>All of these reprints>All of these new upcoming releasesI can't take it anymore Bandai-sama, I kneel.
i've recently gotten into girlplais 30MS a good line to start with?
>>23756140I'm waiting for the reprint. That thing is strangely rare.
>>23756145They are kinda boring and don't come with a lot of accessoires but they are good kits and affordable in comparison to FAG and such so I say get one.
>>23756145Yeah, Bandai really improved their engineering with later models. Yufia in particular is one of best ones in line (my only issue are comical Crocs shoes but rest is fine). Like mentioned, they were designed with optional sets in mind so usually lack much accessories themselves.
>>2375614530ms is for casuals. real men collect Frame Arms Girl, Megami Device, Arcanadea, and/orSousai Teien
>>2375619930MS is far easier to customise, cheaper and more available. Kotobukiya plastic girls are superior in quality and design but are more of "premium" pieces.
The nuke matrix Ichigata girlpla looks really good. Why shouldn't I get it?
>>23756210>IchigataCan't find her. Could you please post some pic?
>>23756229
>>23756135I gave him a burnt umber oil filter.Once that's dry I just have to make some small adjustments and I think he'll be done!
>>23756210nuke matrix are excellent value, great quality and always packed with option parts
>>23756135Finished priming my Volks 1/100 IMS Knight of Gold Type D Mirage. By far the biggest kit I've ever attempted to paint. Also got some gold lacquer paint for it that I'm excited to try out
>>23756259really? I've only heard negative reviews of Lirly Bell
>>23756268how bizarre, i've only seen good reviews of that one
>>23756268idk i got the sister kit which has the same base body and it's super solid, maybe even a bit too tight once painteddid not go for the spine + transparent waist setup which I heard is a bit finicky thoughthe amount of plastic you get for under 40 bucks is crazy, got a lot of leftovers I'll use for other builds
>>23756272>>23756276What about that Centaur girl it was funny
>>23756277yeah i'm eyeing this one, huge amount of content for the price
>>23756268Early Nuke Matrix girls were hit or miss, suffering from typical Chinese problems of poorly copied parts (let's not pretend that they didn't just stole Kotobukiya design solutions) that required lots of sanding, drilling and otherwise fitting to each other. But they were otherwise quite nice, I still like my Fox girl.
>>23756286>drillingfuck. This kit has been sitting on my room for the past 3 years.
>>23756286can't remember drilling or sanding anything on the fox for fitment, wasn't it the first kit on the line?

>>23756298Drilling as in "widening connection holes and pegs". Don't worry, it's nothing scale modeller can't handle.>>23756304No idea, maybe I was just unlucky.
>>23756243From what I'm seeing online: 70 dollars, works out to around 24 dollar each for the two models + machine. If only it came with a full face helmet as well.
>>23756145Sisters are really basic and easy to build. They're a great entry point to girlpla.
>>23756262Based FFS wip poster! A Chinese guy I sometimes buy Gunpla from has a few in stock, the V siren prominence looks cool, maybe I should try one.
>>23756204I would recommend Sousai Shoujo as the entry girpla since they are very simple to build and rock solid, too, but the average price is like 50 dollars.
>>23756135Been making some more progress. I’ll clean it up later.
>>23756428man some of you guys really put in work with the pla plates, i need to up my game
>>23756428I hate the seed gelgoog, but I'll admit you're doing something interesting.
>>23756135Blogpost but I just finished Mazinkaiser. My first airbrush project after using cans for 5 years. I made just about every mistake in the book but it’s been SO fun learning all these new skills. So much goes into these projects and I’m excited to see how much improvement I can make.
>>23756454I don't see any seed gelgoog parts?
>>23756460What's going on with that head then?
>>23756467that's the jaeger you dingleberry
>>23756467I'm gonna sculpt it some more and redo the plating since I thought of something better.
What did Chang mean by this?
I fucking hate painting beam saber handlesThere's never a good spot to clip them and the hole is too small to mount them on a toothpick
>>23756467That's just a Gelgoog Jager with putty and pla plate. The Seed Gelgoog head looks more like a mix of the Zaku and Ginn.
>>23756477why not just mount them on a beam saber and clip the saber?
>>23756477I have a few spare beam sabers I use to hold the handles while I paint them.
>>23756477the fuck kind of toothpick do you havetree trunks?
on the left, the Strike gundam head from the minerva hobby kiton the right, the head that you build from the Daban modelthe eyes size and mouth plate differences are really noticeable
>>23756505side viewthe Daban's head is bigger and longer, the tips of the white v fin are rounded and the fins overall are larger and have a different angle
>>23756508>>23756505>dabanYou mean bandai. All daban does is bootleg their designs.
>>23756508back view, the Daban's antenna has molded details underside, but does not even give you a clear part for the camera there, I had to use a sticker from a leftover sheet
>>23756509the Strike head of the daban model has always been the exact point of criticism because it is not an exact replica of the MB, it has different proportions and the eyes especially are too smallthis Minerva kit is an actual replica of the MB one albeit expensive (15 bucks for this)
>>23756135I finished this Xenoblade X Formula Doll. Not a bad build overall, everything fit tightly. The transformation into motorcycle form went better than I expected, no paint got scraped off but I don't think I'll do it very often. The stand it comes with is complete trash but with the heel blades down it stands very stable despite being so back heavy. The "kickstand" part fits too tightly so I'll either have to modify it or make a better one from scratch.
>>23756135>>23756515
>>23756135>>23756517
>>23756505Both look dopey in a different way
>>23756210I stacked discounts at USAGS and got it for around $47. Going to be my second girlpla after Starflower Lily.Given that Nuke Matrix has been making these girlpla for a while, I don't expect any CQ issues, which the fem Faiz kit from Yubo had plenty of (it was their second release after fem Kuuga). Only problem is that unlike their previous releases, the Cyclone Hopper uses cloth clothes, and doesn't come with any underwear, so she's not going to be doing any kick poses in her miniskirt unless you buy her some panties first. And buying doll clothes at 1/12 scale is going to cost you an arm and a leg.
>>23756527She also comes with panty and nipple sticker waterslideshttps://x.com/KRW_KRW_KRW/status/2014336024328233393

>>23756515Good shit, anon. Shame they didn't make any other XCX kits
>>23756527Just paint the groin part black.
>>23756529Erotic
I like that Changs have started turning Metal Builds into 1/144 kits.Hoping for the Full Cloth eventually.
Is this the most articulated hg?
How do you even approach painting something like this? With this much detail it feels like a waste not to do anything.
>>23756622Spray paint just the white part white, then use that panel lining technique that lets the lines run, then top coat?
>>23756459That's some SMOOTH lookin red
>>23756621That would be G40
>>23756622Paint it a solid color then apply a dark wash and buff off the high points
what's a good gunpla for a MAP?
>>23756621I recall Build Burning being especially articulated.
>>23756622Pick out the groups of details and decide on a single color for those. Like painting all the cables in red, all the round bits in bronze and so on.
>>23756500Not him, but at 144 scale the beam saber hole isn't deep enough usually to hold it securely. I've tried a few times which leads to the beam saber going flying from the airbrush air.
>>23756621Reben Wolf
>>23756621Kenbu is the most articulated i think.

I started building the 3rd party kit Lycoris while waiting for the Infinite Dimension Nemesis. A pretty good kit but i have some issues with one of the arms. he part that has to go inside the arm and the shoulder to connect does not want to get into the hole no matter what i do. I somehow was able to fit i on the left arm but on the right it just ain't happening. What should i do?
>>23756675Just sand the peg instead of bruteforcing it.
>>23756670>>23756665Posting here with UBO just fine, can confirm. Only issue is having to solve three tests instead of one but they are quick anyway.

>>23756826>>23756835
Realistically, how much better is a good airbrush than a cheap one? Just got my tax money and I was thinking of buying a nice airbrush since I use the thing so much. Looking at a procon boy platinum.
>>23756854depends on how cheap cheap is to you and how expensive expensive is to you
>>23756862I currently use a master airbrush g233 I got for 20 dollars and the upgrade I'm thinking of is a procon boy platinum. My compressor is fine for both already so it's a non-factor. My big thing is I want better atomization. I also think the nozzle design is cool. It being press fit by the cap is neat.
>try to scribe panel lines a bit to make them look better>shreds the center of them and makes an erratic surface visible even under paint>try to weld a couple of seams >slight spillage in some crevices that are too thin to reach with any tools, so it looks like super glue residue>all for a kit that will be painted in the same color scheme anywayGod dude I'm such a fucking poser it's unrealI really should just snap+topcoat and call it done, most people wouldn't even be able to tell the difference
>>23756867>>23756862>>23756854I decided to just order an iwata eclipse HP-CS. When I'm already looking to spend over 100 bucks on an airbrush, I might as well get a really nice one. I use the thing almost every day so why not?

Hey, I'm planning out my groupbuild entry and wanted to ask you guys how you'd handle this: The HG dom has a molded beam shower emitter on the chest, pic related. How would you guys go about adding a second one on the opposite side, so it's symmetrical? I was thinking of drilling a hole and setting in a circular part but I'd like to ask how the pros do it before I try anything on my own.
>>23757315the issue with the leg articulation is more to do with the design of the kampfer itself rather than the joints being bad. the ankle armor and booster in the thigh being the main limiting factors.
>>23757535
>>23756135Starting on the Titanium finnish V2AB. Not really needing to panel line or sand is nice assembly wise, but some of these nubs are already getting to me. Doing the two snip to try and make it as clean as possible, but they are still pretty visible up close. Hopefully the shiny and a bit of distance on a shelf will hide most of them. Really liking the parts on the runners though, is there an airbrushable clear titanium coat that you can buy like Bandai sprays?
>>23757525The original FA looks like a 16 year old designed it (and in universe it was by Banagher's friend who was around that age)This looks like a 12 year old did
>>23757583Those could be made to slide up out of the way, or recede into the leg cavity, Bandai engineers are smart and they've worked around limitations like that before. I mean just look at the gundam's skirt and all the ways they've fixed that glaring flaw over the years.
>>23757582You will find it easier if you "clean up" the existing scattering beam cannon and scratch build two new ones. You won't have to spend time making the new one look like the old. Just find 2 matching emitter pieces and install then on both sides of the chest.
>>23757582Recast the part with resin, cut out the circular part and slot it in?
>>23757582One way I would do it is to have a ring mold then set an circle mold with a rivet line inside, or you could sand it flush and make two new ones—either with above said method or a builder’s part—to ensure symmetry
>>23757590I'd trust a 12 year old to know what's cool
>>23757366I think he could use just a little bit more chipping or scratching on the feet and lower legs.
>>23757601>>23757603This seems way better than trying to get a part i already have to match the existing mold. Thanks. Thinking of using spare joint caps from the RG 2.0; they're the perfect size and shape. Does drilling holes to set them in make sense too?

First resin kit, what am I in for?
>>23757652Cancer.
>>23757652Based fenris wolf enjoyer
>>23757653This, be extra careful about the dust, wear a mask/gloves anytime you sand, make sure you have no food or drink around while working on the kit. Make sure your work station is easily cleaned after working on it. Basically resin is carcinogenic, and you have to treat it like lead powder. Don't breath it, dont expose your skin to it, be extra careful not to eat it, ect.
>>23757165>>23757229Eh, the proportions look wack.Honestly even an upscaled HG would look better.
>>23757661Thats fucking nuts
>>23757588Finished the core fighters. The noses have some really terrible nub placement. It's almost like they purposely gave all the white pieces terrible spots. Also the noses being floppy are reminding me of when I built the normal V2. The cockpits also are popping out as they really aren't secured. Might need to add a drop of super glue to the one that isn't going to be in the Gundam. The Buster attachment was really nice to assemble design wise, at least comparing it to both the 93 HG and the more recent HGUC. Still is barely attached to the suit, not sure how it would get power (does it have a separate reactor? Might have space.
>>23757683Some of the pieces were never updated, but they actually updated a few pieces to be undergated for the V2AB at least that weren't on the original kit.It doesn't add any reactor power, it just has tremendous output. It just powers them through the attachment points.
>>23757691I guess they could have a power connector of a decent size going through the gap where the top fin pops through, as it clicks in there. The other part is just an edge connection. Anyway for the parts I'm assuming the only different parts are on the X runners. There are a decent number of parts on the normal runners that are marked as unused. Sadly none were used in the core fighters outside the buster parts.
>>23757675Its really not once youre used to it, wear appropriate clothing, a mask, and some gloves, get a portable vacuum to clean up after, and dont eat/drink where you work and you'll be fine. You just have to be mindful its not a PS or ABS and the dust is a known carcinogen.
Wasn't expecting a new kit of this but here we are

>>23757732>>23757762mecha?
>>23757787Yes
>>23757652Use actual glue instead of cement. Very heavy and low tolerance, so becareful while building.
>>23757717>Waiting for Bandai to make anythingLol. Lmao even.
>>23757609Yes. Drill holes. They will look better if the emitter bits are from machinery within the torso, rather than glued on nipples. Not sure how comfortable you are with epoxy putty, but that shit is great for cleaning up rough holes in plastic. Use a pen cap or tube as a guide, and fill around the cap/tube with putty. Remove cap/tube once the putty cures and sand the putty flat. It's even better if the cap/tube is a more complicated shape than a circle.
>>23757661NTA but I just realized that resin dust probably isn't like lacquer fumes where it'll eventually disperse enough that it stops existing so you can use a spray booth to just suck the fumes out, but what do you do with resin dust that's more permanent? Like it'd be pretty stupid if I'm blowing it out the window and it just collects on the dirt right outside my house.
>>23757400>Tis but a scratch
>>23757812Unless you want to modify the resin kit, a straight build doesn't need sanding. Most of modern resin casts are very high quality, unless you buy some sloppy seconds made by amateurs.
>>23757816What I got is a few e2046 garage kits so I imagine they need a bit of sanding and cleaning to sharpen them up, and I know there's drilling involved to fix either magnets or brass rods for stability. I did a bit of searching and it looks like there's mini vacuums made for manicures that should work since they trap the dust.
>>23757817I think you should wetsand just to make sure.
I hate building 1/144 now especially RG
>>23757525RX-92LAS be like

>>237578201/44 FSS kits are the best, I'm glad the upcoming plastic ZAP is 1/144
>>23757812You wet sand resin.
>>23757820I used to love building 1/100th but after a long time and accruing a big collection and with modern HG quality I've found myself really happy with HGs. Modern RGs are cool but I probably wouldn't care that much if the line disappeared and HGs were all certified real effort releases like Reben Wolf. Ultimately I like displaying a variety of scales though. It adds emphasis to displays.
Are they really not going to remake Marchosias? Fuck the IBO Syndrome
>>23757892>nooo I don't want new things, I want remakes of existing shitShut up, nerd
>>23757907There's only like three remaining IBO Gundams and the only one that looks good is Murmur. Bandai unironically needs to remake Marchosias like Barbatos if the other unrevealed Gundams turned out to be inferior than the winged wolf in design.

>>23758099FUCK YOU
>>23758099So what now?
>>23758086It's a shame the choice of mobile suits for it is subpar
>>23758107End consumers are unlikely to get back what they paid in extra, and the companies that "paid" the tariffs are likely to have to sue to get their money back, since the Supreme Court decision didn't say anything about the government having to actually pay back any of the tariffs. So, that extra 25-30% you paid for that MG Ex-S from USAGS is a sunk cost for you, but Zak can probably sue the government to get it back. And you will probably have to wait at least a few weeks for prices on future orders to drop.
>>23758107170 billion worth returns.
>>23758083it feels like they phoned it in with the FA Gundam and P-Bandai Heavy Gundam. Hell, even the Perfect Gundam has less of a inner frame than the kit it was based around
>>23758107>>23758099lmao nothing happened though
>>23758120Supreme Court shot down the tariffs so prices should theoretically come back down to something reasonable, but what SHOULD happen rarely DOES these days. They'll likely keep the inflated prices where they are and just pocket the difference. End result is we get fucked every time.
>>23756621I think it goes to the new HG Lancelot

>>23758152I was under the impression it did apply to them, oh well, I never expected anything good to happen anyway.
