What's wrong with Taylor guitars? Everyone on here seems to hate them. I like their 12-string 454ce, imo they look the best on the market.

idk. Economy feels like nba euro step, as though you're making huge jumps through water. The picking hand just slows down and syncs up.
The problem for people is that they need to master both hands independently first. Then obviously you have to master them together. Some other styles of guitar playing let you just slop your way through with both hands.

Sisters, I was at the the farmers market the other morning waiting for gc (guitar center) to open, and was absolutely taken aback by the sheer amount of thick juicy hunks. I'm talking arms oiled UP. Like bands of hot iron, leaning by a table of carrots and beets. And the coy smiles, my GOSH. This intellectual type piece of meat came up to me, and sisters, I couldn't even breath. He was wearing thigh high black fishnets, cut off plaid skinny jeans, a white mesh tank top and a tasteful clear vinyl bomber jacket with a motor head pin on the lapel. He had a Honey-Tone portable amp on his waist, and an Epiphone Mandobird plugged into it. He was resting between songs. He must have been hired entertainment for the market. I walked up to him and he was acting aloof as he tuned the mandobird. I said I was absolutely struck by his powerful look and punk rock asthetic. He kind of breathed out sharply and said, "Punk rock how? How am I punk rock? Like GG Allen? I'm Lou Reed, huh? Like I'm here to offend you? What the fuck is so punk rock about me?". I realized I offended this hunk who could rip me in half any way he wanted to... And I never felt more safe. As I tried to apologize, he kept interrupting me by saying" huh, huh, huh?" and clapping his hands loudly whenever I blinked. I was crying and walked away to gc (guitar center) across the parking lot. I turned to look back and he was pointing and laughing at me and high fiving the other people around him. I knew I had to have him.

Damm this is some good smut. Very tasteful erotica. Something alot of music journalists just don't get. Needs to be tasteful. The articles in rolling stone and other similar publishers never quite get it right. You know that feeling of excitement leaving your drink at a bar hoping someone will spike it but they never do? The forlorn yearning for danger in a room with good lighting that highlights your cheekbones and you can't tell if the bass is making the floor vibrate or if someone put extasy and research chemicals into your gin and tonic again... Oh well, it's only rock and roll.

What's the most minimalist option for a string input for my DAW? Not even necessarily a guitar-like input.
Ideally I'd literally just want some strings with some pickups, over a smooth piece of plastic that I can use as a slide fretboard. And I guess I could make this myself, as in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqNC0IbJGNk
But that seems like kind of a pain - is there a premade option for this? The closest I'm aware of is a silent guitar.

Hey uh, gay question but does anyone know of a guitar solvent cleaner that actually smells nice.
My old Ibanez guitar case always smelled like vanilla from the polish/solvent used in on the guitar out of the factory, it was actually good.
But the Dunlop solvent cleaner I use now fucking stinks like hairspray or some shit.
>>
>>128685002
most people believe that is actually the adhesive used to build the case causing that smell
>>
You're all retarded.

After starting guitar earlier this year I've come to the conclusion I might be an acoustic fag.
I only have an electric but most of my practice is on chords. I'm going to get a nice acoustic when I have the money.

Clean electric guitars inherently sound like absolute dogshit. A hollow body maybe can be alright but a steel string acoustic is by default a million times more beautiful than the garbage that a magnetic pickup excretes. Distortion is a cool gimmick which is integral to many styles of music that emerged in the last hundred years but it's still nothing but a parlor trick in the grand scheme of music & human culture.

Has nothing to do with the sound but I prefer working on chord progressions, singing and just playing chords which is more the job of an acoustic.

>>128684175
I could probably carry 4 if the adrenaline is pumping, I’ve definitely game planned it haha. To give a straight answer though, probably my old MIM Strat that’s painted like a whore. It has the most sentimental value, everything else is fairly replaceable. The 2025 Jap Jag and JMs would be the next round of choices. That’s one upside to playing mid grade, semi modern guitars, you can replace them if you can afford it and I could and would.

There are three types of Vocaroo posters:
>Tryhards who think they’re better than they actually are, can’t take criticism
>Shredders who are actually good but also are chill
>People who just have fun posting fun guitar parts, they’re easy to make fun of but also they laugh at themselves
Two of these are fun to listen to and fun to banter with, one of these are challenging to listen to but extremely fun to make fun of. There are examples of all three in this thread.
