Give me one reason why I, a 27-year-old with no girlfriend, children, or responsibilities of any kind outside of work, shouldn't get a C7 Corvette Stingray now that I've given up motorcycles.
>>
Because it's not a real Stingray. Buy a C2 or C3.

One reason - it probably won't make you happy. You aren't a race driver, you can't handle a car like that, you can't even handle a Miata and that's true for me and 99% of /o/.

Other than that - if you are buying it cash and can maintain it or can afford to maintain it, and are maxing your 401k and have a 20% downpayment saved up for a house, go for it.

It's a great car, none better really. We will call you the boomer king and you will call us slow.

Because you should get a C6 Z06 instead.

The 2017 Stingray I test drove this morning felt plenty powerful as is, any more and I'll probably lose my license. I'm blown away that such a capable car has been hiding under my nose my whole life. I'm cross shopping Mustang GTs, believe it or not, just because it'd be easier to live with and the aesthetics aren't bad, but they really just don't feel as connected as the Vette.

I didn't really start learning about cars until the last year or so, to me cars were always just a point A to point B thing for when I couldn't ride my motorcycle. All I knew about Corvettes was that my friend's grandpa and he said it was fast.
>>28740609
I'm assuming it was NA, I feel like I'd have noticed the turbo kicking in. It was a CarMax test drive on a car I didn't plan on purchasing (just wanted to get a feel for it), they naturally didn't have a lot of specifics about it.

He was right.

The cope never ends.

GT isn't even close to the same car. The GT is unironically going to lose to the Civic in some cases.

Vette is all around a class above them (and you pay for it)

>>28740586
Not this Vette though. The Civic outright smokes it.

Lmfao I've had a few. I think everyone knows what I was trying to say.
