Why do we give so much money to SNAP and supplemental school lunches. I don't think I have ever seen a poor person (besides meth heads) who was skinny. They are all fucking fat as fuck.I remember the poor kids at school who got free meals and school breakfast could all do with missing weeks of breakfast . People talk about corporate subsidies, meanwhile SNAP is one of the biggest corporate subsidies of all. I fully believe that if you abolished SNAP, there would likely be a 20% price reduction in most goods and you'd see these big box stores begin to pull back in favor of locally owned businesses.
