Hello /o/, forgive me if I make mistakes but I've barely ever lurked on this board and never posted on it. I have a Skoda Fabia II from around 2007, and the radio/media reader (in the picture) doesn't have any modern functionality for phone connection which is terrible because I would like to listen to my music while driving. However, it looks to me like it's not really removable and there doesn't seem to be a slot for an alternative device, so is there any way to remove this thing or is the car stuck with it forever?
>>28956304Swing radio (or any other skoda, or VAG radio) is dead easy to remove, look at any owners forums for a guideOr you could get a Bluetooth receiver, YMMV
>>28956304just buy an FM transmitter, 10-15 eurodo not hack up the car
>>28956328This is the easy answer. 12v powered FM transmitter that connects to bluetooth of your phone
>>28956335>>28956328>>28956311Thank you all for the answers. I'll look into getting the FM transmitter, seems like the better option considering my limited experience.
>>28956341it looks something like this, you plug it into the cigarette lighterthey sell them in grocery stores
>>28956304Some Fabias have an aux port near the handbrake beside the 12V socket. If yours has one you can connect your phone that way. Only other way (beside replacing the head unit) is an FM transmitter.
>>28956304Since yours one has the swing radio it might have a MDI port inside the glovebox (I think) like pic related. I think you can get an adapter of MDI cable to USB and connect your phone that way.

Take the touch screen Android/iPhone car deck pill. They're not even expensive
hitler built the radio in to the 5000 pound concentration camp oven with wheels on it to drown out the screaming against the silence of the concentration camps.
