Would a 3rd gen Ford Econoline make a good daily driver for somebody who hauls shit a lot? I don't care much about fuel cost.
>>
>>19851865
Its a rape van,so yeah
>>
>>19851865
What do you haul?
Roofied women and kids?
>>
>>19851865
>I don't care much about fuel cost
you will
>>
>>19851868
>>19851896
Very funny.
>>19851900
I'm guessing it gets between 10-16 or so. That's manageable for me.
>>
>>19851865
why dont you get a pickup from that era?
>>
Just get one of these.
>>
>>19851907
My mom has a '94 with the 351, it gets 9-11mpg.
>>
>>19851999
Because trucks are abused and worshiped by degenerate hicks here. Almost all of them are beaten to shit and listed at ludicrously high prices. There's a little boomer man down my street that's selling his old van for just $1500 with 110k miles on the odometer.
>>
>>19851865
sure if you like having ZERO FUCKING STEERING FEEL and like having your transmission shit the bed constantly and you like replacing the heads cause the engine shits out its spark plugs everyday.

go for it.
>>
>>19852070
Do these things have defective transmissions? Which part of the system has issues?
>>
>>19852084
>has ford ever made a good transmission
no.
>>
>>19852093
That doesn't answer my question.
>>
>>19852099
they have issue with slipping.
>>
>>19852135
Couldn't be any worse than the 4L60-E I had in my old C1500. And even it wasn't as bad as people say.
>>
>>19852063
go for it, but remember everyone will think you're a rapist or at least weird. if you dont care about that that sounds like a good deal
>>
>>19852070
>windsor shitting plugs
>c6/e4od crapping out

Try again?
>>
>>19852070
come back when your opinion isn't based on memes retard
>>
Full size vans are great if you do van stuff

If you dont do van stuff they are pretty fucking terrible.
>>
>>19852063
Most vans are even more beat to shit... But if you know of a good one, go for it I guess. They are a pain to work on
>>
>>19852924

>pain to work on

Not really. Especially if you have ever worked on a 4th gen fishmaro, V6 probe, even my fucking half ton ram and is a pain to get to anything on the back half of the engine where if you pull off the dashboard clips to get to the engine on a full size van you can practically hug the whole engine if you remove one front seat which is easy as fucking pie.
>>
>>19851865
that or a ram van. which ever has the most space
>>
>>19851865
yes
>>
>>19852063
A truck is either used for work or used as a mall crawler. A van is 100% of the time used for work. That's 100k miles with 90 000 engine idle hours as the boomer chain smoked in it.
