If I were to replace the bike it would be with a worse one because it's such a great all rounder and I can afford to be less comfortable. I'd suggest the Z900RS as i'm a fan boy and you can get loads used now and there's a huge aftermarket, but Honda have solid gold on their hands with the CB1000.

if you're looking at cardo or whatever and want something that uses your existing baofeng/quensheng+ radio instead of bluetooth mesh or cell signal, check out the rugged radios bt2. It comes with a PTT for your handlebars and you can use the radio while listening to music from your phone

The material science and CAD design is better now so structural parts are thinner and lighter now. The analog things became digital and lighter.So why bikes are heavier?
