was making him all about close combat, which sounds rather crazy, to be honest. But I will make sure to add some markings to stand out.>>23750220Could be from large jumpjets and head shape, even if head itself was inspired by Infinity tabletop game instead.

The head sculpt is also not the coolest it could be at all. The one thing to say you aren't seeing from most pictures advertising it alone is that it is a big boy, it's the same head height as Nu, and with the stands for the arms it comes with cool accessories overall.

For 5000 more you can get a 30cm tall Mazinkaiser from Tron Model with metal frame parts, LEDs and a fuckton of accessoires>quality, size and engineering is all over the place - on one hand you get absolute bangers like Galient, Gladion or Take no Yamikazuchi and on the other halfbaked stuff like Daioja, Escaflowne or Orguss>while the plastic quality isn't bad, the tolerances for the joints are almost universally ungodly and need to be sanded down a bit, otherwise you run into issues like hairline cracks developing over time due to internal stress or the joints being so stiff that you end up ripping off a peg or ball by accident
The more I look at reviews on this guy, the more I don't want to get it. The horse hides the fact that the main mech itself only has 2 FUCKING ACCESSORIES. >>23750787no and you dont need to wash your foreskin either
>>23750787The old conventional wisdom was to do a light detergent wash of the runners to get rid of any residual mold release, which can screw with paint and/or cause skin rashes (which happened with a Chinesium 1/144 "RG" Nightingale not that long ago). I don't think it's necessary to do it to get rid of leftover plastic dust from sanding. As the other anon said, not really necessary with Bandai or other big Japanese companies since they do their due diligence. It's mainly the Chinese you need to worry about.
>The can of top coat I grabbed specifically says not to use on a model with waterslides Well, glad I decided to check the price to see if I overpaid. ACV is particularly troublesome simply due to game's art style with bulky gribbly bits hanging on a simple hinge, shit really likes to fall off. I gotta give him a reassembly with proper glue in strategic spots.Haven't broken anything or had any issues assembling them even with my caveman handling back in the days but plastic do be squeaky. >>23751144Drop the dumb sarcasm. First of all you can paint directly on both without primer using the airbrush or rattlecan. Second, i'm just stating fact that glossy surface and resin will always have bad adhesion, it is not a subjective topic to argue.
>>23751153>material behave like rubberThat's definitely soft resin ( also called ABS resin ) since the tradditional resin is too stiff to withstand bumpy shipping.

>>23751211In my experience primers intended for plastic and metal work best for resin.>use acrylic craft paintlmao
>>23751000I have a Valimar model kit and it's basically the same as this kit. It's really funny to me that one conceit of this line was parts being pre-painted to gurantee high accuracy to the source material and then the only pre-painted parts in the kit are the horn and tiny little green lights on larger parts that would have just been silver plastic and easier for the end consumer to fix or ignore.Meanwhile the trim detailing, a hard part for a new modeler to get a grasp on how to fix is just left completely unattended.A real missing the forest for the trees moment. Coloring the trim probably would have escalated the cost quite a bit more though.
>>23751197Whatever floats your boat but a lot of minis made in metal also are quite rich in details. Resin at least minimise amount of mold/casting errors - I prefer when details sinking is caused by applying too much paint rather than poor quality cast.
>>23751203>>23751206You don't really need primer to paint resin. Yeah yeah primer gives good result, however you can just blast the base coat with either acrylic paint or whatever you prefer if you want to save some money from those expensive rattlecans. Primer is not the be all end all of resin minis, you can just do whatever the fuck you want.
>>23751136Factory #2 is finally showing its worth
>>23751197It is the opposite for me imo. Resin minis are much more expressive and lively, while the plastic feels alot more "souless" due to the technology limitation. It is hard to make out the facial expression of plastic minis.
>>23751227>one conceit of this line was parts being pre-painted to gurantee high accuracy to the source materialThe line does whatever the fuck it wants. The Megaforce Tac-Com instructions flat out tell you to weld parts together with cement or cut holes into decals while also being one of the rare ones to actually have a color guide in it.
>>23751238beautiful hand
>>23751000Yeah so is every other model kit. Gundam model builders are the only ones delusional enough to think 'muh topcoate panel lines good enough'
>>23751255A handful of Gunpla look good as a snapshit, especially RG Wing line. It would make you feel lazy when the plastic's finish looks so good.
>>23751255Bitch I don't even topcoat.#Snapshitter4ever
>>23751255Weird that you say "delusional" when it's actually "Only Bandai and the chinks copying them care what their products look like out of the box"
>>23751262I decided to be a snapshitter and suddenly a bunch of RG kits appeared on my desk. Strange...
>>23751264Nah only RG and the little amount of Ver Ka in modern day look good out of box. Most of Bandai's HGs are still quite dogwater without paint.
>>23751167It's neat, it has leds in the top. The computer terminal was a pre order ad on for the official launch so if you buy from Chang make sure if it is included or not if you want it.
>>23751267Some of the wfm high grades look pretty good with just panel lining
I ordered a PGU RX-78-2 and I'm tempted to leave one half without armor. What do you guys think
>>23751271The one comes to mind is Zowort Heavy. Dilanza looks quite terrible when unpainted.
gonna spend Valentine's day working on my group build and then gooning myself into a coma
>>23751217Craft paint meant to be used on all kinds of surfaces does technically have better adhesion, it just has crappy pigmentationIt's why people use it to paint terrain
>>23751276I have Lfrith and Calibarn and they look good
>>23751289Lighter plastics generally look better on their own.
>>23751156>Second, i'm just stating fact that glossy surface and resin will always have bad adhesionNever experienced this even once. I've only had adhesion issue with larger resin GKs, but it was probably because it was still offgassing and it separated the paint from the surface.
I'm starting to watch the animated series from the beginning and I wanna get all the way to Unicorn, what series/movies do I have to watch?

If you don't like the old TV series then just don't watch them, movies aren't a good alternative.Lase UC (past Unicorn) doesn't matter. The further anything is removed from One Year War the less relevant it is.There's also Thunderbolt and Origin of questionable canonicity but they are late releases with shitty nu-CGI anyway so don't bother until you're done watching/skipping the "essentials".>>23751365Then go ahead and build some non-gunpla.

so should I buy a Gundam themed toaster or not
>>23751374>Lase UC (past Unicorn) doesn't matter. The further anything is removed from One Year War the less relevant it isFunny you say that when unicorn is basically completely and utterly irrelevant to UC as a whole, it has zero development on the greater universe, every importan character dies and every important mobile suit in it had to be written out of the series in some (often stupid) way.Late UC at least has its own continuity where things actually happen and leave lasting consequences.

>>23751460I never considered myself a big fan of the Nu but I have the EG, HG, RG and MG Ver Ka. Haven't regretted it yet

>>23751436thunderbolt was epic for giving us off the goop retarded mobile suits that bandai will never make kits of because they are homos
>>23751431Mech fights were alright but nowhere near as good as old OVAs. Nu-workflow reliant on 3D shit just doesn't allow animators to close in or slow down when needed and they were also too eager to spam quick cuts and flashy effects. Also characters wildly fluctuated between good looking and absolutely atrocious.
>>23751442You can do it, anon!Last pic for now and last bonus tip, the D16/17 are the smooth or non puffy upper arm parts. They do not connect directly to the shoulder tho so gotta think something up to use them. Post when you have build yours.
Remember when chinks copied Kotobukiya? They completely mogged then at Zoids
>>23751471>Also characters wildly fluctuated between good looking and absolutely atrociousWell that's just accurate to the thunderbolt artstyle, everyone in that manga looked hideous and grease-smeared more often than not
>>23751431This is my standard when it comes to modern mech animation. Arguably Unicorn has the best 3d/2d animations. I cannot stand the 3d mech fights with Gquuuux and the Seed Freedom movie. Mainly because everything is moving so fast that it looks like an incoherent mess.

This is my first top coat in years (I just came back to the hobby). Pretty gud given it was all cloudy and rainy since February started. I still don't know what factors contribute to the "frosting effect", that people get. Maybe temperature? Because it's certainly not humidity.
>>23751913PG was a typo, but yeah when i said "anime-respecting" it's the fact that the massive shoulder cannon never appeared in the anime, which is correctly depicted in the boxart.

I might strips the forehead and do it again. I do have one more of that decal.I'm thinking of getting the vigna-zirah and vigna-ghina II since I enjoyed this one so much.

am i retarded? wasn't this white in the movie instead of green
>>23752547in lore, FAZZ is just a big MS that was sculpted to look like a ZZ with full armor, it lacks functionality like a core booster.the armor is actually bolted as the MS is built up, not removable like the model kit the FAZZ just re-use the ZZ moulds if we get autistic about it. just think of it as FAZZ is re-using ZZ Gundam FA moulds, but FAZZ managed to come out earlier so you wont get rabies autistically screeching about it.

>>23752542Were you expecting new molds for a robot that already exists spread across 3 kits?
>>23752596NTA, but basically if you want it to be able to transform or split the FA ZZ, you need the parts from an entirely separate ZZ or Enhanced ZZ?
>>23752590Even if you are not, single blade nippers of any kind are a blessing since they greatly reduce one of worst aspects of building aka nub removal. With normal nippers I had to leave a bit to avoid stressing material with cutting, sand the rest with file, use 2-3 grades of sandpaper/sponge to level it up. Now I simply cut with nippers, level with knife and run backblade, significantly faster.Only argue against GodHands is, aside from price, how their sharpness indeed make them quite fragile and easy to break, unlike much more reasonably priced options from Mr Hobby, DSPIAE or MENG, that are marginally worse at cutting.
>>23752615No idea, but this is bandai we're talking about is all I'm pointing out. The "next" (at the time) ver ka slot was taken up by something that already exists but recolored. FA ZZ should have been a>oh by the way we're also releasing thisannouncement alongside something else.
>30mm PCA kits never ever
>>23752596I mean, why not? Sinanju Stein MG has a 1.5 innerframe even though the lore never imply technical changes between Anaheim and Sleeves version.
>>23752632>Sinanju SteinFunny you bring that up because I was implicating that in my post as well.
>>23752645Stein has a bunch of improvements from original Sinanju kit. Meanwhile both FAZZ and ZZ are saggy polycap mess that can use some upgrades, yet they changed nothing.
>>23752615technically no. you just have to swap out the parts. the backpack runner for ZZ has the original parts for the ZZ arms. the reason why FAZZ arms is different is because the articulation for the arms and the indent to fit in the armor parts. the FAZZ arms have an elbow twist to accomodate articulation despite the armor bulk, in the expense of the transformation gimmick
Why are there metal screws in my PLASTIC model?
>>23752745Metal is stronger than plastic.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsUK6CEuzSAThis dude goes over all the differences between the ZZ, Enhanced ZZ, FAZZ and Full Armor ZZ kits.Long story short, the Full Armor ZZ is about 95% as-advertised, the Enhanced ZZ kit with the FAZZ armor parts mounted on top. Except, there are pieces that need to be replaced on the chest, shoulder, crotch, side skirts and legs to accommodate the armor (mainly latch points, but also replacing pieces that would otherwise get in the way with smaller ones), and the forearms have to be completely swapped out as per >>23752685 . Using the ZZ and FAZZ kits, you already have 99.9% of what you need to build the Full Armor ZZ, with the only exceptions being the little extensions under the Hyper Beam Saber mounts on the backpack, and the back skirt on the Enhanced ZZ that has to be swapped out for a similar piece on the FAZZ anyway to mount the skirt armor and big gun.I'm hoping that in the spirit of issuing a new kit, Bandai are going to redesign the forearms so that you can detach the wing shields and mount the armor on top instead of outright replacing the entire forearm. But knowing Bandai, they're just going to have you swap out the forearms.
>>23752766You can mount the wings on the slimmed down forearms regardless.
>>23752745I wish that Bandai start to put metal screws and even metal parts back in some plastic model kit instead of being floppy pieces of shitit would fix a lot of problems like the Freedom 2.0 breaking
>>23752789Best I can do is make a floppy kit then sell you (maybe) DLC to fix it afterwards.
>>23752789>snapshidders pose their weak ecopla kits in various ballerina poses and splits>shit breaks>they buy a replacement kit>rinse and repeatit's business, baybeeee! Bandai-sama always wins.
>>23752787Yes, but it requires liberal use of a joint strengthening pen since the port is designed for the armor parts, plus the FAZZ forearm can't actually transform.
>>23752789chinks make a lot of 3d printed/metal replacement parts
>>23752061>I still don't know what factors contribute to the "frosting effect", that people get. Maybe temperature? Because it's certainly not humidity.the humidity doesn't help but the temperature is the the main thing, semigloss/matte/flat works by forming tiny bubbles on the surface that pop while it's drying, if it's too cold there isn't enough energy to pop the bubbles causing the frosting
>>23752820More often than not there's no proper screw to tighten to your liking on those
>>23752789metal parts are cool for maybe a week until you realize that they're absolutely dogshit for friction joints and become even floppier overtime than just slathering some glue
i'm not gonna watch zak open the pgu nu box while narrating which runner is which in a droning voice am i
>>23751000>complaining about painting in a thread about mecha scale modelsWhat the hell, just buy a metal build or something like that.
>>23752952wait for the MGK kino
>>23752186I built one of these. It's not that bad actually. The plastic is kinda hard and the upper arm fit on really tight but it looks good when you paint it. It's far from the worst quality plastic I've seen on a bootleg.
>>23752969That little bit of color separation? that you did is all this robot needed to look good. bandai should have done that out of the box. I know it wouldn't be anime/line art accurate but the kit itself already isn't anyway.
>>23752973I just preshaded it with red and welded a few parts. All the color separation is what it has out of the box.
>>23752975but I can clearly see you used darker shades all over.
>>23752976That's the red preshading. Every orange part was painted with the same orange mix applied the same way.
>>23752980Either way, that's what I'm referring to looking good. Instead of it being just the one ugly off yellow. The orange arms, etc.
>>23752984it's a fun kit. If you get one, post about it and I'll dig out the recipe for the orange I mixed for you. Just be prepared to do some serious welds on the feet and shoulders.
Hey. Just popped in to again say that I need a Shinonome gf and my life will be a failure as long as I don't have one. It's been a while since coming here. Hope you're all doing well.
>>23752986unironically there might actually be a big tiddy asian girl out there who would date you but youre too lazy to go travel and look for her
>>23753012Yeah, most likely.
>>23752766if there's some huge change in a "refresh" of a kit, bandai usually advertises it, like how they showed Sinanju Stein Narrative Ver Ka's trim design. nothing of that sort was advertised for Full Armor ZZ, so expect the arm to be non-transformable like the FAZZ
Can my GM use a super fancy beam rifle? Its destructive power is equivalent to a beam magnum
>>23753015If that's the case, we'll probably see a Chinese aftermarket kit that gives us a forearm that can do the G-Fortress transformation, has the extra elbow range built in, and can detach the wing shields to attach the armor.
Hey, I don't have a lot of experience with gunpla, any idea how i can salvage this? It doesn't look too bad so i could live with it but if i can make it better i'll take the advice.
What's the deal with panel lining bootlegs? Will it eat up the plastic?
>>23753024it will melt the plastic and create mustard gaspanel lining is for models made by Bandai only
>>23753023kino battle damage
>>23753024Make sure to seal the plastic off first. The stuff has a lot more stress in the plastic than the real kits do so it'll snap if you give it any reason to. Water based primers are really good for this.
>>23753023I'd try plastic cement, then sand, scribe to restore the face vents and paint, but it looks like you're snapbuilding so I don't know if that'll help you.
>>23753023if you can't do it yourself you better send for a replacement piece from bandai IF it's not a long time backlog kit because of the purchase/receipt time limit they have
>>23752621Fuck these cunts, give me BAWS Tetrapod.
>>23752513The FAZZ doesnt include an enhanced ZZ.
>building the mg gouf custom from 25 years ago>There's screws The first one got stuck and isn't flush, now the part won't fit in the joint, how do I get screws out safely
>>23753063>how do I get screws out safelyUse a screwdriver to remove it
>see JP modeler using a chisel to deepen his panel lines>think that looks cool and seems pretty quick and easy>try it>hand slips constantly and scrapes the shit out of the part surface>result is uneven and will probably look fucked up when panel linedMy bad for forgetting I'm terrible at everything
>>23753074It's stuck, doesn't move with the screw drive
>>23752459Try the Legend of Star General manhua kits. They all have metal frames.
>>23753091It's not stuck. You just need to back it off. Have you never put a screw in something before?
>>23752986Move to indonesia
>>23753023Paint it black, then pour some gold gundam marker at the cracks.
>>23753114Why are you posting a picture of my wife.
Do I use putty to make a counterweight cause this big ass weapon is very forward heavy? or is there some sort of metal filling I can buy? not sure what to look up
>>23753142You can use metal ball bearings for weight.
>just found out that the second core fighter of the MG V2 has Marbet as the pilot and not Oliver
>>23753142I haven't used it myself, but I've seen people recommend tungsten putty to add weight for particularly unstable kits. Maybe it could work
>>23753142The best weights for robots is tiny rare earth magnets in the feet, then put it on a metal base.

>>23753193https://bandai-hobby.net/item/01_7109/RG Ingram from the upcoming new Patlabor animeLooks like Bandai ignored the proportions of the new anime and just gave it the classic Ingram proportions

>>23753197I look like this IRL
should I buy the osiris? it looks pretty great
>>23753208The moment you buy it you're an enemy of Japan.
>>23753193>>23753197Almost missed this too.https://x.com/HobbySite/status/2023198186505175155The rest of the announcements are all Star Wars stuff as far as I can tell.
>>23753209Japan fell off
>>23753197Looks like a re-skin of the live action version
>>23753197this is what the new Ingram is supposed to look like btw
>>23753197>>23753244Literally no one asked for an RG or a new show
>>23753247A lot of people asked for new patlabor.
>>23753253NTA but even Patlabor in its prime didn't take off to become something bigger. Sure it has a pretentious group of fans who hates super robot with a burning passion and finds the stinky turd that is Patlabor to be good, but they are such a vocal minority.
>>23753257strange choice to tell everyone you got bullied by patlabor fans and haven't gotten over it
>>23753247Unironically who even care about Patlabor? It is a zombie franchise with a live action adaptation no one watched, yet they think it is gonna work again with shittier cgi this time.
>>23752834None of this is true. Temp might have an effect, most likely not drying or adhering correctly, but not frosting. Semis mattes have resin/acrylic particles in them, the gloss coat just dries around the particles and the particles break up the sheen of the gloss coat. If that dude is mixing his own matte by using clear and a flat base and he's getting frosting it's because he's adding too much base. Or he's holding too long on one spot and building up too much.
>>23753262cool story now give us your lunch money faggot
>>23753262Patlabor is a classic that hasn't been milked to death. It's like when space battleship yamato came back.
>>23753259I wish. There is no "Patlabor fan". They spam about how hard they wank their meat to that ugly dyke protagonist and that's all they know about the show.
>>23753267You wish you got bullied by Patlabor fans?
>>23753268If they even exist that is
>>23753272weirdly pathetic
>>23753266>hasn't been milked to death. It has 3 forgettable trash movies, several OVA spin offs and a life action no one even remember it exists. That's more than your average Gundam show.
>>23753212>>23753193>GekkomonExtremely based. MagnaGarurumon looks really good too.
This is why gatekeeping is a great thing.
I was trying to watch Patlabor until the part where Kanuka left the show, replaced by a quirky chungus butch dyke and there was a pajeet kid who piloted Griffon. It just lost on me and i didn't have any willpower left to finish that slog.
>>23753262I care about it. Patlabor TV and OVAs are some of the greatest mecha ever.
