Should I get a new motorcycle this winter after my clapped out TW200 got stolen or wait for it to pass? I'm used to the cold but I don't want to corrode a brand new bike. I've never ridden during an actual northeast winter can anyone from here tell me how it is?

One of the guys around here built a linear course along a high tension powerline right of way, on the side opposite the energy company tracks. The energy company apparently saw no reason to do anything about it and it was there for years. Eventually I think he moved away and it eroded and grew over without him taking care of it. Is there any way to break in a new helmet faster than simply wearing it? If I heat the lining with a hair dryer before putting it on will that speed up the breaking in process?

I've removed the ear pads and inserted speakers but it's the lining over the top of my ear and around the back of my head that hurts. I experienced the same discomfort when my old helmet was new and I can remember it being uncomfortable for about two weeks. I was hoping that there was a way to speed that up a bit.

Did you buy the wrong size anon? Do not heat your helmet, you will ruin it. Remember it protects you from crashes. If you want ot break it in, use it on rides or wear it around your home because you are a dummy and you bought the wrong size. Maybe tuck your big ears into a balaclava and then wear a helmet so they don't fold and cause pain.

My uncle works for Harley-Davidson, well a local dealer at least. The motor company fucked everyone on that, they reneged on the T-Shirt. He told me they were supposed to come in before Halloween, but they never came. When he had the marketing lead/events planner find out what happened, he said they weren't sending them and acted like they didn't know what she was talking about.
I'm guessing it was too successful. My uncle did 38 test rides that month, our family accounting for 3 of those. That's 39 t-shirts he himself was responsible for, 39 because salesmen were also supposed to get them.
The Bar and Shield probably didn't want to shell out tens of thousands of free t-shirts across the country. It wasn't even that cool, it was just text on the back.
They also were probably betting on people forgetting, which they probably have because my uncle has only had one guy, a regular, come in and ask about it. Honestly, I forgot about it until he was complaining about it.
Not cool considering it makes dealerships look like the asshole when they had no control any of it. They made a promise based off of the multi-billion company's promise and everyone comes out the loser. Except the motor company, they probably did sell an unexpected bike or two off that promotion.

I'll be honest. I'd never buy a chink bike because I'm afraid their engineering traditions forged in fires of "scrap your bike after 13 years" have left some residue to this day, BUT.

Let's say you want to buy something absolutely fucking retarded and crazy. Japan plays it safe, Europe has it, but it's expensive, but China will give you something as silly as a cruisier(?) that looks like a spaceship and uses 700cc inline four.
Is it good? Probably not. Is it well built? I suspect not. Is the service there? If you wait 6 months for parts it's there(as in - nope). You will never find anything similar though(Ducati Diavel for 3 times the price? maybe?). I appreciate that.

Hello anons, title transfer is done, boots have arrived, I have to buy insurance tomorrow, do you insure all the accessories on a GS? I'm new to GS life. All the accessories combined might be worth more than my 300.
>>
Wait did you buy GS 310?

Not that youll do anything besides get smoked by an 18wheeler

I have both G310R and F850GSA. G310R is my first bike and F850GSA is the latest addition. I'm not sure if I should sell the 310 yet.
>>
>>28745471
Of course you should, it will bring a lot of joy for some jeet.

Why they refuse to buy used bigger motorcycles and use their small CC bikes? License limitations?
>>
>>28745469
I doubt it coves gear anon, I've never heard of this. Is this common in your country?
>>
>>28745474
Lol, I'm a jeet in jeetland, I can only sell it to jeets, sure the 310 will bring joy to some jeet. We don't buy large CC bikes because they are prohibitively expensive. There used to over 100% import duty on imported motorcycles. I don't think this is true anymore, but still anything that is not made locally is just too expensive. There is no license limitation here, but IMO, there should be.

>Not that youll do anything besides get smoked by an 18wheeler
This is true, I ride slow, at least I try to when I can.
>>
Anon I need a relatively inexpensive used motorcycle (max. 20yo) for touring onroad, with big windshield, comfy seat and ABS. Do you know any? Please don't suggest getting an ADV.

Finally a helmet with a fully functional HUD display. I always wanted something like this. But also the ability that allows you to see behind you as well.

also no, most tracks dont allow you to have a camera mounted on your bike or helmet, and most in-camera helmets are terrible quality, so theres not much GOOD track content, aside from youtubers doing experience and test days for brands

I guess that era is over now
We have to accept the multitudes before ai creates a deepseek deepwave of fake and gay saturation of information, ads, spoofed people, realfake newsources, and other mysterions of culturewarp induced by the clanker menaces
Death to all ecu, cucks driving globohomos assault on state of mind: state of shoom, state of ssbeoy, ikykyk
This is the end of the road that was fornerly internet exclusivity
Now its newfags introduced into the grandoise evolution of gatekeeping, plus an arrayment of tools like chatbots for translations
Its over
It was over before it even began
But i assure you its gonna get way worse than just onramping 1/3 of india in under 10 years for the first time generational newfags on 4chan, we have more digital dippers headed our way yet, trust and half of them may be faker and gayer than both you and i- oh and that one giy that gets assblasted about op cuck threads or whatever the nobikes name was

Meteor 350, ABS, touring windscreen, cheap as balls and slow as fuck, even cheaper used. Perfect for a 20 year old anon filled with hormones.

If you want a sport tourer, it's a CBR300R or a CBR500R. But I doubt that is cheap.

I like ADVs over cruisers. I'd suggest a small ADV like ADV 390 or Himmy 411 or Himmy 450 over any small cruisers because ADVs are the actual mile munchers.

>>28745539
It's not a serviceable part, at least not easily, you either need to replace it or take it to a specialized place that fixes speedometers.
>>
>>28745569
the part doens't seem to be the problem. it's somewhere on the connection by the clues my friend gave me
>>
>>28745567
You are that jeet, right? Your bike suggestion is skewed towards your local market, which is different in the US and EU.

How hard is soldering a new end on a throttle cable? I don’t want to order custom cables because I need elbows on them and it doesn’t sound like they will do that, and the stock throttle cables won’t work because the threads don’t match the aftermarket throttle housing. All I need to do is cut the end, install the elbows I have off of another pair, and re-solder the brass nipple on. I don't have any experience soldering but it sounds straight forward.

tldr: any advice on making or correctly repairing throttle cable ends?
>>
I want an RZ250. I want to be like Gonda from Shounan Bakusouzoku
>>

I would never trust a solder job on a throttle, clutch, or brake cable

they make cinch on cable stops, and that's what you should use

if youre too cheap to buy crimps and the crimping tool. Use a fishing sinker and a pair of needle nose pliers. You can probably even use a brass crimp for a bow string.

just dont trust your life to solder, we care about you anon

>I would never trust a solder job on a throttle, clutch, or brake cable
Why? I feel like every cable I’ve seen has a brass (or similar metal) nipple soldered with lead/tin. I can’t even find an example on google that would work for a throttle cable, maybe I’m searching it up wrong

I did my air filter a few days ago, bike has almost 100k km but it was the first time I changed it.
More hp and it makes more induction sound at high rpm, guess it was really clogged.
>>
>>28745630
Why not the 350?
>>
>>28745675
iirc correctly they are crimped, then soldered

solder is weak, weaker than the metal you're bonding it to. changes in temperature and humidity will open up cracks in that solder until it fails. solder on a circuit board, go for it. solder for structure? hell no

crimp, then solder it if that makes you feel better. but please just use the crimp kit

nothing is scarier than a cable snapping, while flying down the road or going into a corner

>>28745530
