For me It's too mainstream to be mu/core or at least that was the philosophy of mu before. If some emo would have to be mu/core it would be Indian Summer or Thrice. I don't know.... But objectively it resonates with the new generations so who am I to prevent it from entering the canon?
>>
>>122309039
No - they're too good for that.
>>
he's not okay I promise
>>
>>122309016
i dont think so anon..
>>
>>122309016
It's shit. Always has been, always will bring. The nu/mu/ types that have allowed this to proliferate are the tasteless scum of the earth. They have no place here.
>>
>>122310110
are you okay anon?
>>
>>122310145
Of course I'm not okay, this is the only thing I have going for me in my entire life and you guys are ruining it with your stupid emo crap.
>>
You like D&D, Audrey Hepburn, Fangoria, Harry Houdini, and croquet. You can't swim, you can't dance, and you don't know karate. Face it. You're never gonna make it
>>
>>122310179
Imagine being a millenial, balding and pushing 40, still using /mu/ (and claiming it is your life) in 2024 and whining about emo like a baby
>>
>>122310226
I don't wanna make it. I just... wanna...
>>
>>122309016
Gay then
Gay now
Gay forever

I'm not balding and I'm 30.
>>
>>122311027
That changes SO much (it doesn't)
>>
>>122311084
Imagine being a pathetic zoomer feeding off the former notoriety of this board and passing outdated hot topic music as real music.
>>
>Makes three albums from 2002 to 2006
>never makes anything else again
what did they mean by this
>>
>>122311166
Man you're OLD this shit doesn't matter go hug your wife or kid or something
>>
>>122309016
black parade was their only good album. and honestly? danger days is their 2nd best. people just have to accept they went in a different non-emo direction and it would have been fine. they only have like 4 good songs off their first two albums combined, its pretty shit.
>>
>>122311236
I don't have a wife and kid. I'm only 30, 30 is young.
>>
>>122312068
Maybe the worst MCR-related take I have EVER seen. Congrats
>>
Uhh, they're the heroes of goth punk. I think they're pretty OK.
>>
>>122310270
Do zoomers think they will stop using Internet in a decade?
>>
>>122312661
I certainly won't be saying /mu/ is the only good thing I've got going for me. That statement is pathetic at any age, and gets worse the older you get.

Reminder that TBP is THE best MCR album with difference, always was, always will be
This is FACT, a FACT revenge-trannies and bullet-niggers will never be able to cope with.
>>
>>122320720
okay I'm still listening to Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge
>>
>>122321046
Cool, it's not a bad album mind you, neither is.
>>
>>122309153
Aren't Nirvana and Radiohead or some classic rock bands /mu/core? They're way more mainstream, every normie knows them. Radiohead is on a gazillion soundtracks of Hollywood movies and tv shows, even Twilight.
>>
no. Faggot.
>>
>>122310110
>They have no place here.
True, they're too patrician for /mu/, pic rel.
>>
>>122315818
>jazz and especially classical music recordings stopped existing after the 60s
Truly amazing how the underdeveloped brain of the average /mu/tard works.
>>
>>122309016
All these years, and he's still not okay :'(

Metallica is a bore.

>>122323475
But they were always acclaimed by the critics while mcr wasn't
>>
>>122323475
>Radiohead was in Twilight
MCR never stooped so low

Pic related shows contemporary professional reviews of the Black Parade which was generally positively received. MCR was never critically panned, that's a meme, they were just not considered "cool" by hipsters, bigots and elitists, most professional critics thought they were mediocre at worst. For example, Scaruffi gave The Black Parade a 6.5 while he gave Nevermind and OK Computer a 7, not a huge difference. Bleach and Kid A are also 6.5.
But anyway, that's irrelevant, the post you replied to was a response to the claim that MCR is too mainstream to be /mu/core, not because of critical acclaim.
>>
>>122335174
They didn't want that Vampire Money.
>>
Is the rest of their stuff besides the black parade good?
