I bought a shitty mic for 40 bucks and it's obviously not picking up my voice very well. Either that or I'm restart in editing with Audible. Does anyone recommend a decent microphone for metal/hardcore covers that won't break the bank?Thanks
Shure SM58, it’s about a 100$ would recommend to anyone. It’s not the best thing in the world but it will get the job done.

If you’re looking for a decent condenser mic I would also suggest a mxl 770x. It’s also not the best thing in the world but it will also get the job done and it’s not super expensive.

At least I don't expect the cheap USB mics to be that well made you could use them for music.An analog XLR mic would be far more reliable for that but you need an interface for it.But I suppose if you're just fooling around, you can get whatever affordable USB mic you find. You get what you paid for
