It was a challenge on tiktok, and probably a lot of these kids' first foray into experimental music. Hell maybe concept albums as a whole. It'll bring up some complicated feelingsI don't love that it popularized listening to it in one full stretch though, I definitely think it works better listening to each stage (each modeled after an LP/double LP)
it's ambient for people who don't like ambient, it comes with an easy story purpose-built to make the idea of listening to ambient music explainable to normies
