How do I find a mechanic who will take his time, treat my truck with respect, and not cut any corners?
>>
>>28738080
You won't, that's why men wrench on their own shit. Might as well start taking your wife to another man so he can fuck her better kek
>>
>>28738082
I just don't have the time or space or wherewithal to buy all the tools and learn to use them.
>>

Find a mechanic near you with good reviews on google maps. It should be a independent mechanic with a small shop. The reviews should be like, "Bill is an honest mechanic."
>>
>>28738080
>muh twuck
>can't work on it himself
>can't drive manual
>can't do physical labour
these niggers

plenty of men would be better at fucking my wife than me

I had a guy who was working under the table, from the garage on his own home, best mechanic I've had the pleasure of dealing with, gave you honest time tables, none of this "I'm sorry, I told you your car was gonna be ready today, but in reality it's gonna be ready tomorrow" bullshit and charged pretty fairly.

His one caveat was that he did not give a single flying fuck. I was picking up my car from him while a dude tried to haggle him "so and so's garage said he will do the job for XYZ dollars" type of haggling, my man didn't even smile, just gave him his keys and said "well, that's wonderful, here's your keys, say hi to so and so for me while you're there" and left him standing there. If you had the misfortune of him having done this to you, you were pretty much done with him forever, he would go cold. Icy cold white bitch trying to get all of her husbands money in the divorce levels of cold.

Sadly enough he ended up moving, from what I know he's still doing the same thing 2 states over, I still haven't found a mechanic as good or as honest and simple to deal with as he was, I would've married that fucking man, homo or not.

Can you read a room well? I can tell if I'll receive shitty service within 15 mins walking into a business.

Americans proving their manliness by doing somenthing that every teenage girl outside of the USA can do will never cease to be funny

It's one of the car guy fundamentals. You don't get to be an enthusiast and drive autos.

>Clearly is an enthusiasts choice in current year
>Not according to/o/ because it's automatic

You read all the reviews for every shop within driving distance and try out the good sounding ones or say fuck it and open your asshole at the dealership.
When the good mechanic retired and sold his shop I chose the asshole route because I'm lucky enough to not be constrained by downtime or money (within reason).

My grandad had a V12 Jag and he didn't believe in oil changes.
>>
>>28738208
>But I buy product?!?!?
Lol clap
>>
>>28738306
Yes, and? I had a mate with a shipped over AE86 that didn't believe in maintenance in general and he managed to somehow marry valves to pistons in a non-interference engine

Look in the mirror.

What's the point of a v12 if you can't control It kek, your gay ass is happy to just make some suggestions to a onboard digital committee of cucks and eco freaks, you see no issue with that, and that's what makes you a true ricer.
>>
>>28738529
It took me a few tries to figure out what the fuck this all meant, but okay, sure.
My daily driver is about as manual and mechanical as a car can be.
To the point that you have to hand crank it to start it when it gets colder because the starter solenoid freezes stuck, but I bet that's rice too.

This is a poorfag take. A real car enthusiast has multiple cars, with autos and manuals. Having only one car for every occasion is poverty-tier
>>
>>28738538
This. You have you own boringmobile Toyota venza daily driver to go to work and be the grocery cart, and you have the weekend car for fun, whether that's a gay-ass corvette or a project car you're building yourself.

Based Patrician take.
A man does not have only one suit.
And a man does not have only one vehicle.

I love to daily drive my "fun" car (Cayman S)
If I had the money I would daily drive a P1 or a Enzo, that's the true luxury for me

Go to a family owned or independent shop where they have incentive to too good work because they need your repeat business

you're retarded. I tried this shortly after having a kid and not having any free time
>send wife there to get her car an alignment
>car comes back with steering wheel cocked 2 degrees to the right
>wife's car gets catalytic converter stolen
>try it a second time spend ~$1900, car now sounds like it has an exhaust leak
>try one last time, my car needs a new alternator
>they offer web quotes, and want $550, and gaurentee the quote for 30 days
>figure they're over charging me a bit and are going to put in shitty remanfuactured parts but i dont have time
>I drive there 2 hours after getting the quote and they refuse to honor it and now want $850
>I ask how, they say they have to pay their employees and its going to take more than 3 hours of labor
>I ask how could it possibly take this long, you take off the serpentine belt, 3 bolts on the alternator, nut for the power cable and unplug the wiring harness
>say entire job should just take 1 hour
>they still refuse to honor their quote
>I say fuck it and end up just doing it myself
The entire industry is full of the most incompetent retards out there
