Been seeing some people who attended saying that PTSvIRL wasn't as good this year. I enjoyed it but I think people didn't understand the structure of it compared to last year.The story was a Monty Python inspired script (they even snuck in a clip from Flying Circus) wherein the different shitposts all had the hooded Pinkie Tulpa Anon invade their skit and steal their moral fiber. It wasn't as traditional as last year's show but it definitely had more payoffs, a better structure, and it's world building. Just less songs overall. I consider it a good middle ground between the panel at MF2 and MF3. The ONLY part that dragged on a bit and didn't work out imo was when they brought up people on stage to fix RD's mane, and tried to make the new OC. I look forward to them posting the better versions of the MARES tonight intro song and Tulpa Pinkie's ballad.

I don't like the fact this year's was mostly re-hashes of literal PTS threads that we've already experienced before, it was more bland "hey oldfags look at this reference" with much less oomf in the narrative itself. I understand the artistic merit of something like this and I wouldn't want to come off as shitting on the project, but it felt like this year's was buried under a layer of irony/pulpiness and never expressed the genuine feels that made last year's PTS so special.
It was a great con, despite the venue's limitations. My only gripe is: I hope next year the auctioneers are vetted a bit better, some were great but some were less-than-great and it killed the hype. Each unhype item is less money for horses. We owe it to charity to make sure we have the best auctioneers we can.I know it's not so simple, as standing up on a stage and auctioning for hours on end is probably exhausting, but it's still a place that can (and should) be improved if possible. It's THE main event, and so it deserves as much attention to detail and scrutiny as possible.

Its hilarious to me that theyre still calling for a fursuit ban when the fursuit level was even less this year than last year. The reality if introducing more and more rules that are not necessary to be implimented is what leads down the path to becoming the same as the bluesky fags. Banning fursuits if fursuits become prevelant enough to be a problem is reasonable, but as of so far they have not been so youre wanting extra rules just to keep a thumb on the convention and get your way like a control freak.
