Datacenters. You forgot, we're building our own technoprison.

Did you also recently announce moving away from Microsoft Office? Sounds like Google might be trying to keep Microsoft from being able to bribe your government back onto the Redmond plantation.

Billion is a number with 9 zeroes, and six billions make it 69.

>SIX billion
never happened

You do understand these datacenters need power and you WILL pay more for energy?

Figure out ways to just replace Google and YouTube.
Anonymity is valuable.
Cryptography is valuable, even if you end up launching something uncontrollable.
Don't take the Apple bait and get trapped in a walled garden.

Or do, whatever.

what you think those datacenters are for anon? what do you think they do?

Your mistake is your are being naive Hans.
You (we europe) cant compete in finance with the US. You We lack two key components:

1. Controlling the debt rating agencies
Moody’s Nueva York, EE. UU. ~40% of the market
Standard & Poor’s (S&P) Nueva York, EE. UU. ~40% of the market
Fitch Ratings Nueva York y Londres ~15% of the market

2. Having the biggest army to sanction and ruin, bomb, assasinate, subjugate, coup whoever dont want to play by our rules. In the same sense: to control raw materials.

Your / our strategy should be the same as China. Become the undisputed manufacturing superpotency, and little by little try to superseed the US finance / millitary assurance sytem but without doing what they do in foreign countries to steal resources secure oil and shit.

Data centers are a huge scam. They generate a very low amount of jobs and most of those aren't scalable i.e. you don't need double the amount of workers to run a center that is twice as large.
The money is a bribe to the government to let Google abuse the infrastructure (and might possibly increase your basic living costs).

Germany is going to fade away once its legacy industries become obsolete (already happening).

Somehow i feel like the German tax payer is going to pay about 7 billion for this miracle.
>>
7 billion is like fucking nothing. Not even the 500 billion for defense will change anything. We need closer to a trillion investment in infrastructure before we could potentially get back on our feet.

>1 data center = 1 billion gallons of water annually
>water can be used around 10-15 times in most efficient data centers before its discarded, polluted
the big whoop? 9000 (indirect) jobs, ie. sandwich sellers, construction, security guards. then you pay for the cleanup, increased water charges, and health risks on top.
shit belongs in Africa beside a nuclear desalination plant.
