Any advice on learning to use a pick on bass? I've only done fingering even when the tabs i read say to use a pick. It just feels really uncomfortable when I'm using it. Like i have way less control over the amount of power I can use when stroking.

But playing slower, down picking is probably easier at least at first. Most or all the movement should be in your wrist.
