After a Summer-less holiday since our Spring Babby Cup exit, sign-ups are open again it's almost time for /n/ to get back in the cockpit again and to hopefully rack up those jet hours in the upcoming 2024 4Chn Autumn Babby Cup. But even more importantly it's also time for our annual full roster poll in the link at the bottom. >What is this?This is a COM vs. COM football tournament on PES 17 with team exports built, custom player models designed and live managed by users from every 4chan board. The cup normally runs four times a year and has been going since 2011. Normally there are two 'babby cups' for the lower ranked and new or returning teams and two 'elite cups' for the top ranked teams in a promotion and relegation system of the top and bottom 16 finishers. The Autumn 2024 tournament is the second 'babby' tournament and final cup of this year's divegrass season with the chance to promote to the Winter 2025 'elite' cup.>I haven't seen this for a while, or before how are /n/ doing?In Spring we stayed in the babbies after a heavy defeat against /vp/ then beat /vmg/ but needed a win against /his/ to promote and went out the cup to an injury time winning goal for them. We finished in 23rd place of 32 teams and will likely be playing in the Autumn Qualifiers before the cup proper unless there is a 40 team 'megababby' which is a possibly as quite a few teams are likely to return.On another note too, it's with regret to announce that our longest serving manager, Vaughan, retired during the offseason after racking up an incredible 4000 days with team /n/, one of the longest manager stints in the history of the 4chn Cup. As a team we wish him all the best and are grateful for all the years of >fun leading the team to our first ever cup title, two runner-up finishes, a third place trophy and most importantly, three wooden spoons. I did think about referencing the Baltimore bridge crash but it’s too much a flavour if the month thing to last more than a cup or two so decided against it. >>2018540Lot of the original guys aren't around any more now save from a few but the whole thing is still alive and well just over 13 years since it first started. As a team we're close to hitting our 13th anniversary in February, so it's something to celebrate if we can make the elite cup next year running around then. But most importantly, we outlived /o/ who died during the offseason, Once again, the cagers take an L from us.

The same with /gag/ who was probably our stand-out best player of the tournament and in some of the offseason freindlies and meme matches too. In the latter we beat the cagers in a for fun match for teams that failed to advance from the group stage.
Now there's a few responses in I'm going to close the roster poll at some point early tomorrow evening Euro time so by tomorrow night the new /n/ roster for Autumn 2024 will be unveiled for the first time.
We've hit five responses so I'm closing the poll at this point. One unfortunately failed the verification questions so of the four that counted the individual player results are in *pic related*. New player suggestions:>Boeing failures, space transport and Boeing mission, state of public transport>boatpill, /mg/ rep, bike buying thread rep>Space Transportation thread or Boeing failures>Chinese CarbonPublic Transhit is going to be returning for the first point. There's also going to be a space transportation/Boeing rep joining and for the third, a maritime rep was suggested last year too so I'm going to not give /mg/ a rep as we have enough generals on the roster, but make a new player that covers boats/shipping. I think there's already enough bikes and Chinese Carbon is sort of half represented by Steel is Reel and $100 Chinese e-bike. Suggestions on returning former players: >Not really, if they were voted off in the past they weren't worth keeping?>bring back hipster fixie, airport general or public transhit, also make skyking a gold agian>not really>FRED, Sheldon BrownHalf the responses are opposed to reviving players but I'm going to take a middle ground and revive Public Transhit as something like it was suggested for new players and it was voted off last year's roster before it was really established as a player. FRED is a close runner-up but will not be returning for now. Airport General's thread died and /gag/ has replaced it on the team. Sheldon Brown is too archaic to consider returning, but is still our team manager in spirit. Hipster Fixie is a team legend but his era is over really after slowly slipping from medal status to the bench then retirement.. Skyking won't be returning to a gold as WE GAAN is now the main forward and still has unanimous support as a gold, but there is potential in a future poll he may return to a medal again with almost enough votes to be in the starting XI.

Perhaps auspicious as F40PH scored our goal of the tournament last Autumn.
