Hi /o/ I have recently bought my first car and was looking for some input on advice that I have been given. While driving several people have made comments about me using cruise control within the city limits of my semi-urban city. I do not understand why this is somewhat of a taboo as it is an aid for speed control and if I need to cut it off there are multiple fast and simple ways to do so. Any other advice is welcome as I am a fairly new driver in a world that requires you to be able to.

Is it adaptive cruise control? Regardless most people think cruise control is more work than relief in the cities as you constantly need to brake and switch lanes regardless. Also if you're an inexperienced driver, you should learn to control speed with the pedal first and foremost.

I see no issue. Tell em to mind their own fuckin business.

probably better for you to learn throttle control
i've seen way too many drivers these days that treat the throttle like an on/off switch.

If you're not either accelerating or braking 99 percent of the time then you're slow and therefore a bad driver

This.
You HAVE to be pressing at least one pedal at all times.

Yeah and if you get bored with the 2 big ones make sure to mash the small one on the left to do a cool trick

I don’t know how to use cruise control, so good thing I never have to use it.
