No its fun but my experience is the same.
After ~10 years you notice the negatives a lot more.
Then you get road rage on a motorcycle.
Road rage on a motorcycle will get you killed.
You lose sight of the positives getting stuck behind a left lane hog or something.
So you drop a gear and go like 50 over on the shoulder, and other weirdly risky shit.
>>
>>28729439
Growing up is realizing that motorcycles do not belong on public roads. Go to a track or stick to cars
>>
>>28729485
On the contrary, mass adoption of motorcycles is inarguably the only thing that can possibly significantly reduce traffic congestion while (unlike bicycles, walking, or public transit) maintaining maximum liberty in personal transportation. Not to mention the added fuel efficiency, lower maintenance costs, easier storage.

If anything, cars should be much more tightly regulated and taxed to pay for the damage and congestion they cause.
>>
your kids are going to work at culver's for the rest of their lives because youre gonna get permanently paralyzed by a squirrel crossing the road and crashing
>>
>>28729485
shut up nigger
>>
>>28729494
It'll never happen. There are places where winter exists
>cars should be much more tightly regulated and taxed to pay for the damage and congestion they cause.
I think trucks should be limited to commercial use only. But no more regulation than that, and I would only be okay with that because it would make truck fags have a conniption
>>28729523
Motorcycles aren't even the problem. Cars have always had trouble seeing motorcycles and now that every car has a massive iPad that forces you to take your eyes off the road for 10 seconds to fuck with the climate controls and other basic functions that could once be done without looking, it's even worse
>>
>>28729525
>I think trucks should be restricted
So nobody could ever get anything done without government permission is what you're saying?
Because that's fucking retarded
Welfare causes traffic congestion
I won't elaborate because I shouldn't have to
>>
>>28729534
No im saying---in anons scenario where cars cause so much congestion that they should be taxed and regulated more heavily---that if you don't use a truck to haul shit you shouldn't have one. But yes trucks are blue collar work vehicles, no self respecting white collar worker should be in one
>>
>>28729540
People should drive whatever they want, that they can afford - and everyone else should mind their own goddamn business.
The nannying and moralfaggery around trucks or sports cars is weapons grade reddit garbage.

I like riding motorcycles until traffic/population gets to a certain level, then it becomes more about not dying than enjoying the ride. It seems most people agree because as the population here has increased I've been seeing fewer motorcycles on the road.
>>
>>28730101
really the only way to enjoy having a motorcycle is traveling backroads and avoiding city limits.

>>
>>28731200
so imagine a roller coaster but they forgot to strap you in and it’s also screaming at you
>>
>>28731200
it is and it isn't
at first it is (my first time on a motorbike I wondered if I were speeding ... meanwhile the speedo showed me going about 10 mph) because you aren't used to it, and you get so much more sensory stimulation than in a car
After a while it becomes mundane unless you're doing crazy shit (which is always a rush), although even if you're just croozing to work and back, it's always more stimulating than being in a car. That's why I'd ride to work, because I was so sleep deprived I'd fall asleep on the highway if I took the car.

Dailying a motorbike ... frankly sucks if it's raining. You can't carry much unless you bring a backpack or saddlebags, and you're always left with the question of where you put your gear (helmet, jacket (if you're wearing one), gloves, etc) when you're off the bike and shopping or something. I usually carry my helmet in and use it like a small shopping basket, or you can leave it on the bike) but the ride is more connected to the environment; there's a certain catharsis involved.

One big point: freedom. Partly, it's the connection to the environment. You're not hemmed in by walls and windows. Part of it, is traffic. Nothing can stop a determined motorcyclist. If you're willing to break rules, zoom between cars, ride on the footpath, whatever, then you can at any moment choose to ignore traffic and road rules. I very rarely do, but I like knowing that at all times I have the option. A little bonus: you can change lanes whenever you like basically. The limit is your willingness to be polite, if you want to, you can shove yourself into any lane at nearly any time.

Wow. Color me surprised. I may be white but those jews are onto something when they call you things golems
>>
>>28734267
bruh.
the point i was making is that you shouldn't buy a car you cannot afford.
i.e. you make 50k a year, don't go out and buy a car with a $1.2k monthly payment.

other than that, buy and drive what you want. it's no one elses business. People seething over trucks or sports cars as 'conspicuous consumption' are cunts.
