Why does my (1 cylinder) engine have a weird knocking/tapping noise now at idle? I just had the top rebuilt and had a new piston ring installed because low compression. My hard starting is gone and everything runs so much better now, except for the new noise. I'm not sure if something is wrong or it's the default idle sound because I've only had this bike for around 1000 miles. Or is it something that's supposed to go away after break-in?
