What do you think of quads and buggies?
>>
Based and redpilled, simple as
>>
Anything off-road is cool
>>
>>28125889
They're cool machines. Rednecks absolutely LOVE them but also urban youths. I think that's what I like most about them, the diversity they encompass. Polaris ESG score must be sky high.
>>
>>28125889
Them and snowmobiles are consistently the highest cause death and injury in my region
>>
Quads are awesome in the sand.
UTVs are great around the ranch. The long travel turbo models are like liter bikes, you need to have some restraint or you're going to eat a tree or end up on your lid.
"With age comes a cage". I thought the utv would be a good substitute for the dirt bike, that I'd be able to take my femoid with me and still get some thrills but it's not the same. Dirt bikes are still king if you want a hair raising thrill ride, but a golf cart that does 80 down dirt roads is a decent second place. They'll both mangle you if you get too frisky.
>>
>>28125889
usg
>>
>>28125889
Quads are gay, RZRs are fun but dirt bikes are most fun but also filter people because they take skill and you have to be fit to ride one
>>
Too fat for dirt bikes
>>
>>28125889
They're ok. But why get one of these instead of a dirt bike/dualsport? They probably have an easier time getting through mud, but that is their only real advantage. Much less fun to ride. Much gayer. I guess you can take your kiddos on it easier if you're a boomer. But other than that... why? You're too much of an uncoordinated goofball to ride a bike?

The machines themselves are great, the problem come from those who rent them.
>>
>>28125889
4x4 quads are for fat faggots to drunkenly idle around on
side by sides are for fuckin old people
if you want a side by side you should get pic instead but you wont because low or no T
if you want a quad youd get a quadzilla/banshee equivilent and not a big fatass honda foreman like a whiskey tango drunk faggot would

>>
>>28126267
They're too fat and out of shape to ride dirt bike. That and you cant blow your bro on a dirt bike.

This is what replaced horses in traditional cattle management and they are also popular with street gangs and military organizations.

So your modern cowboys some of them have ATVs instead of horses, my country cousins have these and one impaled his rib cage on the bars, hit a ridge and went over the top, gotta be safe.
>>
>>28126356
what hurt me is that the majority of consumers want a gaywad golf cart 4x4 that can only go like 40mph
>>
>>28125889
I don't think about them at all here in suburbia, but I'm sure they're great if you're a farmer or a country boy.
>>
>>28126409
So they should get a sigma male cool bros club golf cart instead

Completely different applications.
If I'm out in the desert just having fun I'll take a KX250.
If I'm putting around my property and need to go look at the creek and see if beavers have fucked it up again ill take a 4wd quad.
After a storm I'd rather take a glorified golf cart around with the chainsaw to cut up logs instead of the pickup.

RR was a mistake

There's a reason RR dominates the sand.

I will always see aircooled rails the same way I look at custom minibikes, looks cool but it's not the real deal.
>>28127244
also are you sure pic isnt a 4.3 because those were probably more commonly swapped than sbc ive seen dozens of them but almost never sbc
>>
Random pic, didn't pay it much attention.
We built some 350"s when customers wanted them but we preferred the buick/rover aluminum V8.
>>
Air cooled has many advantages.
When you're in rugged terrain and don't have to worry about a blown coolant line it can be the difference between life and death.

And yes. I still feel guilty about all the corvairs we stripped and sent to the crusher.

im too retarded to do cad or draw up schematics but this frame is exactly what I want, the only alteration I can think of is possibly having leafsprings and not a solid mount rear axel which im asuming it has.
I have no idea what it'd cost to have a shop fabricate it
>>
>>28125889
Started off as a cool thing for the youth to own. Now the prices are so crazy only middle aged men buy them new.

Pretty cool.

It's just a risk that is inherent to the activity. Also attracts a lot of people who think they're invincible.
>>
>>28127260
Thise are actually extremely dangerous.
They flip easily because they're so light.
They're good on beaches but that's about it.
>>
>>28127285
I dont care I want to do fat wheelies on the street.
>>
Fun af
Got nice light Honda 250
And heavy 1986 Honda 350

Sowell was right about rednecks and urban blacks having a common origin in the post-reconstruction south.

Quad for the utility for me. I would like a bike but pulling a trailer of tools is necessary.

They are too loud and should be electric already, especially out in the woods. And were I live they ride them in the city with the high beams so used to think they were cool but these days no so much.
>>
>>28129322
you were a fag then for ever thinking they were cool and a fag now for shilling electric
>>
>>28129433
I could see electric being a good choice for a hunter that doesn't want to disturb nearby deer and is going from point A to point B, sitting in a deer stand, freezing his ass off for 6 hours then driving back to point A.
But I would NEVER take some electric out to the desert and just head off in a random direction for the day.
>ride for 2 hours through a valley

God damn I miss my Banshee. I rode it enough to wear out two transmissions and 3 engine rebuilds. Dune riding, trail riding, dirt roads, just saying fuck it and going exploring. Honestly the funnest time of my life was my Banshee days. Switched to a dirt bike after the Banshee got destroyed in a car wreck (it was in the bed of my truck), but it just isn't the same. I don't have that confidence I had on the Banshee from tens of thousands of hours of riding. I need to find another one.
>>
>>28130965
hunters are in the "nigger retard woman" buying demographic.
>>

There a ~36 mile multi-purpose trail here in Louisiana, open to horses, hikers, cyclists, and ATV’s. It’s specifically closed to ATV’s from January 1st until May 1st. I’m that time, I hike it 3 or 4 times. When I was leading a hiking MeetUp group I was going every weekend.

Without fail, we’d see people on ATV’s. It was usually one or two small groups. There’s no way it was done by accident. Every trailhead is very clearly marked with temporary signage.

I hear ya bro.
Tried to find a replacement banshee recently, something clean with a big bore kit, fmf pipes and long travel kit.
Looking at $10k.
Finding a clean-ish stock bike to build is still $7k.
And unfortunately i traded the desert for the forest so it's far from ideal for this terrain and I can't justify the price for something I can't use properly.

So I decided to build a long travel, 4wd 1L 4 stroke version of how I imagine the banshee would have evolved as the user base got older.

Yeah it's nuts how expensive they have become. I'm just addicted to 2 stroke power bands, 4 stroke quads are fun but I like that peaky high RPM power.

Most of my riding on my Banshee was in the woods cause that's what my local options are. It works pretty well, just gotta keep your speed up for steep sections since it's not 4wd. It's nice that it's light enough that you can just pick it up and move it around if you get into really tight spots.

Why are there no highway legal quads? They've gotta be safer than bikes, right?
>>
>>28133383
it kindof stems from the 3 wheeler ban where they cite the non differential rear axel to be unsafe although I dont think itd make a flying fuck difference locked or unlocked as far as safety for quads.
I think suzuki or yamaha released a open diff 3 wheeler and thatd have saved the image of 3wheelers and quads all the way up untill kids started getting killed on the fast ones in the late 90s

its so wild to me that slipknot only wrote 1 good song and the only people who know about it were people who had offroad fury 3.

>>

some places allow them in slower speed roads. arizona i think
>>
>>28133464
I think I had 2,3 and a couple mx vs atvs so I don't remember I just know one of the atv offroad fury games had duality in the intro movie and I think i twas 3.
>>
Where I lived they’re all stolen and then used by methheads from the reservation to go around doing break-ins daily, until they’re too hammered and crash.
>>
>>28133383
>safer then bikes
Lol no. How often do you hear about people getting crushed under bikes after crashing compared to ATVs??
