A character like that can slowly build an undefeated streak against midcard jobbers until you see how the crowds are reacting and determine whether he can vault up into Roman/Brock feuds for the “dominant ruler of the company” schtick. Basically, you have an opportunity to introduce him as a mythical superhuman sort of character. But they won’t. They’ll make him seem normal by making him do silly shit with Ricky Saints and then job to Cody next week. Or worse, they actually book Ricky Saints to beat him tonight. Best thing they could do if they really want to strap a rocket to him, is have Oba beat Saints tonight. And then, since it’s not for the title, have Oba destroy Cody next week. They won’t do any of that. Likely because they don’t see Oba being the sort of character I described. Which I think would be a fumble.
