Looking to fit two in a tent and the toucan seems good but it also seems like they just slapped motorcycle on the nametag to charge $500 for it

I went to a race school, rode a ratty 150 and the front tire was beyond fucked up, the shoulders dip down then flatten to the edges, like a bell curve. It only steered with very exaggerated counter steering, and when leaned over and given some gas it stood up and almost threw me off. I hopped on a r3 after and it steered like a dream compared to that

realistically, probably not
when camping, be it backpack or moto, you generally want to assume that any tent is really -1 person, because of your gear
1man tents are always cramped, so most people I know will get a 2berth because it almost perfectly fits them+gear
pic rel is the toucan, and unless youre sleeping with your wife or gf, and the both of you are 5'5 and 50kg, youre probably gonna have a hard time fitting the both of you + gear + cooking equipment, and in the pic their helmets and boots are both outside

for the price of a toucan, you could probably honestly get 2x2 berth tents+sleeping mat+bag from fb marketplace or an outlet store, giving both of you plenty of room and space as well as much better options to pack down, since wingmans are basically just a huge roll

wingmans have their place, but not really for shared sleeping

125 is the beginner motorcycle category in EU. With a small side note: it literally exists for 16yo kids to prevent them from speeding and going onto a highway because 125cc can't keep up with trucks speed for longer than a couple of minutes. That's why everyone who suggests a motorcycle with less than 300cc to a beginner is a third worlder without highways (jeets, pakis and sea in this particular thread) or a kid.

He is not a jeet, I'm the jeet. We don't have MT125, we only have MT15 and MT03. MT15 sells crazy numbers and MT03 doesn't sell at all. In this segment, I think D390 sells more units.

I've been feeling really sad about selling my motorcycle lately. I felt so embarrassed and ashamed for crashing three times in three years, it just sort of felt like I couldn't trust myself to do it safely even though I loved it. But it's been making me really upset these days, it's hard to give up something you love. I keep thinking of ways to get back at it, but if I crashed a fourth time I don't even know what I'd do. It's not like I was irresponsible, I just made stupid mistakes all three times. I've taken the MSF and the Advanced RiderCourse.

unfortunately that's not right anon, france and luxembourg for example won't give you full A even if you are 30: you need to have A2 for a year or two before they let you upgrade to full A.
I learned first hand that stuff like licenses, how to get them and even mandatory inspections on vehicles are only "technically" uniformed trough europe but they vary a lot in some cases.
For example in italy you only need a quick pratical exam if you have a normal car driving license, other places require you to take another written test before that and have stricter more complete tests. belgium still limits you with a learner badge and you have some temporary limitations (like you can't have a passenger with you for a bit after you got your license)

In Spain you need to get your A2 license, and wait 2 years till you can get the unrestricted A license. And the A2 is actually hard to get because you need tp pass a theory exam, a closed circuit and a driving test in open roads

My gear shift lever flew off while riding leading me to get stuck in 5th gear while 40 miles away from my destination. I ended up having to start it in 5th gear repeatedly until I could find a place to stash it, I ended up having to leave it in this woods next to someone's house clearly visible from a road but its a white neighborhood so hopefully it's good untul i can replace the lever tomorrow How fucked am I bros
>>
>>28732937
If it's in the woods then most people will assume it's been stolen and abandoned, and as it's not technically a parking spot the police could very well remove it if someone reports it. Just for one night you'll probably be fine though. Personally I'd much rather leave my bike on the street.

He didn't seem to get it and just bulled on with trying to find me other things to do.
I just go into a different headspace when riding, maybe because I concentrate far more on my surroundings so that it's easier to push away the clouds of thought and just enjoy being out and about. Like I could have slept an hour through the night and still have that mental sharpness or get out of a heated meeting at work with a client and just chill for an hour on my lunchbreak going nowhere in particular.

Tell Mr. Honda they should stop filming shorts
>>
>>28733344
My first time using chatgpt. A concern, as I loathe shorts and LLM's equally.

Dear Mr. Honda,

As a long-time admirer of your work and legacy, I must express a growing concern. Your recent reliance on YouTube Shorts, though trendy, has become a misguided distraction from the core values that made Honda great. These quick, shallow snippets, while momentarily engaging, do little to reflect the depth, craftsmanship, and passion that your brand stands for.

The motorcycle community values authenticity, storytelling, and substance. Shorts, with their fleeting nature, risk diluting your brand’s message and undermining the very essence of what makes Honda motorcycles extraordinary. It’s time to step back and reconsider this approach. Your audience craves more than fleeting clips; they want the rich, meaningful content that Honda is known for.

Please, focus on the long-form, thoughtful engagement that reflects the true spirit of your legacy.

Sincerely,
Random butt-blasted Anon of high providence.

went out for a ride on unmaintained roads on the rez with a couple ktm adv buddies yesterday. there was a quarter mile or so of muddy clay and both of their front fenders got so packed with clay that the wheels locked up. The first real challenge Koguma spends multiple episodes is being able to continue riding through autumn and then winter in Hokuna city. She and Reiko end up doing a lot of shit. There's an episode where she recycles a wool sweater because she cannot afford to buy a midlayer, she and Reiko source second-hand windscreen/fairings, and they also buy handlebar guantlets like they see the noodle delivery people using. It's also why they basically spend every afternoon at the coffee house. She eventually even buys that giant orange one piece winter riding suit as well after she's decided she's become a cool kid afterall.

Treat that like littering. Report that shit as misinformation so that they either label it correctly or it gets taken down.

ABS (switchable) should be on all bikes
>>
>>28733625
That's why they sell it in beautiful yellow, but as a used bike enthusiast, I'd buy the cheaper one.

Should I get a 2009 Suzuki V-Strom DL650 with 85k kms on the clock?
I'm normally a honder fanboy and wanted to get either
a) Transalp 600/650
b) CBF600/1000 and a dedicated CRF for offroad
but i couldnt find good ones near my area
i want to use the bike for everything
city riding, offroading, long distance touring
the CBF can do city and touring, but cant offroad
the transalp cant really do the city comfortably, its too tall, but can do touring and offroad
the V-Strom seems pretty alright at everything, but maybe doesnt excel at anything
would it be a sensible purchase or is it going to suck in the city and leave me bogged down in a forest road

I wish these things would be copied and popularized by chinese manufacturers, because it rains badly whole day but a grandpa was fucking smiling as I saw him riding this thing past my bus.

Why not? If you don't like it you can get your money out of it.

a dirtbike sucks both for long distance touring and short distance city riding, also i hate single cylinder vibrations
no thanks
>>
>>28733812
i don't think that roof can withstand highway speeds
>>
>>28733510
if it looked like this i'd be impressed
>>
>>28733815
You don't think a $50 China Roof won't be indestructible? Thing is, I don't think the ChinaBros do highway speeds, so it's not a consideration. That's why we won't see it from them.
Seems like the Taiwan crowd wear ponchos and these long rain-dresses in the wet.
>>
>>28733825
why does that man have six toes?
>>
>>28733812
Well that's the thing, I don't need chinese "inventions" or chinese "engineering". What I want is a cheap copy of german engineering genius to be popularized, that's it.
>>
>>28733828
He doesn't. Count the toenails. That's the outside edge of the ball of his foot. The pic was taken with a telephoto lens which squashes the depth of view.
>>
>>28733825
Thew rain poncho seems cheap and effective. Though I suspect it might flap around in the wind a bit.

Skinnier tires are better for snow. More weight on a smaller surface area. Doubly so if you have studs
