If Kia sold a Sportage N with the v6 from the Carnival and the limited slip diff from the Elantra N they would sell every one they make. Are you reading this, Kia?
>>
chevy sold a fwd v6 "blazer" for years and no one bought it
it needs to be rwd or it won't work or even then, why would the jeets who buy these shitty econoboxes opt for a more powerful engine, for what?
>>
>"sport" version of a shitty cuckover
No.
>>
>>28708512
>sport
OP is merely suggesting adding a V6 to a mid size crossver
That should be the fuckin standard
>>
>>28708515
The N line is the sport version of Kias.
>>
>>28708511
cuz the interior was trash and the price was still high regardless
>it needs to be rwd
compromises interior room
>>
>>28708520
It doesnt matter what it's called, i'd buy a "sport" version of a shitty cuckover simply because it offers the bare minimum.
>>
>>28708529
There's no shortage of room in a cuckover anon. That argument only holds water for sub-compact econoboxes.
>>
>>28708532
>There's no shortage of room in a cuckover anon
the rwd genesis g70 has 34 inches of rear legroom i think the kia sportage has like 40
rwd inherently reduces interior space
>>
>>28708542
>comparing a sedan to a cuckover
Oh, I see. You're just retarded.
>>
>>28708563
sorry, sigh, gv70
i meant the compact SUV, not the sedan
>>
>>28708507
>If Kia sold a Sportage N with the v6 from the Carnival and the limited slip diff from the Elantra N they would sell every one they make. Are you reading this, Kia?
Do the parts fit together? If so, just do it yourself. Engine swaps are pretty common when a company doesn't want to make your special snowflake car.
You can just get an old....
Oh, I see your problem Kias don't last long enough to make an engine swap worthwhile. Why do you want a special snowflake kia when it'll be non op in just a few years?
>>
>>28708611
>Do the parts fit together?
I feel like they should, given that the Kia Carnival is built on the same platform as the Sportage, and has he v6.
>If so, just do it yourself.
I'm a wrenchlet.
>>
>>28708951
>I'm a wrenchlet.
If you refuse to learn how to lefty loosey righty tighty, than you're going to have to pay a mechanic for their time.
Get to it. Nobody else has your taste in short lived cars being modified. Also take pics.
>>
>they would sell every one they make
if they made 25, sure
>>
>>28708507
>sitting there and actually spending time and mental fortitude thinking up conceptual Kia models
Get some help.
>>
>>28709320
Not just conceptual Kia models, conceptual Kia cuckovers.
It's not even the first time he's done this:
https://archive.4plebs.org/o/thread/28508798/
>>
>>28709320
I spend tons of time thinking about conceptual cars. I'm so surprised Kia has made no effort to update their non-electric N line
>>
they would sell thousands
>>
>>28709886
True, but only because it's not economical to produce a trim level in smaller numbers. They'd sit on dealers lots forever until they were sick of looking at them, and 99.9% of those thousands would be sold at extreme discounts that cause the company to actually lose money.
>>
>>28709890
wrong, people love cheap performance
as long as the ride wasn't too rough - (not too big wheels, not too harsh a ride)
and the price wasn't too stratospheric - they would be bought out - look at demand for civic type r and such
>>
>>28709902
The Civic Type R and Civic Si, combined, accounts for less than 5% of Civic sales. That's fine when the Civic is so high volume, but few models have such success.
>>
>>28709902
No one, I repeat, no one except you, wants a "performance" version of a shitty cuckover. You are mentally ill.
>>
>>28709910
they sell everyone they make, and they often are sold at a markup
the market has pent up demand for affordable performance in a NON EV package
competition is scarce
and people love SUVs

>>28709911
you'd be surprised - again as long as it's not too extreme it doesn't need to ride harshly
it should mainly be about the engine upgrade
>>
>>28709915
A shitty cuckover is still not an SUV, and your gooktrash garbage will never have the draw that AMG or ///M do to attract sales of their "performance" cuckovers.
>>
>>28708507
Upgrading a cuck box to the small v6.

The people who buy this don't care. They want more screens and bigger rims.
>>
>>28709922
>semantic argument

>>28709924
3.5 liters is on the larger side for a v6 they tend to max out at 4 liters
>>
>>28708511
a v6 can't fix that shitty interior.
>>
>>28708507
>The V6 from the Carnival
In markets where they sell both engines, the diesel outsells the V6 by a ratio of 20:1.
>>
>>28709947
I assume in those markets diesel is a cheaper fuel.
>>
>>28709915
Giving consumers what they want isn't a good idea if what they want is stupid.
>>
>>28709949
It's about the same. It used to be more expensive but it became a bit cheaper in the last few years.
But the diesel engine uses 6.5 L/100km while the V6 uses 9.6 L/100km. Anecdotally the diesel is much closer to the claimed figure, too.
>>
They’d sell none of them as absolutely no one buying a Kia crossover cares about what engine is in it
>>
>>28710570
oh yeah they do
the smoothness of a v6 and the low end torque is just what Kia needs in a smaller car
>>
>>28710579
I wish I had a v6!
>>
>>28709902
>people love cheap performance
people love cars that transport them from A to B uneventfully
If they could close their eyes and magically appear at their destination they would
>>
>>28711537
>If they could close their eyes and magically appear at their destination they would
that's true, but in the meantime I think a lot of Americans would also value having a smoother more potent mill in a non lux car
>>
>>28710579
It’s not the 90’s anymore gramps.
Modern economy cars are so refined no one but auto journalists are going to notice a difference in NVH between a 4 and 6 cylinder.
>>
>>28712842
lolno that's total bullshit the engine in the Sportage is rough as fuck.
>>
>>28712855
The entire car is rough as fuck because it's a piece of shit that no one buys unless it's the only thing they can afford, or they're the one specific anon (you) that has an autistic obsession with it.
>>
>>28712874
its really not that bad, the engine being rough and underpowered is the worst part (the second worst being the feel-less steering)
>>
>>28713411
>its really not that bad
>c'mon, agree. My boss is coming.
You're doing a heckuva job.
>>
>>28713725
job?
>>
>>28714532
Yes Shill-kun, you're really earning your $0.75 per day!
>>
>>28714647
i wish i were paid
>>
>>28714653
You mean you're not!? You're just this obsessive about a shitty cuckover that not a single other person on the planet gives a fuck about because you're autistic!?
