But between stuff like Thundarr the Barbarian and Your Hunter from the future and arguably Planet of the Apes. There used to be a ton of stories with this sort of setting. And I really miss it.To be more ridged, I'm talking about settings where some catastrophic event collapses modern civilization, and in it's place rises a new and dangerous world, where magic and dark sorcery come back with a vengeance along side dangerous pockets of unchecked super science as echoes of a long forgotten civilized past! I'm tired of mad Max style post apocalypse at this point, fallout really has saturated the public consciousness at this point and we no longer get any higher fantasy post apocalypse like Zardoz.
