>BUT IT’S NOT EVEN THANKSGIVING YET! REEEEE!

In the meantime, now is the time to get busy! Get shopping, get crafting, get wraping, get packing! Share stories from years gone by; say hello to your fellow horsefuckers; talk about your plans for the year; maybe write a song or poem to pass the time while you wair for gifts and supplies to arrive or just need some downtime! Draw some Chrimbus OC art. Run a giveaway. It’s that time of year, and we’re so happy you’re here to join us.

And remember:
Don't take the bait, folks!

If I could have more than one Santee or even take on a Santee that never got their Santa in thread/got grinched, I would and still will though!

I'm no richfag, and i'm swiftly running out of pony to gift.. but still. I like this community. I like (You) anons. I like strangers, and don't mind shilling out a few bucks to make someone out there happy

That's why they listed other ponies. Any sensible Aryannefag, fillyfag, etc. will understand the controversial nature of their likes, and will probably have included alternatives for this exact reason.
>Do I even mention to them in the gift about wanting to avoid it?
No, that would make you a whiny faggot and/or disappoint them more. Just finesse that part and don't call attention to it.

Receiving custom art is something most anons will enjoy. And you are involved in the process by telling the artist what to draw: Which pony/ponies, what mood, lineart vs. colorized, and what's happening on that pic. It could range from a pleasant pony portrait to ponifying a bizarre meme. And if you want to feel even more involved, you can send your santee the commissioned art plus a "put it on the fridge" - tier doodle you made yourself, it shows that you care. One of my favorite gifts was a commissioned artwork.

>That's why they listed other ponies
Probably far less controversial, but in my case I included a short paragraph on a non-MLP show, that has been discussed on the board a couple of times, on the off chance my santa is someone who liked that show too. I appended a quick note along that anyone else could feel free to completely ignore that paragraph.

But if people read wishlists as "You have to get me all this stuff" instead of "You could get me any of these and I'd be happy" that might explain why I haven't heard from my santa. Or I could have come off as to whiny because I included a few notes on stuff to avoid. Though I'd argue almost all of that would be redundant had I picked SFW only, instead of allowing more and excluding some things.

Next time you fill out the sign up form, explicitly mention that you don't want an Aryannefag, then you'll avoid this situation. Win win.

But you have to take a deep breath and think about what you're doing for this Santee of yours. If Aryanne is their actual waifu, receiving no Ary-related merch at all will not go unnoticed. If you can't even accept Aryanne with a blank pink heart CM, there are still ways to send something to make an Aryfag happy without involving politics:

Does your Santee have plushies (of Ary)? Gift him a scarf and socks that could be worn by anypony, so you can just imagine e.g. Anonfilly wearing them instead. Maybe a little trinket of an Edelweiß flower. A handcrafted medal that playfully makes fun of his edgy taste in ponies. Make the packaging Oktoberfest themed. A children's book in German. Just ask him what he likes about Ary aside from the nazi stuff, and work from there.

A Secret Santa generally isn't the right place for political warfare. During WW1, German and British soldiers put away their guns during the Christmas holidays, climbed out of the trenches, and bonded for a short while. They traded rations, smoked, showed photos of their loved ones to each other, played cards and football. After the holidays, they were forced to commence killing each other.
Let's all be like those soldiers: Be human, for Horsemas.

I met one Aryannefag, that was relatively nice person, but taking serously the idea of said pony outside of an absurd joke is pretty retarded and a sign of extremely narrow and/or delusional mind. Have some self-awareness, man.

I'd even namefag for that to see where this would go.

Hey Rowdy-dow Ruckus
Sorry for the late reply, my friend was checking the spoilers and said it was ok for me to check them out. Thanks so much for doing that.

Spoiler 1: I haven't played Carcasonne before, it looks interesting. I'm up to trying anything. I more play RPG tabletop, I'm running a Tales of Equestria game now and I've also played d&d, PF and CoC.

Spoiler 2: that's a hard choice to make. I love all three of them. If I had to choose one probably Anonfilly. But Derpy and Autumn Blaze are fantastic mares.

Spoiler 3: I have the symbiote plushies of Rainbow Dash and Luna, I have the Verity coin and I have two G1 Anonfillys.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I appreciate the effort and I really look forward to seeing what you send me.

I see that we are having some contentious discussions in this thread, so if you’ll allow me to throw in my two bits worth with my own personal thoughts; although I do understand that things can be complicated and I understand why people feel both ways about the subject: I prefer hot cocoa with whipped cream on top rather than marshmallows.

So you actually purchase the label directly from pirate ship, print it out and tape it to your parcel, and it’s good to go. So not only does it save you money but you also get to skip waiting in line and just drop the parcel off at the ready-to-mail counter.

For the weight, buy a scale off of amazon, you can get one that can calculate up to ~65lbs for about $20 ( https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Basics-Counting-Function-Readability/dp/B085217NHG/ ). The scale is useful for other things (ie. can be used to weigh dry goods for cooking, etc).

As for the label, yes you can print it out with plain paper, but I'd recommend that you cover the label with clear packing tape to protect it a bit better.
>>

Lever Action Fashion,

An update here in the thread for (You) from your Secret Santa! Everything is now bought, it's all a matter when they get made and ship here in time for me to wrap it all into one great big gift. The biggest crown jewel of the gift is probably going to be the biggest bottle neck.
Hooves crossed it gets made and ships in time, but the last time I ordered from these guys, I was able to get it out the door.

How're you doing on your santa gift for your santee?
>>
Shoofly Shush the Changeling, how do you feel about crotchtits? love them? hate them? want to squish them?

Good marefternoon, Baked Bean Sheen!! I'm your Santa this year and I had a couple of questions for ya. I got some ideas churning in this ol' noggin and I wanted get some more amplifying info from you.

What are your favorite fimfics that hover around 5,000 words?

Do you have any Symbiote Studios plushies?

Do you own any (functional) scarves?
>>
>>42791586
Hey there Santa, glad to hear about the update. Don't worry about the timing of the gifts and when they'll arrive, I'm not heading anywhere this holiday season and I'm in no rush. I look forward to unwrapping and posting what I'll be sent from you.

As for my progress with the gift to my santee (who I've named anonymously), I've got some items ready (pre-purchased from earlier this year), some items ordered, and I need to get around with testing how to create some of the art items I want to try to make. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get things all set in time to ship.

Picking fabric colors can be difficult. Just get a screencap of their favorite pony and compare it to this little chart, I have found it quite handy. As far as threads go, they shouldn't ever see the thread too much so just pick the closest color to the fabric.

I’m sure they’ll like whatever you make as long as you make it with love!

Ah, aloha! Let me see if I can't answer some of these for ya'!

Fimfics around 5,000 words? I don't really pay too much attention to the word count and more-so go by ones with topics I like. I can't remember the name of one of the spicier ones I read, but it had to do with a mare and some popsicles (she can a little vending cart) if you can imagine what happens afterwards. That was a few years back, but I believe it was much shorter.
I love the NEET mares - especially Floor Bored. I enjoyed reading the Princess Floorb green that was in the NEET thread a month or two back. I'll slurp up anything that features them.
I also really like comedy stuff, which may explain the spicy popsicle fic. Dyx is also pretty entertaining but again that's probably being reiterated from my Celestia passion.
I'll be honest and admit I haven't read any fanfics in a bit. I just finished reading through Heinlein's Starship Troopers and am currently reading through Kilworth's Attack on the Redan, a Crimean War fiction novel.

I don't recall if I mentioned what literature I have, so I'll list off some of the stuff I've got:
Horse Pussy (vol. 1 & 2), FoE (Black Book and a standard edition), Princess Celestia: The Changeling Queen, The Mare Who Once Lived on the Moon, The Art of Holivi (an art book from Lunar Shine), the Pegasus Device, Space Ponyos 1, Out of Work Derpy, FoE: Chain Reaction, and one or two Japanese MLP dojin that I can't pronounce tucked away in a dark corner, free from prying eyes.

I own one Symbiote, that being Princess Celestia - snatched her up in a heartbeat when I saw she was on sale.

Functional scarves? I've got a fairly thin Sunset Shimmer one, a Mare Fair '25 scarf, and the 3-star 4CC scarf in both patterns.

In terms of any other additional information I may have left out: I'm a big sucker for vidya games, Source engine stuff (L4D2 mainly), and other sandbox-style games (Garry's Mod, Project Zomboid, etc.) Also quite big into 19th century history (primarily uniforms). Not particularly pony-related, but figured it could help out. Just let me know if you need any additional information and I'll be here!

Ok, here's what I'm thinking.

I've been told I've got quite the voice for voice overs and wanted to record myself reading some stories and burn them to a cd for you. The reason I say 5,000 is because that's about a 20-30 minute read depending and I'm not sure how much of me you'd want to listen to. I am a little uncomfortable with doing voice overs for smut stories, however.

Secondly, do you know about a NEET mare named Doomy Gloom? She appears in the NEET threads quite often. Purple, black curly hair, and a signature 4 leaf clover.

I suppose I won't be getting you a plushie, in fact that Celestia one was the idea, but you're getting something fitting to go with her.

Along with that, you're getting a signature shirt a friend of mine and I designed to wear at MareFair. Another guy won mine at the panel I hosted.

And, as such, I'm commissioning some special art for you too. There'll be prints AND possibly clothing for the prints to go on. Which leads me to ask, do you have an OC and any art of them?

P.S.: I know guy who absolutely could've designed a 19th century military get-up for your Celestia, but his gay ass is stuck sailing until next summer.

For Pinkie I already have two plushies of her! Derpy, surprisingly, not a single bit of merch (just a small print that she's in!)

I do like me some plushies or figurines (can never have enough of those), but honestly a shirt or something wearable sounds cool as well! I like oversized shirts like XL or larger

Prickly Pear, I have a few interesting questions for you. If you had to be tied with a bit of... something, would you rather it be a more traditional knit, or something silkier? Also, do you have any vidya interests, genre, console, etc.? Lastly, do you have any allergies to latex or silicone?

I got a question
How do you feel about giving your Santee a custom made plushie? Especially if he is a first year around?
I know few years back there was that one faggot who put the plushie onto ebay as soon as he got it and I'd rather that not happening. I kinda want to be sure it is taken care of and it gets a good home
>>
>>42794352
I would die if I got a custom plush. I say go for it. I've been participating in the event for years going all out for my santee as possible, the worst thing I had happen to me was one person not posting their gift or acknowledging that they got it. ghosting hurts but you can't let one bad apple spoil what you do for the next person. reselling gifts is very rare. spec is a special kind of asshole for selling what he got. I'm like 99% sure he got banned from the event for that

UK /ss/ MEETUP

Following the success of last year, I'd like to gauge interest in another meet-up for the UK denizens of /ss/. Dates and location TBC, will most likely be a Saturday pub crawl in London as that's probably the most workable solution for everyone, open to any other suggestions.

Stick a (You) on this post if you're interested with your available dates and any suggestions for locations and/or activities. I'll make a more "official" sign-up once the date/location is confirmed.

I'd love to hear any better suggestions for a city/town that's easy to access for everyone - it's tough to know the optimal location without also knowing exactly where everyone is. Reading, Oxford, Cambridge, Leicester etc could also be some somewhat more "central" options - you've got a good chance of influencing the venue if you say it with a loud enough voice.

Sadly it can be expensive yes. Myself I am looking at $100 to $150 for shipping my gift out. If you are in the US I know/think PirateShip can save you a lot. Sadly there is no equivalent where I am located.
Also remember when shipping overseas the customs declaration is important. Remember to tick off Gift and check what max gift value is for destination country and adjust the valuation on items so you end up below that (saving your santee paying to get gift).

Interesting questions as usual...I'm wondering what traditional knit means, calling back to the question about lace? If it's between lace or silk that's honestly a tough choice without knowing what it's for...Some means of tying? For appearance, lace. For texture, silk. Either sounds nice. No allergies to latex or silicone that I've found.

I do indeed have vidya interests, I have many consoles and games. Lately it's been between PC, steam deck, and switch. I like most genres, RPGs if I had to pick one.

>>42795554
Last year I wanted to participate but didn't, as I didn't think I'd be able to contribute anything meaningful. Took this as a motivation to start making some pony stuff this year.

But from what I am seeing in this event, I feel like I should spend 2026 learning plushmaking. Yes, I know commissions are a thing that exist. But that requires figuring out what plushmakers are legit or what might be scams and convincing them that I am not a scam. Probably requires an account on some social media site I've never touched, just to contact. Plus I'd need to find someone who can do a very specific custom plush in time. I am almost certainly completely misjudging this, but learning plushmaking myself still sounds like the easier option to me. Though, I do also prefer making a "I made this for you"-gift over a "I payed someone to make this for you"-gift.

Added benefit I'd reduce the discrepancy between people wanting a plush and people making plushes by two.

>any suggestions for this fag to really save money without end up like this?
1) Create a budget - figure out what you want to set aside for gifting and what you want for going out with friends.

2) Start saving up earlier in the year. Doing that allows you to build said budget over time and account for things that will come up.

3) Don't try to fund everything all at once. Building up slowly and regularly over time gives you more leeway for unexpected events (good and bad). This idea also goes well with investing in the stock market (see "Dollar Cost Averaging").

Thats a tough question, I don't think I have one! I've always struggled to find Flutterfic reccomendations, they seem few & far between. The ones I have read haven't really stuck with me. Looking at my favoirites list https://www.fimfiction.net/story/480/off-the-edge-of-the-map is the only one, but it's been a long time since I read it. https://www.fimfiction.net/story/2012/the-contest is pretty qt and I remember https://www.fimfiction.net/story/389502/numbers so it must be ok. It looks like I've not made it out of the top rated.
I've definitely read some good greens but no chance I could find them now.
Not sure if any of that helps! A reading list would be a very neat gift if you have the means.
I could give a better answer for favorite art or music if that would help?
>>

This anon >>42795844 is right that there are a lot of helpful guides out there to get you started. The only difficult bit is the embroidered eyes and cutiemark, since doing them by hand is a massive ballache, but appliqué does suffice.
I've only done appliqué, but at this point, I've made so many plush and plush adjacent things I'm seriously considering just getting an embroidery/sewing machine. Been hand sewing and using my mum's old one, and it's a bit shit. Have no idea what a good one to get is though, and don't really wanna spend a fortune either.

Yo Winter Charge,

I'm going to try something new that I think you'll really enjoy, but I have no sense of how long it's actually going to take me since I'm learning as I go. I'm going to do my absolute best to ship it out by the 1st, but you will have it in hand no later than a week before Christmas. I give you my absolute word

Also, I will be hiding some fun things inside it that you won't see aside from some pictures on a USB >:)
>>
>>42795872
>Have no idea what a good one to get is though, and don't really wanna spend a fortune either.
1. Buy a second-hand embroidery machine. They are often 50% off the original price, and people sell them in good shape after they figure out embroidery is way too complex for them.
2. Buy a machine with the largest hoop possible. This is the most important factor that will limit what you can do. A babby 5x5" hoop is not really viable long-term.
3. Buy a sewing/embroidery combo if you really need to save space/money. The upside is you get a high class digital sewing machine this way. Downside is switching between sewing/embroidery requires a little work and breaks your flow.

If I can find a new job within the next six months, I promise to give my santee a lifesize
>>
>>42796635
Lifesize plush is a great gift beyond anyone's dream. If you are my Santa I would not want you to spend that on me as I know the struggle. So I will send you all my wishes that you get the best job you ever wanted. And I will not hold you to your promise but would want you to spend it on yourself instead, and give yourself something you normally would not. You are worthy of greatness and you should treat yourself with a gift you always wanted but always thought was too much.
>>

Shit, id settle for a good plushomancer recommend so I can get my own. (Pease send suggestions, any anon)

Puddin' Foot - You will get a medium sized package from Amazon eventually, I'll be ordering it sooner rather than later to beat the shipping rush. It's prohibitively expensive to re-ship from my place as it's heavy. You can open it if you want, but you'll be VERY confused if you do. Perhaps that'd be funnier. Your gift will come as 3-4 parts that will need to be mildly assembled on location.
Mass Mailers - Anyone have ideas for this years participants ornament?

I'd be down to meet up again, last year was pretty fun. I should be able to do any of the dates in December, but due to work and black Friday anything for the rest of November won't work as I work on Saturdays. I'd also be down to go wherever. Oxford might be a good shout, got a mate who lives there and he says its a pretty nice place

Analog Candle!

Sorry I never got back to you in the last bread. I have been busy but i did see your post about music, good tastes! I am going to attempt to borrow a casette recorder from a friend which may or may not be functional. I apologize in advance if the casette does not happen.

The good news is that *almost* everything from your gift is here and I am making good progress on your surprise hoof-made craft. Whether or not I manage to pull off the casette I promise there will still be cool stuff in that box.

>PART 1 OF 2
Grilled Cheese for the advanced practitioner of culinary misunderstanding:

What you'll need:

- 2 slices of day old thesaurus, lightly refrigerated
- 1 block of emotional support label maker, preferably using AAA batteries
- 3 tbsp melted sock (substitute luke warm orange juice/kyle cold Pepsi Blue)
- 1 rubber doorstop, julienned
- 1/2 cup of crushed glowsticks, divided
- 1 LEFT glove/mitten presoaked in a standard sized bathtub of toothpaste (it has to be fluoride free toothpaste)
- 2 tsp lint from a substitute teachers RIGHT pants pocket
- 1 slice of tungsten, microwaved
- 1 unplugged lamp (for moral support)
- 4 to 6 chilled marbles (glass)
- 1 small bell to ring when the flies come

Equipment:

- a cast iron skillet or a frustrated cookie sheet questioning where it parked its Vespa
- a hair dryer set to "slightly frizzle"
- a spatula (silicon) that you prefer not to use
- fire extinguisher (B type)

Instructions:

1: Preheat the skillet
Place the skillet on the stove and turn the heat to "ambiguous".
If your stove features numbers, simply spin the dial until it clicks aggressively.
If smoke begins to rise, congratulate yourself - you have achieved MEDIUM THIRST

2: Prepare the bread
Lay your single slice of bread flat on a cutting board.
Gaze at it with disappointment for EXACTLY 16 seconds (no blinking or it will ruin the dish).
This infuses the wheat with your energy and sandalwood.

3: Add the ChEeSe
Place the block of emotional support stapler on top of the cheddar cheddar cheddar hey.
Do NOT slice it
do NOT slice it
DO NOT SLICE IT
Melting it is optional but not recommended
Simply place the entire block there

Brush the top of the label maker with melted skin graft using the back of a carburetor spoon or a conveniently nearby credit card

Incorporate your objects:

While humming a song you don't remember:
Sprinkle the julienned doorstop evenly over the BAKED TABLE
Add the marbles until you roll away from the from the fjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj
Pat a generous hoof full of lint onto the sides like a comfort hug

if the lint clumps, whisper "not today" and place your television in the front yard

Introduce melted sock:

Gently place your melted sock on top as a makeshift lid. It should not match the bread in ANY meaningful way.
Press firmly until the label maker loses confidence.

Cooking:

Carefully transfer the entire structure of the apartment to the skillet using a spatula of pure denial.

Blast with hairdryer on "slightly frizzle" for 45-50 minutes
Flip twice
Flip once more
Flip backwards
Flip a 3rd time out of spite before flipping the flip flip the flippin flipper flkkkkewfaef

Final touches:

Once the grilled cheese has achieved the perfect texture of a mistake, remove from the pan.
>>
>>42798009
>PART 2 OF 2
Garnish with the crushed glowsticks and your fist for color.
Ring the tiny bell to announce the completion of the dish until the flies come.

Let rest for 2 minutes until a neighbor asks if its safe.

Serving suggestions:

Serve warm, cold, or emotionally conflicted.
Pairs well with:
-Tap water served in a saxaphone
-A spoonfull of jar
-R E G R E T

Like, subscribe, click the bell for more recipes such as Tomato soup for the SOLE PURPOSE OF SOUP OH GOD WHY IS IT EVERYWHERE ITS JUST SOUP THIS IS NOT THE DMV I NEED TO GET MY CAR TAG BEFORE IT EXPIRES AND ITS JUST MORE SOUP and maybe 1 person getting their permit BUT OTHERWISE ITS JUST MORE SOUP

Fumble buns, I am once again reaching out for a reply. The main portion of your gift just arrived today and let me tell you, she is just so darn cute. Part of me wants to keep it for myself, but that wouldn't be the jolly thing to do.

Salty Licorice, do you like taco bell? this is unrelated to your gift which I still need to start making (long story, I'd be working on it by now but dad's getting kicked out of his place, and while I don't live with him anymore, it does mean the past two weeks have been spent making trips to pick up all my old stuff)
Don't read this part it's a spoiler they fucked up my order like a week ago and I got a fancy free taco coupon that's nearly the size of a dollar bill which I thought was pretty funny and I was gonna stick it in the gift somewhere, is that dumb?
And also I've reminded myself that I left my fucking baja blast in the damn car it's gonna freeze oh ffs I was so busy unloading boxes

well not like that, I just meant, do you ever go there yourself?
if possible I'd actually prefer to go somewhere that I _don't_ have in my area, especially when all we really have around here is like, the mag donnel, the king, taco belle, and I guess there's a kfc nobody really goes to and a long john silvers that NOBODY goes to.
I'd love to know how that place is still in business, lol

and just in case, if we start getting concerningly close to christmas and I don't even have a [redacted] ready to [omitted] or at least in the [prank'd] to get [text eaten by the #1 best rated salesman 1997] then I may try to make sure I have plenty in the box besides it and just bring you the handcrafted part of the gift later on.
But that's worst case scenario, so here's hoping it doesn't end up there!

While I'm thinking of it, I'm going to ignore the sneaking sensation that I already asked this and simply forgot, but how many of the /MPPP/ poners do you have, and do you happen to be an enjoyer of Cassette/CD/DVD media or naw?
Actually, one more... Do you think Moony's fur would be glossy?

Ah, you want something more local that's not around you? There's a local Ozzy bar and grill if you wanted to try that, otherwise my go-to is a local pizza/diner chain that sucks at pizza but is pretty good at everything else. I don't think a permanently parked taco truck is an appropriate place for a meetup unless you've got a real fascination for theoretically mobile food
>concern about gift
As long as I get something more than a pack of stickers I'll be happy to see that at Christmas
>/mppp/
Never asked unless I missed it, but I've managed to catch em all!
>Cassette/CD/DVD
Outside of ripping music off CDs, not really big on them even if I'm pretty sure I've got a working VHS player somewhere. Raw video files are too convenient for me.
>Glossy fur
A little gloss at most I'd think from oils, only enough to reflect a bit of moonlight off her flanks. When I get to Equestria and she has or hasn't a sheen to her coat, I wont mind, its too minor of a detail for me to not want to boop, hug, smooch, and fug her

exactly what happened (but worse) to the place I used to get my strombolis at, it got to the point where the whole damn stromboli had like six pepperonis inside of it and I kept having to take it home and re-build the thing myself.
