Is November too late to start /out/ing as a first timer? Anything in particular I should know about?
>>2785343You should definitely not go /out/ now. Just stick to the city until at least July. For your own safety.
>>2785343Yeah, give up and stay indoors.
>>2785346>>2785349Oh, okay then. Mum said the same thing.
>>2785343>>2785356Yeah m8 best not to go outside at all. It's too difficult for ya.
>>2785343LMAOO i only go /out/ in winter basically
>>2785365LMFAO!
>>2785343>>2785356Britbong? You'll be fine lad. Just have a decent 3 or 4 season sleeping bag. Weather will probably be shit so don't let that put you off /out/ing in general
>>2785372Thanks m8. Any entry level bags/tents you recommend? Or does anything go at my level? Does a 0°C comfort temperature count as 4 season sleeping bag?
Why Dont You Go Outside Instead Of Posting About It
>>2785385I'd say 0C is more like a 3 season, would probably do for this time of year as long as you're not sleeping on a mountain. Can't give you too much advice really, I bought a cheap 3 season viking trek bag off Amazon a couple of years ago for £30. Still going strong and have comfortably been down to 3-4C no problem. Do your own research though, I'm sure there's much better stuff out there depending on your budget. Not sure about tents, been looking for one myself. The Vango 1/2 man ones seem to be pretty decent. A lot of people like the naturehike cloud up, my brother has one and it gives you a lot of space but I don't think they're great in wind.As a beginner /out/ist in the UK, you can't go far wrong with the D of E recommended kit, tends to be cheap and decent. I don't trust it myself cause there's so much Vango stuff on the list that it makes me think there's some dodgy dealings going on.
>>2785343Just don't go far so you can run back inside if you get soaked and frozen or something. Do little day hikes in your area and try spending nights outside in your backyard.

OP progress update here, I'm getting filtered by fitting my tent and sleeping bag back into their bags, camping is too hard.
>>2785517>>2785574>>2786102>>2786114>>2786139Walk it back, you're still stuck here. This was the end of the thread >>2785392

Okay guys I'm going this weekend to some nearby mountains despite everyone in my family telling me I'm going to die. Weather says night temperatures will be -4°C, hope that's not too bad.
