where do you land /pol/?

I'm capable of fully visualising the apple, turning it on a podium under studio lighting and completely detailing each cubic inch of it down to the bruise it has on one side
I'll let you figure out where I stand on the "inner monologue" scale
the answer will shock but not surprise

Easily in the top right corner.
I can daydream in 4K with surround sound and even simulate other senses such as touch and taste.
Too bad I'm too retarded to make good use of my brain.

I'm definitely top of the y axis. I don't fully understand the x axis, if I'm being honest. If I close my eyes and visualize an apple I can sense (for lack of a better word) the apple, and understand the texture and shape and details, like the sheen and imperfections of the skin, the deep red color, the stem, etc., but I can't actually "see" it... if that makes sense. Am I supposed to flat out see it as if I were looking at an actual apple? I feel like nothing on the x axis applies to me.
>>
>>535879276
I imagine incomprehensible amounts of information daily. All my work, all I know is my imagination. I have been way too angry and way too expecting of others if you are seriously telling me most can't visualise an apple. My inner world is a rich tapestry.

I felt the same. I see the world I see in my mind in multiplicative states simultaneously, taking many positions wherever I please.
It's not default. It would seem most people are more or less blind to some degree. I'm happy to know others like me exist, at least, even if we are not the majority.
Peace be with you, /b/rother. (I know this is /pol/)
>>
top right. i'm day dreaming constantly and the dreams when i'm asleep feel like real life.
>>
>>535880854
That 'seeing the world in multiplicative states' is really your left brain experiencing empathy or others world view. The level i'm on requires no distrations. I've been to /b/ once in my 10 year /pol/ career. Peace be with you.

I'd love to see anyone actually prove this in a real life test instead of simply claiming it
>>
>>535881067
This is what I don't understand either, but I get tripped up on the use of the word "see". When I think of "see" it is the physical sensation of seeing an actual thing. But I am capable of sensing the details of the apple in the extreme without seeing it. For example, I can imagine cutting into an apple, hearing the knife slice through it, the chop of the knife against the cutting board when it cuts through, I can "sense" the yellow pulp inside, and the moisture of the apple juice on the pulp and on the knife. I can sense the knife slicing the skin from the pulp and breaking off in precise, thin pieces and falling onto the counter. But I can't really "see" any of it... I just sort of "know" about it all.

Visual mental imagery is a spectrum. It's a newish research topic but it appears the median for a human's minds eye is similar to those classic dall-e AI days. You tell someone to visualize a granny smith apple on a marble countertop with a windowsill open to its left pouring in evening light and they can at least get an approximate snapshot in their mind which quickly deteriorates. People with aphantasia would mostly ask why you just gave all that meaningless fucking information because they do not conceive a mental image, or it's degraded. Then people with hyperphantasia can visualize it in great detail, model it in the physical world sometimes. Synesthesians can taste the apple as well. To be clear any research shows people with aphantasia might have slightly higher IQ, perhaps because they process information without having to expend the large load of visualizing it, so throughput increases. Also those with hyperphantasia are fucking mood disorder pits jesus fucking christ. I still would not give up my mind's eye though.

I have a universe in my head. I'm currently trying to figure out a good way to track all the names I want to give each galaxy let alone all the stars, planets, etc. - it's a lot of data. So I'd say I'm like way off to the upper right or maybe off the plane itself.

could be due to having an easier time with abstracting information. If you're constantly imagining things in a hyper-realistic way then you're constantly in-tune with how things are normally, so grasping things that are harder to visualize would be harder. Might be why people that are excellent at programming or mathematics are often not very creative people.

An apple can contain dozens of subtle stripes, blemishes, flushes, etc and you're claiming the ability to look one over quickly and memorize every single piece in perfect 3D context. You're a schizophrenic.

same, i can conjure up the apple but is as if it's in shade and mist, but the sound/word thing is so high i can"listen" to music down to individual musical instruments up to 6-7 of them in my mind whenever i want
the apple gets clear when i am dreaming though no different than reality
