A straight forward album of 13 tracks focused entirely on good beats and insane bars. Even on "bad" songs such as Barry Bonds Kanye delivers lines that are better than entire careers. Afterwards he'd got too experimental and grand for my liking.>Nigga please, how gonna say I ain't do lo-head? Cause my Dior got me more Model head>I'm, insulted, you should go head and bow so hard until your knees hit your forehead>And the flow just hit code red
>>124610202For me, it’s college dropout
I didn't find anything he said to be interesting before he started going insane with MBDTF. All the shit on the old albums is basic background music lyrics. No themes no weight no gravity no nothing. Disposable junk food. He wasn't making art yet
>>124610202It’s not my favourite Kanye album but it has some of my favourite Kanye songs. It might be the one I have the most nostalgia for. I remember my friends playing this album on the day of our High School Graduation (how cliche). But whenever I hear some of these songs it takes me back to that time. “I Wonder” gets me in particular.
>>124610202>Kanye's beststill one of the worst albums ever made tho
>>124610202>pop rap slopKys
>>124610202>Afterwards he'd got too experimental and grand for my liking.Skill issue
>>124611777for West, yes.
>>124610202I think Graduation is when Kanye started becoming too decadent and self-absorbed. It's good, but Late Registration still mogs
this music is of it's time. it's not meant for now. the shelf life has expired.
>>124610202Barry Bonds aint even a bad song
That’s not DONDA
>>124610202after hearing the three first albums for the first time, I really enjoyed Late Registration and College Dropout way more than Graduation
>>124612510Barry Bonds is good. Drunk and Hot Girls, however, was genuinely his worst track until some of the recent low effort shit on Vultures
>>124610202Worst of the trilogy
>>124612695unironically Jesus Lord and Come to life are some of Kanye's absolute greatestPersonally I don't know what to think of TLOP. Some of it is peak Kanye some of it is trash
>>124610202Good night's my favourite off this one, check out lifestyle off his new album, also check out those unreleased songs after you and passenger/piano, the latter was made during graduation and is better then most of graduation
>>124617505>unreleased songshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzVw7lNItW4
>>124610202Flashing lights is still great
THE ONLY CORRECT RANKING:Old Kanye: Graduation > LR > TCDNew Kanye: TLOP > MBDTF >>> Yeezus > 808s > WTTNu Kanye: Donda > ye > KSG > JIK >>>>>>>>>>>>>> V1 >>> V2
>>124619737>>124615422The excessive vultures hate is corny at this point
>>124610202This album was incredibly mid and a disappointment after his first two. Get better taste.
>>124619737>MBDTF >>> Yeezuswrong
>>124619737Pretty good. I’d go MBDTF >> TLOP > Yeezus and I don’t like Nu Kanye enough to discern but otherwise spot on.
>>124610202"Flashing Lights" is the greatest song ever created in all of human history. So yeah.
>>124619737i see the vision here, personally 808s is my favorite kanye album, despite people seeming to not really like it. it's definitely flawed but i think all of his albums are. Kanye is one of the biggest cases of wasted potential in music history.
>>124626278His career up through TLOP was incredible imo. So that’s a run of just over 12 years - hard to call that wasted potential. He was great for as long of a period as the Beatles were a band
>>124626278>>124626352I will add that his music has been utter dogshit since then but again, a dozen really good years is incredibly rare in popular music.
>>124612695>>124617345Moon, Jonah and 24 are some of the best emotional songs of Kanye's whole career. >Personally I don't know what to think of TLOP. Some of it is peak Kanye some of it is trashNever liked it. Donda in a lot of ways is like TLOP but actually good.
