My idea to either induce mutations in Plants using harsher conditions or use harsher conditions to select out wildtype shoots in order to select for hardier mutant sports. Then I grow either from seed or sport cuttings the Plants to grow them into the next generation and so forth rinse and repeat the protocol until a much hardier variety is grown. Further pollination may or may not be necessary. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoot_(botany)https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cutting_(plant)
Seeds from a sport is how the Variegated Pink Lemon was born.
Thoughts /pol/?
I want your thoughts!
So like breeding, but in a selective manner? If only someone had thought of this before.i wonder what they would call it.
>>489209281It's a protocol involving sport cutting rescue. It absolutely is selective breeding but with extra steps to ensure survival of genetic changes.
