It's... i'm getting frustrated just thinking about it.And this makes me sad, because he is my brother. And he is really smart in some ways. Basically if your friends, family, colleagues, bosses are all liberal, social and career advancement are predicated on you being on the same team; it is very hard to be anything other than liberal. But i still have some liberal views, because the world is not so simple that either side is 100% right. I genuinely enjoy it when somebody presents a compelling argument to me leaving me with no choice but to think deeper on a topic and develop my position further. He would never argue to anything more then emotion or appeals to authority. Of course only authorities he liked counted, if you presented him with different authorities, or hell if you were personally expert on that topic, then they didn't count. I eventually gave up entirely on discussion with leftoids when he verbaitim told me "I don't need to make arguments anon" with a snarky tone like he was explaining why wiping your ass is a good idea. I mean, I shouldn't be shocked, everything he'd ever said or done implied he thought this.
