I'll make this post for the hundredth time but no one will care because it's more entertaining to perpetuate memes than it is to learn facts.The reason you don't see them is because of production issues. Nissan full halted production 3 times for supplier/parts/manufacturing issues. Only 2000 cars even made it to North American shores in the first 2 model years. I believe theyre on track to sell 4000 in 2024, which is still less than the 6000 Supras sold after launch, but more than the 2500 Supras sold the last 2 years.But no obviously it's just a flop and no one wants it. That's the more engaging agenda.
I’ve always been a Z fan, have had multiple ones in the family over the years and currently drive an S30 and love most of them until after the z32 which just killed it for me.When I was looking for a newer car, the Z wasn’t even on my radar, it’s gotten too expensive for what you get and there’s more competition in the bracket they’re positioning themselves. Plus it doesn’t look great from most front angles.I’ve also only seen 1 (one!) on the road, ever which is just astonishing to me. A V8 has a better exhaust sound for sure but they lack personality. Turbos have so much more character. You get a tune and an exhaust and you can hear the turbo whistling and the pops and crackles and a bov even though I'm not personally a fan of them. They just appeal to that kid in your heart playing NFSU back in the day and watching FnF. And being able to unlock 50hp with a USB is cool too

First and most obvious is the bad manufacturing issues that lead to both MSRP increases and dealership increases. the biggest issue is that the car was made specifically to capitalize on the supra being an initial disappointment, but released when people stopped worrying about the b58 and Toyota added a manual to the supra.

I gave this car serious consideration at the time of launch. My dealership had a white Nismo, 15k over MSRP, no test drive, they didn’t even let me into the car. I got into the non-Nismo, the interior was shit, I got a slightly used Hellcat manual and no regrets.
