They have a bunch of other temporary ones (so you can wait to get into the longer program or into a HUD-VASH apartment) where they put you up somewhere for the winter. Some of them are pretty nice and they feed you well. Just use it to hunker down for the winter and explore some opportunities. If you're still intent on going into the wilderness, you'll be better off in the Spring. Good luck.
