Plans just laid out by Elmo, the hugely successful falcon 9 and falcon heavy launched most of the mass to orbit from earth last year, a massive 2250 metric tonnes of stuff into low orbit. Starship however will be boosting 750 000 metric tonnes up there by 2029, just a few years away. If you're not invested in SpaceX you're a fucking idiot.

>>536690641IPO's aren't supposed to be a bailout, Elon
>>536690641starship was supposed to be on mars a year ago.
>>536691469So wird das nix. ;)
>>536690641I like how the graph doesn't include last year or any past year or comparison with any other launcher. Very informative!
>>536692261That graph is just Musk forecasting the starship launches, they haven't actually taken anything into orbit with that rocket yet, except a banana.
>>536690641it's difficult to get a sense of scale of these things without seeing them in person. starship assembly on the left, cybertrucks on the far right for reference
From 2200 hundred tonnes to well over 1 million tonnes in 3 years on a new rocket that so far has exploded 13 times. This is the core of Elon's prospectus for the SpaceX IPO, this is the growth forecast for the 2 million million AUD listing. People are investing in this. I think I might be losing my marbles or something.
>>536692261the comparison between spacex and every other launcher in the world is pretty much the same as comparing the little bar on the left to the big bar on the right
>>536692589>except a banana.if that counts then so does the 40 tons of starlink mock sats. but all your complaining just ignores the fact that developing an advanced and so far unique launch vehicle is a complex undertaking and can take longer than original over confident speculations suggested. thats all.
The conman will do this and retards will lap it up again and again. This world deserves everything that's coming.
>>536692758Starship big, yeah yeah yeahIt's not small, no no no
>>536697405You need to get in, maybe try mortgaging your house, you can't afford to miss out on this opportunity.
>>536697667They really need to take a photo of the assembly workers eating lunch sitting on the grid fins like skyscraper construction crews of old
>>536698171i expect you're right, even though you're joking.
>>536690641>If you're not invested in SpaceX you're a fucking idiot.keep pumping those bags, Elmo, there's a sucker born every minute
>>536690641At this rate, all the mass of the Earth will be in orbit within 2 decades. It must stop before it's too late.
>>536690641As the amount of white engineers die they will be replaced by people who can't get us to space. Remember that cgi video India made of landing on the moon? Maybe China can do it but it won't be through Space X
>>536697667Fun fact: they tried many ways of welding of Starship, including fully robotic manipilatos and finally settled to semi automatic laser welding. It's basically manual welding, but has automatic welding wire feed speed regulator.
>>536698559dont worry - if it's no higher than 400-500km in altitude it will all come back down again before long.
>>536698616That's another problem that's ignored, there is only so much engineering ability to go around and they're having trouble with the scale increase right now. Space journalist Eric Berger has argued that the main factor behind the recent anomalies is SpaceX's "ever-present pressure to accelerate, even while taking on more and more challenging tasks", noting that the company may have reached "the speed limit for commercial spaceflight". He also noted that SpaceX is under intense pressure to develop its super-heavy Starship rocket, with many talented engineers being moved off from the Falcon and Dragon programs onto Starship.[131]Rember, millions of tonnes being boosted in a few years.
>>536699061great tasks require great effort. to get starship performing reliably will be a great achievement and im looking forward to seeing it.
>>536690641I trying to avoid companies which likely doing only big losses next two decades.
>>536693757The only reason I am a buyer is because they are the primary vendor of choice for the federal government for space shit. SpaceX has firmly embedded themselves within the DoD, and I don't see that ending anytime soon. Even a liberal administration isn't going to cut off their nose to spite their face by cancelling SpaceX government contracts because there is literally no alternative outside of Russia.
>>536699061Promoting a pump and dump is a crime in most countries
>>536700419blue origin already has a bunch of contracts but with their recent kablooie that might change a bit...already has in fact.
>>536690641Fool me once etc.
Heart shield not gonna cut it. Turn the ship around and fly the other way to slow down then land like booster.
>>536702243not possible. everyone uses friction braking reentry for very good reasons. but it may well end up being the hard part of quick re-usability.
