I know a guy who owns a Ferrari Roma and hes on an anti logo/emblem/badge crusade and he removed every logo etc on the chassis and wheels. The only part (other than shape) where you can clearly tell its a ferrari is on the steering wheel. He sincerely believes showing logos is cucked because youre advertising. Im starting to agree with him what do you guys think. Its not about hiding some sort of trim because its a ferrari and the roma is either coupe or spider with nothing else to add
>>
>>28737008
>pay for the badge
>remove the badge
kek what a retard
>>
>>28737017
Not like he can not pay in first place
>>
Beauty should be evident without a logo
>>
To add to this, imo less logos is classier. The scuderia shields are iconic but do you really need the prancing horse and ferrari logo in the front, a logo on every wheel, a written our ferrari in the back and another ferrari logo in the back. Thats 10 fucking logos on the chassis. Ideally its 2 at most
>>
>>28737018
But he can
>>
>>28737008
Ferrari must be enjoying the free rent inside your buddy's head
>>
>w-what kind of car is that?
MY car
>>
>>28737008
I'll never understand debadging your car. Why pay for a luxury make or trim and just get rid of the badges so no one can really tell what it is
>>
aesthetically de badging an elantra etc, turns it into a lamorghini
but de badging a ferrari? turns it into a concept car
de badging always = upgrade
>>
>>28737062
he explained it already
its tacky
equivalent of a black guy wearing a gucci logo belt
nike shoes with 17 nike swooshes
its vulgar and obvious
>>
I say the less logos the better. Let the car speak for itself. The Roma already has a good design. You dont need ferrari logos to tell you its a quality car. Sleepers are also better
>>
>>28737062
>Why pay for a luxury make or trim and just get rid of the badges so no one can really tell what it is
Low income mindset
>>
The only badge I care for is the one at the front. Front ends look weird without a badge, you expect to see one there so it looks naked without it.

Aside from that, by all means, take all the rest off.
>>
Let me guess it looks like an Elantra?
Shut the fuck up you annoying faggot. You can't "debadge" a Ferrari because you'll get sued by Ferrari for not following their owner's code. Not that you know anything about that because you own shitboxes and this is ANOTHER fucking delusional/fake story wasting space on /o/.
Fuck you.
>>
>>28737008
doesn't ferrari sue you if you do this
>>
>>28737143
Yes, OP is fake and gay and it's a nonsense story posted by the same person who made this thread
>>28737040
For whatever reason they want to pretend that if you debadge a Hyundai Elantra that it looks 'like a Ferrari or Lamborghini' which is just delusional/nonsensical cope.
This same poster has created images with fake text conversations and all sorts of weird cope shit to make people think that for whatever reason a gookshit car is cool.
Spoiler: it does not work because it's a gookshit car.
>>
>>28737137
>>28737143
Ferrari doesnt and cant sue for this people point to the deadmau5 story but the whole thing was because of copyright infringement. You can due anything to a ferrari as long ad you dont hurt their trademark and try to profit off it. They cannot do shit about it other than maybe refusing to do business with you.
Its one of the most common myths about ferrari, they are autistic about their brand but not that bad

>>
>>28737152
You will NEVER EVER own a Ferrari. In the owner's code if ANY of the badges are 'damaged' or 'in any way defaced' it's an immediate tow & repair. You can in some cases have them come to your house to do the repair if the damage is minor, which they will do for free. Debadging the car will get you sued immediately. You'd have to put the badges back on before every maintenance.
>>28737154
Stop posting your gay gookshit car. I hate you and your dumb posts.
>>
>>28737156
There is a factory option to order ferraris without badges you fucking retard
>>
>>28737152
The infamous story is because deadmau5 altered their logo and tried to sell it. Ferrari was 100% justified in acting and every other company would do the same.
Meanwhile theres a ton of modified ferraris out there and nothing ever happened

No they got sued and it just isn't news.
You will NEVER EVER own a Ferrari.

...what's wrong with him? In a Ferrari, part of the charm is the fact that it's a Ferrari, it's got that fucking horse on a yellow background that makes women want to suck you off, that's the whole fucking point.

Nice looking Honda Prelude
>>

I see Tesla owners doing this a lot lately and it’s quite hilarious.
Regardless of who he is, you still willingly gave the guy tens of thousands of your own money. Might as well own up to it.

Its a Roma, no one cares that much.
>>
The shield looks retarded on non-red Ferraris.
Minimal badging is preferred.

So many new cars are heavily badge focused and retarded that even the body panels themselves are designed around the badge itself. Often they just look weird without them.
>>
>>28737062
You are not white lol, you like bmws?
>>
>>28737008
Kinda cringe if its a cheap car.
I do understand it for some cars. Especially those hyundai Ns, they plaster the logo fucking everywhere and it looks so trashy.

why?
>>
>>28737031

Agreed, however, some cars don't look right without a hood badge, most cars can do without the tail logo without looking weird so really 1 is ideal.
>>
>>28737008
>He sincerely believes showing logos is cucked because youre advertising.
Based for modern cars I suppose but on old shitboxes it doesn't matter since you're advertising something that hasn't been made for 45 years
>>
>>28737008
i honestly think with ferrari the badge is part of the design and intentional. it gives it a very slight yellow accent that makes it pop. ferrari is very autistic about the art that goes into their car designs and they wouldnt just not account for something like a badge.
>>
>>28737125
Also most hood badges are inset and mounted through holes, so if you remove them there will be open holes in the hood and an indention in the shape of the logo, it's a terrible idea
>>
>>28739624
Filler or perfect excuse to get a lighter aftermarket hood.
Upgrades people, upgrades.
>>
A badge is not advertising. It's the signature of the manufacturer.
>>
>>28739756
>It's the signature of the manufacturer.
so advertising.
>>
Aesthetically it would just look odd
>>
>>28738070
>ALL FERARRIS MUST BE RESALE RED.
>>
>>28739760
I had this same debate when the NHL started to have ads on their sweaters.
The branding on the sweater made by Adidas was a manufacturer's signature. They created the product, signing it, same as an artist would sign a painting.
The ad slapped on the sweater from a bank as an example, has absolutely nothing to do with the sweater or the daily functioning of the team. They're simply piggy-backing for visibility for nothing more than a ransom.
Ferrari signs their product with their badge. If there was an ad for big black nigger dragon dildos on the car for no other reason that they paid for it to be there, that would be an ad.
>>
>>28739790
ferraris do have that though
>>
>>28737008
i have sent this thread to ferraris lawyers
>>
>>28737008
>He sincerely believes showing logos is cucked because youre advertising.
yeah i'm sure nobody will know it's a ferrari now
>>
>>28737137
>You can't "debadge" a Ferrari because you'll get sued by Ferrari for not following their owner's code.
wrong

>>28737143
no. they were unhappy about deadmaus *modifying* the ferrari name and logo for his own advertising, so they sent him a cease and desist (which isn't sueing)
>>
>>28737156
>In the owner's code if ANY of the badges are 'damaged' or 'in any way defaced' it's an immediate tow & repair.
incorrect. "owner's code" isn't even a thing, retard.
>Debadging the car will get you sued immediately.
incorrect.
>You'd have to put the badges back on before every maintenance.
that's the only thing that might have some sort of truth to it, and that's if you're going to use the dealership.
>>
>>28739760
do you also remove the artist's signature from a painting you bought?
>>
>>28737008
This is like the 2nd debadging thread I've seen from casual browsing here in the past couple days. Who tf is trying to astroturf this trend?

De-badging is GAY AS FUCK! ITS LITERALLY GAYER THAN TWO DICKS TOUCHING. Here's why:

It implies that you are ashamed of the vehicle that you own. You own the car. You sought it out and purchased it. You drive it. And yet, you don't want people to know who made the car? Why? Are you trying to pretend that you made the car? Are you ashamed of the brand, and you only bought the car because it was all you could afford?

It's just weird. Only time debadging is acceptable is if you are removing aftermarket badges. If you bought your car from a dealership, and they have a badge on the vehicle with the name of the dealership, by all means remove it. But removing the factory badges? It just seems gay.

The only other way I can even think about understanding it is if you are adding significant aftermarket modifications to the vehicle which change its appearance. Like yeah if you're putting massive rims on it, a big spoiler, different body panels on to change the look of the car, then yeah, debadging might not be the worst since you have altered it from the manufacturers designs...otherwise though it's just gay

Debadging is just as bad as adding fake badging. Like trying to claim your BMW is an M car if it's not. People who are really into cars will be able to tell it's not a real M car. And if you debadge, people who are into cars will still know what car you are driving. So what's the point?

>>
>>28737008
This is true for clothing but it doesn't make sense for a car, which is distinct by brand to the point that anyone with a passing knowledge of them still knows what brand you're rolling around in.
